Doesn't this also mean that in 9 DAYS we can start to book our excursions, etc.?

I have written down in my notes that July 24, 2006 is booking day?

Good morning Member Cruisers

- we sail in 14 weeks!

Guess what? Yup, 14 is my new favorite number!

I'll try to be in chat tonight. I can't wait til we are in single digits (weeks) for the cruise! I was so excited on Friday when I was able to change the whiteboard in my office from 100 days to 99!! That meant we were down from triple digits to double digits for going to WDW and the cruise. The funny thing is that since my countdown started in May several other people in my office have started their own countdowns - weddings, vacations, birthdays! I started a trend! :lmao:

On another note, I attended a budget meeting the other day and received our 2007 budget planning calendar. As I glanced at the schedule, I told a few people I was glad everything had to be completed before the cruise. Someone asked me where I was going and I told them about SSMC06 and wouldn't you know it, there were two people in the meeting that also own DVC and I didn't even know it! Needless to say, the first 10 minutes of our budget meeting turned into a DVC discussion! DVC is a lot better to discuss than budgets any day!! Annmarie

Now that is fantastic! People with whom you work that "get it!" Not where I work.

Diana, you drank them all.

Well, that's ok then I'll bring more. Thanks, I have something to bring to the party. What's the route of the pick-up van/car?
:rotfl:

Annmarie,
I'm continually surprised at the number of people that own DVC and don't know/take advantage of the resources. I'm on this site, frequent DVC talk, DVC rent, the member DVC site from disney, mousesavers, the mouseforless and probably others.

Question to throw around:
What other resources do other DVC owners use to keep up to date with DVC happenings?

BTW, ya'll can come here, I have AC and enough Mickey collectibles to keep you busy for a couple of days :thumbsup2

I'll try for chat tonite!

Off to see pirates in a few minutes YAY! Making dining ressies for Aug and Oct trips now so gotta run.

Have a great day everyone, catch up with ya tonite!

Darn, I should have placed money on that. ;)

I'd say that next week your favorite number will be 13. Lucky 13......it's the same day we're heading to Hilton Head! :beach:

Wait a minute here---you guys all just invited yourselves to MY house? :lmao: I drank all the Twisted Teas yesterday so someone has to bring some more! And Mary, we have AC here so don't worry!

Stacy, seriously, I'm having a Moms Night Out pool party here on Tuesday night so if you want to ditch Jeff and Nick, you are more than welcome to come and hang, there's a lot of scheduling conflicts so not too many people are coming. I'm even making tequila pie! :drinking1

See what I started :rotfl2:
It's like an avalanche. Good thing there are scheduling conflicts since so many other people invited themselves (just like me).
I'll have to see how things go. We are having a surprise party for my Mom on Saturday, and Sunday we are off to Boy Scout camp for the week. So we'll have a lot to do this week. I'll have to let you know if I can make it on Tuesday. What time is this shin dig anyway?

::yes:: Yup. I drank them all. In my defense, I bought a 12 pack, and one of the bottles was cracked and completely empty. :furious: So that left me with 11, then I shared 2 with a friend's DH who wanted to try them out. So, the best I can figure is I had 9. :headache: I woke up with grass stains and bruises on my knees from the very competive volleyball game that went on while the kids were inside watching movies. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: I now really want to party at Diana's house!

We're seeing Pirates as well today Ilene, can't wait - we're meeting some other Disney friends for the 3 pm showing :cool1:

Diana - I know you do, I was making sure Cindy had it in the van for the ride out. It's going to be 100 here today. Yikes!

Well, I was rethinking this. If I have to be to HH by next Sunday, I guess I'll just drive down there from Diana's. Those of you riding with me (I see we're picking Lily up along the way now too :cool1: ), do you mind making a side trip to HH for the following week? We have a two bedroom there so we won't be over our limit of people. :cool1: Beside, Mary, I know you haven't been to Hilton Head. It would be great to see.

