Good afternoon everyone!!

The rain continues here in central FL, but it looks like that's the most that we will get (with the occasional tornado watch thrown in for good measure).

Anyway, my mailman delivered a package from DCL today about our upcoming cruise. It was a cruise planning kit with the normal packet about the ship, etc. Also, it mentioned that the day for making advanced Palo, spa, etc ressies would be 7/24 for CC members. Hopefully that will stay the same, even though DVC is chartering this cruise. And finally, in the package was a card from DVC requesting everyone to update their email address to receive special cruise news.

Excellent news Amy! We got something like that before our May one as well. I really liked it. Can't wait to see if it is waiting for us as well. My guess is we'll get it in a couple of days.

The waitlist we've been on for VWL came through!!! So that means we can take family to the lodge in early December (my favorite time for the lodge)....

We've been holding out breath for that one to come through so we could stay there!

So, no cruise.....yet.

But we'll be putting in a reservation for that week for the kids and I at WDW....so at the very least we'll be down in FL. Heard there was going to be a MNSSHP that week!!! Yippie!

Thanks for the pixiedust....if it's meant to be, it will come through!

July 24th.....we'll be in Hilton Head. Can someone refresh my memory as to how we made those reservations last year? Was it online or by phone? I'm thinking it was online and I'll be SOL as we don't have a laptop to take with us and don't really care to get one either.

I received mine on Saturday. It did not include a card from DVC, but I already updated my email address through the member web site.

Diana, I am sorry as I didn't mean to bring up sad memories for you. I changed my original question from advice given by mother or father. I'm sure many of us have advice the our Dad's gave us that was just as bad --- like my Dad always said "eat your vegetables, it will put hair on your chest". Ummm, I didn't really want hair on my chest then or now.

Amy, we got the DCL pack also. At first when I opened it I thought they were sending cruise specific info. What is interesting is that we have reservations for the 11 day cruise in September and have not received a packet like this for that cruise. (Gail, have you received anything for the 11 day???)

We are getting light rain off and on. Not suppose to get bad here till tomorrow. Sure didn't like hearing they were going to up grade the storm to a hurricane. We sure can use the rain. Currently have an 8 inch deficit, so a couple days of rain will help. Just don't want too much too fast. (not that we will have a choice)

Amy, hope all you get is rain, no tornados, no floods and that it passes through quickly.

Oohhh so sorry about the flooding and DH having to take care of it whilst recovering from his extractions. Ouch!

We will be staying at the Radisson in the Port the night b4 cruising. I hope everyone enjoys the meet up. It seems like a great place to use.

Yay for only 19 more weeks!

Ummm, I’m already forgetting all I’ve read since I’ve last posted. (At least I’m getting in some more post time.)

If anyone else here is an addicted knitter (or wants to be) I'd like to arrange a knitting circle on the cruise. I'm not sure what would be a good time, maybe while at Nassau port as I don't get off there (too depressing BTDT anyway). Or maybe it could be each afternoon from 4-5 some such thing.
I know I'll be bringing knitting and would love to knit with others around the adult pool or in a lounge if it's too hot or rainy. I guess I could post on my fish by my door the spot/time for each day? Have others ever tried to arrange a group meet of some sort and have it go? Just thought it might be fun. I'd even be willing to teach.

Got my Travel Kit for the Member Cruise in the mail today!

It says I can start booking excursions on July 24th!!!! Wow....it is coming up so quickly!

I just hope we can make it on the trip....we may have to cancel. We have my sister scheduled to fly down and watch the kids, but she may not be able to make it. If she can't make it, then we will have to cancel

If we do have to cancel, at least we are already booked for December 2007 for the 7 night Western WITH the kids....will just have to look forward to that!
