Welcome Back Julie and Tina!!!

Happy Belated Anniversary John and Debi!!!

Round Two Questions:

A) what is the worst meal you have had at WDW? (any associated warnings)
O’Hana. Service was lousy, food only OK and they forgot to announce my parent’s 40th anniversary (my mom was happy, she gets embarrassed at stuff like that).

B) What was the best thing a CM ever went way out of their way to do special for you…
Two things come to mind: 1)My dad left Casey’s stroller in the wrong spot at CRT and when we came out it was gone. Well, Casey was upset because it had her matching hat to the clothes she had on so we went to lost and found several times that day. On the last trip before we left the park a manager came and escorted us to the hat stand and instructed Casey to pick any hat she wanted (she picked Minnie). Later that trip we went to the character meal at Hollywood and Vine and she had the characters sign that hat. 2)In November 2004 my parents, Casey and I attended the Party for the Senses in Epcot and watched Illuminations together. Then, we split up where my parents went back to the room and Casey and I went to MK (it was open until 11PM that night). When we arrived at MK we realized that my mom had Casey’s pass so we spoke with the ticket office and explained what happened. They asked what resort and room #, looked at our account and gave us a replacement ticket (Thanks again Mandi!).
C) What is your favorite attraction (in each park, and if it is still too hard, in each land)
MK: Main Street – Casey’s Corner; Fantasyland – Peter Pan and Philharmagic; Tomorrowland – People Movers and Carousel of Progress; Frontierland – Splash Mountain; Adventureland – The Tiki Room; Liberty Square – The Haunted Mansion
EC – Future World – Spaceship Earth and Soarin’; World Showcase – Canada and France movies and Mexico boat ride
MGM – Sounds Dangerous starring Drew Carey, Muppets 3-D, Indiana Jones (this one may be going away soon)
AK – It’s tough to be a bug, Primeval Whirl, Killimanjaro Safaris

D) Rental Car or Disney Transport
Both, plus my own car now that I’m in Florida. We’ve used a towncar for the grocery stop, Disney transport for short trips and rental car for longer trips or for Spring training baseball.
E) Have you ever Pool Hopped? If so, please tell us
Yes, 3 times. First from BWV to Y&BC in 10/03. Clown slide was being re-painted so if we wanted a slide we could go to SAB. CMs drove us over in golf carts. Nothing like using SAB for BWV SV points! Second time was at MH staying at OKW and using SSr pool to try it out. Third time was March 2005 staying at SSr and trying out the new slide at OKW.
F)What is your favorite place on the Wonder/Magic?
Don’t have one yet. If I had to choose it would be the lobby because that’s where I saw most of my new friends last cruise.
G) After your initial purchase, how often do you speak to your guide?
Once for an add-on when BWV points became available again.
H) Dole Whips,Mickey Bars, and other treats… what is your favorite snack?
Used to be an A&W root beer float right after exiting the Tiki Room. Now that I can’t have sugar, probably popcorn from the cart on the end of Main Street towards the castle.
I) Are you going to buy more points on the cruise?
Probably not. For a single person I have more than enough already. The incentive would have to be pretty good. It would be hard to resist a Contemporary add-on (if announced by then).

I've actually never stayed at OKW. :scratchin They don't have elevators there do they? I can see that pesky double stroller loaded with my 70 lbs of kids getting awfully heavy on those stairs. Are you volunteering to carry it up for me?

I think it is buildings 62-64 that have elevators.

Jeff - are you diabetic as well? We are getting quite a group going and you would make it a quintet I believe.

I'm embarrassed to say I do know the movie to which you are referring to. :sad2:

(1) Sounds like BCV or 'Toga for ya hon. :wave2:

(2) So you know that I am referring to the Julie Brown song that she sings about an hour into the movie while she is on the beach. :stir: If you don't remember I'll post the lyrics for you.

Our officiant is someone you haven't met yet - her name is Mary Ann and she's a good friend of the family who also happens to be a judge in Iowa. We will be contacting the clerk of courts in Florida to see if she can be "deputized" or such for the day to marry us. If not, well she will also be able to be an ordained minister by the Universal Life church which is recognized by Florida. Oh - and actually we could just fly to Iowa, get our marriage license there and get married in FL as the state of Iowa doesn't say we have to be married in Iowa, just by someone legal in Iowa to do it. Wild I know, but I don't want to be married by a stranger. Jack would be my pick though :)

That makes it so special when it's someone you know doing it!