We just got off the phone with Scott, our favorite dolphin/beach combing/shark fishing Captain who assured us we're all taken care of with what we want to do there. :thumbsup2 The more I read the DVC board, the more I see that he's getting busier and busier. I just told Gary, joking of course, that I should be getting a finders fee from Scott for all the business he's gained through my posting support of him on the DIS. Last year, he mentioned that he doesn't think that his business would be booming as it is without my help. I don't for a minute believe that, as he does a fantastic job, but I do think the DIS has definately helped to get his name out there for people to consider.

We're back up on the kitchen computer, but we lost all of the emails we had stored. I don't remember all that was there -- but I save a lot of them to look back on as reference sometimes. I guess I won't be doing that anytime soon. The biggest bummer is that I now have no ones email addresses. :( Now that I think about it, I'll have to ask Gary is there is a way to get them all off the backups. There are some that I might not be able to replace for some time and I'd really like to have them. Then there are others, that's I'd prefer not to replace. :rotfl2: Of course, that's no one here.

Gary & the kids are off fishing again. We're all packed for Hilton Head with the exception of shoes which we'll pack next weekend. One suitcase!! Love the washer and dryer in the villas. Wash as we go and take much less in the way of clothing!

I am working on Diana & Stacy's circle journals so I can get them in the mail this week. Between now and the cruise, I still have MaryJ's to work on but I don't see that being a problem.

Tell me, am I crazy for even thinking of this? We have an 8 p.m. flight out of Orlando after the cruise on Friday night. The Boy Scouts are camping that weekend in Michigan, leaving early Saturday morning. I'm thinking, and the Scoutmaster is thinking, that this would be a good campout for Mom to get her feet wet doing. But, that would mean little sleep for the weekend, getting back on Sunday after being gone for more than a week, and working Monday. I know Gary would take care of everything in the house -- making sure it's ready for Monday. I'm so undecided as to what to do. My gut feeling is do it -- no regrets later in life for not doing it. But, I'm also thinking I must be :crazy2: for even considering it.

Cindy - sure I'll go to Hilton Head. I din't think either Mark or my office would mind me being gone for 2 weeks (with one of the weeks being when my boss is gone). :lmao:

Well if you think the camp out would work I say go for it. I know last year we were in Disney in June and we came home the same weekend as the Nascar race in Milwaukee. We planned to head up to the race after we flew home Saturday morning. We would have plenty of time as it was a night race. You know what - as we were landing I turned to Mark and said "do you want to go to Milwaukee" and he said "I don't think so". The week at WDW just wore us out. We just couldn't do it. Good thing too as there was a major storm that night and the race was called early. Not only would we have gotten home later than we thought, but we would have been drenched!

Trying to talk me out of it? ;)

Cameron will be going, with or without me or Gary. ::yes::

I just know that it's probably the campout that would be most likely to my taste. They are doing one in December where they sleep in a cave. :scared: Not my cup of tea. They are doing one in September where it's bow & rifle shooting. Again, not my cup of tea. November is getting colder and I'm not very outdoorsy. So, it looks like October is my only chance. And, once I commit, I can't change my mind at the last minute.

Maybe I'll do some checking online as to what the Michigan Dunes look like.

Two weeks, don't forget about travel time to get back. Better plan on 2 1/2.

I'm sure my daycare families can scramble to find backup care. What's another 1 1/2 weeks of unexpected time off from your daycare provider. :(

Cindy - I'll tag along when you head down to HH. We've still haven't been to that resort.
I say do the camping! If your troop is anything like ours the kids can be a riot! We had fun at the Spring Camporee and I can't wait till next weekend. For the fall Camporee we might have a cooking competition between the boys and the adults. We were going to both get the same food budget and then see what kind of meals we can prepare on that budget. It basically to see who can eat better for the same amount of money!

Cindy, I say you should go camping. Really, you have the rest of your life to get sleep. If it's a great starter campout for you, go for it! I'm sure you'll have a great time, and, if you don't go, you'll end up regretting it.

Oh, and count me in on the road trip to HH! I have to be in Valley Forge, PA on the 27th though, so it'll have to be a short trip for me. :lmao:

Yep! Don't we do this online now! I remember from the Panama Canal we booked excursions and Palo's online. Would these start @ 9:00 am Eastern time?
