The girls had their first mini-meet today at gymnastics and did really well. They both made their cartwheel on the beam so they were happy. The coach wouldn't tell them all their scores so they have to wait until Monday for that. They each got to pick one score that they wanted to see and Brooke got a 9 on floor and Jessica had a 8.55 on beam. Those are great scores so everyone was happy. We went to Olive Garden after and now just watching the Michigan football game. :happytv:
That is AWESOME!! Good for them!!! Emily saw some girls at Chick-fil-A doing cartwheels & flips (in the play place) and she SO wanted to do that. I'm thinking that maybe next summer we'll put her in some gymnastics. For now, she has dance class on Tuesdays and choir on Wednesdays, so I don't want to overload her in activities at almost 5.

Congrats to the girls! Those are great scores. :cheer2:
My sister did gymnastices and I remember going to her meets. It was never quite my thing. I did volleyball and the drill team.

Excellent for them!! :cheer2:

How about a weekend GTKYFKK question. Just out of curiosity and to see if there are any other "twilight zone" moments.

What is the street number of your house? :listen:

Our is 1437.

I know for certain that there is one other person on our cruise with the same exact street number in their address. How weird is that???

I'm curious to see if, by chance, there are any other duplicates.

Great news on the girls meet.

I'm sure you are a lot happier about the Michigan/Notre Dame score than I am. :)

Ours is 8900 which you would think would be a corner lot, but instead we are in the middle of the block. We do however have a cross street that if it went through would go up our neighbors driveway.

Our street number is 8775. St. Petersburg is full of numbered streets & avenues, so it's easy to tell that I live between 86th and 87th avenues.

Congratulations to both of them - those scores sound wonderful!

I love the stories about Flat Stanley and his friends!!! Especially photos - and yes, Cindy from home I can see those (weird I know).

9244 is the house number & remember 5 is the minimum characters needed for a post.

Congrats to the girls!

We're taking a break from gymnastics but I can tell the girls really do miss it. Emma is doing a ballet/tap class and she always asks if they can do flips on the trampoline. There's no trampoline, so she's always disappointed. I really think if she sticks with it she could be good, so once winter goes by I may put her back in the class she was in.

Mine is 20. Is that the lowest? I've never lived in a house with more than 3 digits in the number, and I even lived in a house that was 1.

Alrightly, we're back from the company picnic. You can't even call it a picnic because it was a fair. There were 9000 people there. There were at least 15 carnival rides, probably 6 or 7 bounce bounce things. A whole entire row of carnival games (like throw the ring on the bottle and launch the frog into the lillypad) that were free to play with prizes. Bands, facepainting, caricatures, more food and snacks and drinks anyone could ever eat. The blackhawk helicopter was SO cool and the girls sat in it. We stood and watched it take off and it was so cool. There were all sorts of police/fire/military displays. It was amazing. It ended with them passing out litterally tens of thousands of glow necklaces and a 25 minute fireworks display. Now, usually I watch a fireworks display and say <yawn> I wish I was at Disney, but seriously, with the exception of the music (it was showtunes, I like showtunes, but it's not Disney music) this was just as good as Wishes. It was absolutely amazing for a company picnic firework display. I guess now that GE doesn't sponsor Illuminations anymore, they had some extra cash to spend on a one time display. :rotfl:

and a jobe well done for
MICHIGAN

Since I'm already stalking Jim Brickman :rotfl2: I thought I would share a TZ moment that I appear to be having with him!!!

I've been to two of his shows in the past year and clearly love his music. When we were selecting songs for the wedding ceremony I really wanted to fit one of Jim's songs in but didn't want to disneyize the ceremony too much. After Matt and I went to his most recent show in Dallas I was researching more of his songs and selected "If you Believe" (an instrumental) for the seating of the Grandmothers and Parents. Tonight I am sitting here with The Disney Songbook DVD in the computer while I DIS and what do you know - that's one of the songs he played in the Magic Kingdom when they taped the show. I haven't had time to watch the DVD before - it's so cool me and Jim and TZ

Congrats to Michigan!!

The IOWA HAWKEYES also pulled off a win today over those Cyclones - I'm :) big here!

Had fun in chat last night! I forgot to tell you guys - I'm so excited, one of Matt's 2nd cousins (ok the little boy of one of his cousins) sent us a FLAT STANLEY to take around and then send back to the class.

So I know we have a lot of moms and dads here - what are good things the kids like to see Flat Stanley do? How long do we keep him before we return him?

I took Flat Sanley to the FD and took pics of him with the Fire Trucks. He was from a class in Pa.

:rotfl2: wonder if he'd respond. We did send one to Mr. Mickey Mouse and Ms. Minnie Mouse in hopes to receive a letter of congratulations. We also sent one to the President and First Lady.
