Alas Mary, I am FROM Berwyn. I currently rest my Mouskaears in the Detroit burbs. Karen and I are definately plotting a Dis-meet this spring/summer though. (She has recently feel in love with Chicago) GO CUBS!!

Curt - I know you don't live here anymore. I was hoping that if we had the meet in Berwyn we could convince you to come back.

I have to admit this much---I'm ALWAYS the one getting picked on, so it's such a refreshing change that I can participate in the "picking" for a change! Thanks for being a cheater, it's making this thread fun for me!

I promised I wouldn't kill you guys with repeating this info over and over, but it's been a few days so I wanted to post again for anyone who missed the last post!

***T Shirt Information***​

When I gave my last update on the shirts, I had set a design deadline of April 1st. April 1st here, so here's where we are:

The Vendor
It seemed like everyone who voiced their opinion was ok with using Cafepress. So, right now, unless anyone speaks up with a good reason not to use them, that's who we are going with.

The Designs

For the front design, we have lots of different options and no clear majority choice. Here are the designs:

The Plan

Here's what I'd like to do. I think it will be easiest if you just post here IN RED your vote for the front design. I'll keep a running tally of the votes and we'll set a date of April 8th to close the voting. I really don't want to innundate the thread with t-shirt info, and prefer that you guys don't hate me for killing the thread with shirt stuff, so every couple of days I'll post a vote post with the choices again, short and sweet so any people who don't read back can catch it. I thought about doing a seperate thread with a poll, but this way everyone who checks the thread here won't have to worry about finding another thread somewhere else to post on, plus right now, we're only voting on the front design, so I don't think it will be as chaotic as could be. Once the voting closes, I'll get with the designer and upload the image into our cafepress store and we'll be open for business I'm estimating by April 15th!!!

Once again, I appreciate everyone's opinions and thoughts so feel free to pm me with anything about the shirts. These aren't MY shirts, their OUR shirts and I want to make sure everyone is happy with what the group decides!

I know I'm a day late, and probably a dollar short, but today my favorite number is 29! It seemed like we'd never get into the twenties, yet here we are. Another week closer to sailing. Yippee!!! ​

Just booked a 1 bdrm at BCV after the cruise. Well, we're waitlisted for Thursday night, but we have time for that to come through. If it doesn't, we'll just stay on the ship - I'm sure they would understand

That's the one. I'm not too surprised at getting the Friday & Saturday since the points are higher - I just hope the 26th comes through. Now I have to decide on somewhere to stay before the cruise - the easy part is I know it will be somewhere on property.

Not unusual at all for here! Last year we had a snowfall on April 24. It was enough to cancel Deanna's 1st soccer game of the season. Heavy wet snow, sleet. Of course it was gone within a couple of days. In April we have been know to have really cool ice storms - well, cool if you are lucky enough to be one of the people with power!

Thank you! Everyone looks at me like I have three heads when I bring up that snow! I realize that they're trying to purge it from their memories, but, sheesh. We got something like 4 or 5 inches.

Mary - We'll be there! (Whether Curt knows it or not, we'll be there!) I love Chicago to begin with, and now that we have friends there, it's even better!

Just don't plan either the Michigan or Chicago meet for July 17-22, please - We'll be baking at OKW (and Daytona) at that time.

Y'all have been so chatty. It took me over 2 hours to get all caught up, and that's only yesterday's and today's posts.

So what have I learned in the last 2 hours?
1) Curt is a cheater and is looking for a new tag.
2) Diana bites and her husband is a geek.
3) David (my DH) needs caffine in order to type what he means.
4) There's going to be a Magical Gathering fireworks cruise with a great group from here that we'll have to miss since we're heading straight to the airport after the cruise.
5) Plans are already in the works for costumes for MNSSHP. (I wonder if I can convince David to dress up this time around. We didn't go in costume this past year but did a few years ago.)
6) CONGRATS are in order for Roxann's husband's raise and not having to work over the summer.
7) Cindy, Amy, Mary & Diana are all really shy people but not around this crazy bunch of DVC/Cruisers.
8) Cindy might arrange for us to dine out in the lifeboats by ourselves if David doesn't play nice.
9) It is possible to get in on this cruise from the waitlist - CONGRATS Tina & daughters!!!
10) I'm so glad I live down south and not up north where it's not unusual to see snow in April/May. (Have I ever mentioned I hate cold weather?)
11) Looks like we'll miss some fun pre-cruise meets because we live way down south in Texas. Oh well, we'll see y'all in October anyway.
