I love waitlisting and having it come thru! Just got a call today. We had ressies at Pop Century for Oct 26,27,28 and now we will be at SSR YAY! We are still waitlisted at BCV though so maybe that will come through.

Our plans are:
Fly in late on Sat 21 and stay at an airport hotel.
Drive down to Port Sun am leisurely (yay, right)
Precruise DIS meet
Cruise
SSR 26-29, Fly home Sunday. Would love to join up someone after the cruise at WDW.

The plan we were on had preferred seating options for the show

;) I was going to ask how some people got in line bfore the regular line! They must have had special coupons, too. We were in the 3rd row, since Patrick agreed (with some strong encouragement) to transfer out of his wheelchair, but the next time we see it, we want to be farther back, to see the flying carpet better. We are going to try to see it tomorrow.

Another question.....is the Pirates of the Caribbean ride different at WDW and DLR? I rode it a couple of nights ago, and it seemed different. I actually haven't been on the WDW one since they updated the pirates.

:sunny: We just got back from La Brea Tarpits museum, downtown Hollywood, and supper at the Santa Monica pier.....what a long day of lots of driving!!!!!

Gonna sleep in tomorrow!

This is because a lot of CM in Florida are retired. They are not in a hurry. They more than likely have Grandkids and are more patient.

The CM in California are College aged kids (majority) and they are in a hurry and don't care that the guests have the most memorable vacation of their lives. IMO

Yes, that's probably a couple of good reasons. I talked to a very nice 60-ish security person who was originally from Canada. She and her husband moved to the LA area because he was transferred here. I also met a cm who has worked here off and on since 1986. She went to WDW last feb and loved it!
She was piloting the Columbia sailing ship that they have at MK along with the Mark Twain paddlewheeler.

oh, my, it's after midnight eastern tiime!

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!!!!

For anyone attending MNSSHP:

DH and I have costumes that are too big for us now and they are sitting in our closet. Anyone who is interested and does not have a costume for MNSSHP please let me know.

DH costume: Grumpy from Disney Store includes beard and hat size XXL
My costume: Snow White from Disney Store includes wig size XXL

These could be shipped before the cruise or we could pack them along.

Zippedeedoodah! I'd LOVE to be Snow White!!!!!
I'll contact you, Connie

Connie,

POTC @ DL is better than @ WDW IMO. There are two drops in DL and not a drop that I can remember in WDW. I can't wait to see how they have redone pirates @ both parks! YIPPEE!

Finished setting up for our annual yard sale this evening. Tomorrow is the BIG day. Eight o'clock for the early birds! I will check in with everyone tomorrow night.

I'd like to join in on the :wizard: Wishes :wizard: Grand Gatherings cruise on the 27th, is it all full already?

Good Morning all.
Sorry I missed chat last night.
I went to a crop last night that went to 11pm so I was beat.

We went to Jeff's union picnic yesterday and had fun. It was HOT, HOT, HOT out. The picnic included beer on tap and wine & soda but do you believe they were charging for bottled water!
We didn't stay late since we were kind of melting in the sun.

Good morning everyone! Had a lot of fun in chat last night but did miss many of our regular Member Cruisers. I'm sure as we get closer we'll have a few more fun chats where we can take over one of the private rooms. :)

Going to be a hot one here as well so I think the order of the day is to stay in and do laundry and house cleaning! What fun!

Yes the package we were on had coupons for preferred seating for Aladdin and also for the Christmas parade (well in that case it was a preferred viewing area). We never did use the ones for Aladdin. If we had time we were talking about going back and sitting up in the balcony so we could see the flying carpet better, but we never did go.

Much as I love POTC at WDW I have always thought the one at Disneyland was a bit better.

Sounds like you had a very busy day yesterday. Enjoy today!

Just curious, what union is he in? My DH - also Jeff - is in the IBEW, electrical union. :)

I didn't make it to chat b/c we were at the movies! pirate: I have to admit, I did really like it, it was really cool. I'm not usually into movies like that, which is why I guess I've never seen the 1st movie. It all made some sense to me, although I'm sure when I watch the 1st movie, a lot more will click.

We have a family picnic here at the house today for my moms club. :headache: Bruce is in the process of driving halfway down to NYC to meet my stepmother to drop off my sister and I'm cleaning up the house. ;) It's supposed to be 90s today with 90s all next week. This is the time of year I really appreciate having the pool! :beach:

There is one drop at WDW.
I haven't been on it since the renovation, but they would not have been able to add or take out a drop during the renovation, so I'm sure it's still there.

I may not have any support but I kinda like the mystery. We really like surprises although a note now and then would be okay. I think the planners are just busy planning cool stuff for us. I doubt DVC managment would allow the cruise to flop. They seem to be selling out quickly and I am sure someone is making some money in the process.

Squid

Steve, by now means am I asking for detail for the cruise itself. I, too, like surprises.

What I'd like to know is ig there are going to be any special packages offered for CC. Like....my kids want to ride bikes. Can I rent them for 2 days instead of 1 day at a discounted price? Will there be a special rate for the snorkeling/bike/raft packages? If the kids want to, can I book them for 2 days at the sting rays (maybe with a discount) or is it limited to 1 per family?

I enjoyed not knowing all the details for the last cruise until we boarded. And, even then, we didn't know what to expect the next day. Getting the navigators at night was such a thrill. We'd circle what we wanted to do and then try to figure out how to fit it all in the next day.

I still feel that even without saying anyting but fluff, they could contact us once in a while. It's been a long time since we received anything. They gave us the teaser of signing up on the member site a while ago. By now, I thought for sure we'd have an update.

JMO :)

We are back from our Boy Scout overnight and had a blast. :) It was a bit hot at first when I tried to go to sleep, but then Walker & I got up and sat with the boys around the campfire until midnight. By then, it was cool enough to actually fall asleep. Sometime during the night, it cooled off enough to need just a little bit of something to cover us up.

We went fishing when we left camp this morning.

It was nice to sit around and talk with the other parents. The boys all seem very well behaved -- which is exactly the type of role models I want Cameron to continue to have as friends.

The kids are filthy and in the process of getting cleaned up right now. I think we're in for the rest of the day.

Whilst fidling around with my ressie...........

If you plug in your ressie and then go to "My Cruise Plans" you can pull up the excursions that will be offered at CC.

There are a few that list "Two Day Rentals"

So I'm guessing that they will be offering these?

So what's this about the Wishes Grand Gatherings cruise on the 27th? Who has the information? Sounds like it might be a fun thing to do. Annmarie
