Good morning everyone!

Karen - OMG that isn't what we think at all! :rotfl:

Julie - sounds like what you wore at Texas would really make you stand out in the crowd! :)

For all those who celebrate - a very happy Passover.

Cindy - that's some of the magic of Disney. There are many locations for the ceremony (Wedding Pavillion, Yacht Club Gazebo *that's us*, Sea Breeze Point, Epcot World Showcase etc) and many for receptions. We simply started asking our team about unique locations in MGM and worked to incorporate what we love most about the park and what would be unique for our guests and for us. Most custom weddings at Disney have a pre reception (cocktail hour but not called that in disneyspeak), dinner and then dancing or other entertainment. We will have the pre reception during a cool MGM show (hint) and then move into dinner (3 - 4 courses) and our entertainment which includes a DJ and other fun like caricature artists etc.

I'm not trying to be evasive about the locations, we simply made a decision a while back not to give away our reception details until after the wedding.... I'll happily blab on the cruise :goodvibes

Julie, we'll talk on the cruise --- or you can post all the specifics and pictures afterwards. :thumbsup2

8. What is your most magical moment as a DVC Member? Probably the trip we took for Nick's 8th b-day. Between getting a special wakeup call with a card and ballons to the mini b-day cakes he got at just about every restaurant we went to and having people sing happy birthday to him. I couldn't have planned anything like that even if I had tried!

And this is exactly what makes Disney so special. Things like this you can't plan and it's sad that some people try to do just that. I've been around here long enough to read about people who expect the magic to happen to them. And, sadly, I feel maybe if they would just let it happen rather than force it or expect it, they might be able to experience it too!

Go with the flow -- it's so much easier.

I don't mean to sound like a snob but now that we own DVC, we vacation much more relaxed than we ever would have without it. I understand that going to Disney is a huge expense and for some families they will only go once and want to make the most out of their trip. I feel sorry for them, sorrier for their children who are dragged along even though they are exhausted, so that they can see that one last attraction before calling it a day.

We are so very fortunate!

That's what Gary said too!

But, Julie, no fear, of course, Gary spotted you! No problem in the crowd of thousands all dressed the same! :rotfl:

Hi Julie!

You forgot Sunset Pointe. Sure, that's only for intimate weddings, but magical nonetheless! :wizard:

I have an idea of where your wedding is....but that's only because I know what the options were. But your secret is safe with me! :rolleyes1

Will you share who the officiant is? Rev Jack did our wedding and I have to say he was the nicest person I've ever met in my entire life. Randy Chapman did our photography and he was perhaps the 2nd nicest person I've ever met in my entire life.

Gary just showed me what came in the mail yesterday.

Credit vouchers for all 4 of us from USA3000 airlines. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Apologizing for the delay of our original flight. I never did call or write the airlines so they must have done this for all of their passengers.

Now, do we trust them or not for October? :rolleyes1 Maybe we will fly down on the Friday before. They don't fly on Saturday so that's not even an option and I'd never fly any airline on Sunday -- I'd be a nervous wreck.

What to do, what to do? :scratchin

That's pretty cool! You can fly down on Friday and before flying home after the cruise, check to see if your flight is on time. If not, enjoy a longer stay at WDW! :sunny:

Fly down on Friday and then come to AK with us on Saturday morning and watch the girls so I can ride EE ! :lmao:

Which reminds me....I really need to figure out where I want to stay pre-cruise.

OKW - That way Karen and I won't feel so lonley out in the "sticks". (Granted, really nice sticks)

BTW Diana, have you ever seen that movie with Gina Davis, Jeff Goldblum and Julie Brown? Just wondering.... :rolleyes1

BTW Good Morning all....

Hey, we could get there early and get fast passes and then use them to get baby swaps!! That's what we did with Amy & Chris and it worked great! :teeth:

Will Bruce ride EE?

Remember, I offered to watch the girls so you and Bruce could ride Soarin' together. But I guess you thought I couldn't handle them that day! :rotfl2:

A tidbit of information from our May cruise. DCL is offering 2-day rental options on tubes, bikes, and the castaway cay package. For example the tubes are $6 for one day rentals and $7.50 for the two days.

I know on the first member cruise they offered a buy the first day get the 2nd day free for the same deal. While this one is even better I'll be happy with a deal like above.

Yeah - my second top of the morning!

Hi everyone!

Been a bit busy so I don't get to post as often as I would like to here right now. Between helping the youngest ds move into his own place and the new baby, I've been a running like crazy!

I sure am looking forward to getting away in a few weeks - I'll try and catch up on all the reading all the posts here when I can. :surfweb:

Bumping us back up from the bottom of the page.

Hope everyone is having a great afternoon! :sunny:

I've actually never stayed at OKW. :scratchin They don't have elevators there do they? I can see that pesky double stroller loaded with my 70 lbs of kids getting awfully heavy on those stairs. Are you volunteering to carry it up for me?

I'm embarrassed to say I do know the movie to which you are referring to. :sad2:

ACK how could I forget Sunset Pointe? :) Very magical and I really wish they allowed custom weddings there.

LOL on the location - ok, we'll talk :thumbsup2

Our officiant is someone you haven't met yet - her name is Mary Ann and she's a good friend of the family who also happens to be a judge in Iowa. We will be contacting the clerk of courts in Florida to see if she can be "deputized" or such for the day to marry us. If not, well she will also be able to be an ordained minister by the Universal Life church which is recognized by Florida. Oh - and actually we could just fly to Iowa, get our marriage license there and get married in FL as the state of Iowa doesn't say we have to be married in Iowa, just by someone legal in Iowa to do it. Wild I know, but I don't want to be married by a stranger. Jack would be my pick though :)