We have a family friend who is a deacon. He was good friends with my parents when my mother was alive. Then he married my father and stepmother. His wife past away about a week after Emma was born and he said to me, I have to do her Christening, I really need to do it. So he eventually baptized both my girls. It really made it so much more special.

I actually remember watching the video on MTV back in the day! :lmao: I have to confess though, I'm not THAT blonde!

Dining Information for the Cruise

Here are the people I have who have indicated they would like to sit together for dinner on the cruise. This is for EARLY dining only. I don't believe anyone has offered to coordinate a group for late dining. If anyone is interested, feel free to go ahead.

If you are not listed and would like to join us, here's the information I need you to send to me in a PM. Your last name, first name, DIS name, confirmation #, cabin #, how many in your party, how many children - if any, and if you have a preference as to who you sit with.

For anyone who has a request for seating, please send me a PM and I'll make a note of it. By now, maybe you have an idea of who you would like to spend your 4 nights of dinner dining with -- or who you wouldn't like to dine with. I can take those requests as well. ;)

:thanks:!

You guys should star in your own sitcom! Although, druken, anal Diabetic pretty much describes me too! :rotfl:

We'll remember all the "little people" when we're famous! :smooth:

And, just what poor Curt needs: Another woman like me to give him a hard time... :rotfl2:

(And thanks for that, BTW) :thumbsup2

I'll start trying to come up with a new group name now, just in case. :teeth:

Good morning everyone! Wow Cindy that is quite a dining group. Thanks for organizing all that!

WOW, won't our DCL rep be surprised when we send her all of this info, huh?!?!?!

Good morning everyone!! Happy Thursday!! Soon, we'll be heading for Emily's school for their Easter party. They are having an Easter egg hunt, a snack on the patio with egg salad sandwiches (as a class project they made the egg salad), and then they will have a party with cookies to decorate too. Should be fun, but exhausting!!

Sounds like a lot of fun, Amy! I'm sure you'll need a nap when you get home!

I'm off to kickboxing in a few. Gotta practice those fighting skills so people don't mess with me! It's amazing how if you think about something you'd actually like to hit, it kicks the workout up a notch. So the moral of that is--stay on my good side! :lmao:

Then we are going with our moms club to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny. I seriously need my head examined for this trip, but my girls love the mall, so it's not an issue for me....it's the other kids that interupt my shopping bliss. But I would never use my kickboxing skills on a toddler. Little old ladies who get in the way of my bargains, maybe....toddlers, never. :lmao:

Hopefully that will be a pleasant surprise! :cheer2:

I just wanted to post it again in the hopes of someone else wanting to join in our group.

You know, we are going to be the area with the most fun -- we'll probably have others joining in who aren't even DIS'ers. Didn't that happen with Gail, Steve, Mark & Mary's table last cruise --- didn't you all receive a bottle of champagne from the next table over?

Guess I'm safe as I'm not a little, old lady......yet! :lmao:

This is my Friday as I'm closed tomorrow for the "non-service" day as the schools refer to it now.

My little Easter Bunny helper is just getting dressed now. I promised him that I wouldn't hide the eggs in the yard until he could help me. I'm not sure how that becomes fun for him, but, hey, whatever. I'm flexible! I'm sure Cameron will help as well.

Sounds like fun, Diana! We got lucky with our visit to the Easter Bunny. The girls were all dressed in their Easter outfits to get pictures at JCPenney. We came out to go get lunch in the mall and the Easter bunny was there. At first, Emily didn't want to see him, but after lunch, she was more than willing. We have a cute picture of them.

I'm sure it will be a pleasant surprise. It'll probably be pretty easy. Put ALL of these people on the same rotation, in the same section of the restaurant. Sounds pretty easy to me!

Awww, that's sweet that he wants to help. Emily's school is closed tomorrow for Good Friday, and Monday for Easter Monday, so she gets a nice, long weekend. For me, it means that she's home for 4 chaotic days. If only those 2 girls could be nice to each other ALL the time.

We sure did! It was the shy ones like John, Steve & Dale that had the most interaction with the table next to ours (I was too busy taking pictures of ohiominnie and her family).:lmao:

The shy group also got on the good side of one of the chefs (I think this time it was the ladies Gail, Coleen and Karen) and on our last night at dinner the chef sent out 3 big plates of logensteno (sp?) lobsters. They shared them with this other table and then next thing we know one of the gentlemen from that table gets up and leaves and comes back with a bottle of champagne for our table. We had great fun!

I think with the big group we'll have even more fun this year. On our 10 day in 2004 we had 7 tables all linked together and it was great fun to see everyone each night! Lots of mingling done.
