Thanks for the update on SW. I've just registered to participate in WDW Marathon Weekend in January, will have to try for some good flights then. (I don't yet know if I can get off from work, but I've registered to participate!) :lmao:

Bragging moment - Sorry! :teeth:

Deanna's soccer team had their last game tonight. Their win tonight gave them 2nd place. The best part is that last Fall they moved up 2 divisions and never expected to be able to compete at that level but were able to place 2nd. :woohoo:

So after the game the girls went to the coaches house for a swim. We were the "bad" parents and let them hang out and swim until 11:00 tonight :rolleyes1 even though they have school tomorrow. Ok, I'm guessing for once they had us in the "good" parent category :thumbsup2

Great news for the soccer team! Definitely a good reason to celebrate and stay up late! :woohoo:

I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday cuz I've been crazy busy, but my baby isn't a baby anymore.

Yesterday was his first day of camp - we dropped him off for 4 hours - and he didn't cry when we left. The teachers did a good job of distracting him. ::yes:: He sure was excited to see me, and exhausted, when I picked him up though. Ian fell asleep in the car before I even got out of the parking lot.

Tomorrow's another busy day, then tomorrow night I'm going to a crop at the GASC. I'm really looking forward to it. I had nearly 300 pics printed the other day so I'll keep plenty busy.

Great news on the soccer team Gail! :cheer2: You should brag!

I hope everyone enjoys their Thursday! I am on a 24 today, but tomorrow we are going with our DD and her family to Brookfield Zoo. Seems someone else was just there and I dont remember any PICS being posted :rolleyes1 so I will TRY and do better but they may have to wait till Sunday we have a wedding to go to Friday night and another Saturday!

Way to go, Deanna & team!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I can't believe schools not over yet up there. Just when do they get out?

Oohhh, maybe we will be able to come to Chicago this summer!! I'll have to look into it. I'd drive to Orlando to get a flight that cheap, but it would be better if I can get it from Tampa.

Come on up!!!

Actually, I've been thinking about bringing the kids down just for a weekend. We still have AP's, we still have points. It just might work. I need to look at the calendar. :thumbsup2

She is also telling me that IAN may be disappointed that his Internet Harem might get upgraded from Flounders. I hope he won't be too lonely there...

I've been hesitant to say this, but I feel you are completely overestimating the capacity of a child under two years of age. Children that age typically don't usually engage in "playing with others" in the sense you are thinking of. Ian isn't going to notice who is in Flounders much less care whether or not they are boys or girls. Furthermore, referring to little girls as a "harem" is completely demeaning to women of all ages. I am raising my daughters to be strong minded and independent and will continue to remind them that they are EQUAL to boys and men at any age. It's 2006 and ALL women and girls should be viewed that way ALWAYS. At ages 2 and 3, I will not allow my DDs be classified that way.

Rest assured, there will be plenty of other children in Flounders.

Good morning everyone!

Gail - congrats to Deanna and her team! Way to go!

Steve - have fun at the zoo. We need to get over there and see all the new things they have this year.

I have just a couple. :)

It's hard for me to post pictures when I go with the daycare as I'm not really comfortable posting someone elses child's picture on the internet. So, you'll just have to suffer through with the couple that I have of Walker.

The lion. He sure looks gentle, doesn't he?

This is one of the goats in the children's zoo. I took this before the goat decided it didn't like Walker giving it a hug and tried to pin him between it's neck and the side of it's body. The look on Walker's face was priceless. :teeth:

This is one I took of just Walker when we went back the next day. In the background, you can almost see the new carosel -- it's huge!

Oh Cindy - you make me homesick for Brookfield. It really is a great zoo! We have a nice zoo here in Tampa, voted #1 Family Zoo by some magazine, but it's small compared to Brookfield. Brookfield will definitely be on the agenda, the next time we come up for a visit.

Cindy - great pictures of the zoo. We definately need to get over there and check it out. After all we are members. :)

Gail - :cheer2: Yea for Deanna!!! That's great news and you should brag. That's part of a mom's job!

Steve - Sounds like you are going to have a fun few days! The Zoo & 2 Weddings! Phew!

Robin - They grow up so fast. It almost kills you when you drop them off at a new place and they don't seem to know you are missing.

Cindy - Nice Pictures!

I just had a thought. If you do decide to come up here and need some guest passes for Brookfield Zoo, let me know. We always have extras.

ETA:
I just read that Brookfield is on your agenda!! :thumbsup2

You are so right, Stacy.

On Walker's first day of preschool, I dropped him off and walked out in tears. I went to pick him up when it was over and he took one look at me and threw himself down on the floor. The teachers were dumbfounded -- telling me he had a wonderful day. And, that's exactly what it was!! He didn't want to leave.

So, twice that day, I walked out in tears.

Well this is it for me until Sunday.
We are all packed and ready to head off to the airport. Raleigh N.C. here we come! :thumbsup2

Doing dinner with Jeff's family tonight. Then my niece's graduation & party tomorrow. Saturday we'll be hitting the Museums and checking out downtown Raleigh, and trying to get a baseball game in there somwhere since the Durham Bulls have home games all this weekend! Then back home on Sunday. :woohoo:
So hopefully I'll catch up with everyone in chat on Sunday night!
