We would be very interested in the party bus. There are 4 of us. I would have to know soon to get a room at disney. Right now we are staying at the port. I think this would be a great option even for those who have their own car. It could be cheaper than parking at the port and the gas. This sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Would we be getting to the port around 10:00???

I've read here on the DIS that people do it all the time. But of course, I can't get the search function to work! :furious: I think they just ask at the front desk.

I also believe with Southwest you can have Gary check in online for you guys at home and then you go to a kiosk in the terminal and it prints your boarding passes for you. I'm not at all sure how it works....I've read here on the DIS that people have done it.

We flew Southwest last year. Guest services at OKW front desk helped us to print our boarding passes. We got an A pass too. First to get on...first to get off! :thumbsup2

OHHHHHHHHHH good point about the parking! WOW That is a deal!

Um so is there any chance the party bus wants to stop on the way back to get a marriage license? LOL That's what we have to do on Thursday

I'm sure the party bus would love to stop to get that license. I'm sure someone would love to take pictures for a scrapbook. :rotfl2:

My family had an interesting set of birthdays the past year. All three of my kids turned their age on the day they were born, starting with my middle daughter who turned 21 last August 21st, follow by DD#2 18 on April 18th and DS 24 one June 24th.

That is cool! You couldn't have planned that one unless you are a numerologist! :teacher:

Hey - that is a good idea. We will have a car and will be paying to park it. For those of you that are worrying about getting to the pickup spot - there are taxis to get from one hotel to the next. I wonder if DVC would let us use some of their vans to transport to the pickup spots to get to the cruise?
Our only problem is that we plan to do Kennedy Space Center on the 26th before we go back to the World! :scratchin I wonder if it would be worth the added expense?

That would be sooo funny. A whole bus load of people driving up to get your license. I guess you would have enough people there for witnesses!!

So Gary, what are YOU going to do with yourself??????

Sounds fun, PartyBus... Maybe you could arrange for "Dan" to drive???:rotfl:
Seriously, might I suggest a one-way trip to the terminal, and Disney Transport back. This way we can beat the rush at the terminal, and we can easily get to our ultimate destinations. Just a thought, RRBB and I are planning on renting a minivan with room for a car seat, stroller, and lots of luggage.

I checked with Avis, there is a $9 car-seat rental, but it maxes out at $45.

The idea of a bus sounds good. We would be a party of three if there is room. I would love to avoid renting and returning a car.

Seriously Amy, Cindy left me a "honey-do" list that should keep me busy and out of trouble for quite a while ::yes::

I just got off the phone with Spirit and changed our flight from 4 pm to 8 am so I think we are going to stay at Disney. I was on the phone for over 1 hour to get it changed. :furious: They have a rule that if your flight gets changed by more than 15 min they will change it for free. Our original flight was for 4 pm so the girls could go to a gymnastics meet. The meet got changed and our flight was changed like a thousand times to 2:30. Well the lady said that each change was less than 15 min so she wouldn't change it. I finally talked to a supervisor and she agreed to change it "just this once". By the time I was off the phone MS was closed. I'll have to call Monday to get a room.

Isn't that just maddening!!! That is the way airlines do it... one 10 minute change at a time. It almost doesn't pay to create your schedule around your original flight. It's almost like a penalty for booking early. Our seats have even been changed because they select a new plane!

Glad to hear you hung in there and got a later flight. Good for you! :wizard:

I just found another option. Fl tours has a 22 to 35 passenger shuttle http://www.fltours.com/Fleet.htm

I just called and it would be $720 RT for 22 people. That would work out to be $33 each. I am really excited about doing something like this even if we had to get a few vans each.

What did FL Tours say about luggage? How many pick-up locations could we have? I am assuming just one. Did the $720 include gratuity? The more people the cheaper the transfers. I will ask DH if he would be interested in saving money and going on a party bus!:cool1: We are only renting a car because of the cruise. We have used ME from the airport before and don't mind doing that again! Getting a rental car is a hassle!

How much would parking at the port cost?

For those staying @ DVC resorts could you leave your car parked while you were on the cruise and take the party bus as a transfer service? OR can you only park for free during your stay even if it is a split stay?
