Thanks Amy - pm sent!

I looked at the ones on two peas and it looks like in most cases they knew who was participating ahead of time and listed them. I'm assuming we'll have a list ahead of time too correct?

I'm really looking forward to this!

I'm going to send a book I won on SSMC03. It is 8 x 8 with a fixed number of pages so I'll have to see how many people sign up before I see if I want them to do one or two pages.

Yes, we'll have the list ahead of time. I'll get everyone to sign up by the end of next week. Then, I'll use everyone's addresses to create the mailing order. You will always end up mailing to the same person on the list.

Anyone watching the Rose Parade? Poor Mickey is sopping wet! And everyone else too, but Mickey was the only character that didn't have an umbrella.

I was just watching that!!! It just gave me chills to see them! Oh, how I love Mickey!!!

I know, it brought tears to my eyes! It was beautiful! I noticed the other more popular characters didn't have umbrella neither. Like Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip & Dale. Maybe it's too hard to hold one? Also I bet you, it takes away from them, you want to see them. Would be hard to take their picture too, if it was blocked by umbrella, they are constantly turning around. The fireworks really added to their float.

Well and now that I'm really thinking about it, it's not like they are really getting wet, like Alice and the Mad Hatter, they would have water dripping off their noses if they didn't have an umbrella.

I thought the float was gorgeous though and the fireworks were so cool.

We are back home - actually we got home Saturday morning at 7:30. Not too bad of a drive, about 20 hours! This was our first 2 week vacation and we had a great time. The cruise was really nice and we then spent a week at WDW staying at OKW. We made it a very relaxing trip, going to the parks to see a parade and then leaving. Waiting until late night entry to visit that particular park. We actually enjoyed the activities at the resort. Deanna met 2 other girls who's families were just hanging out at the resort, so they had alot of time to play.

We are finally unpacked, now trying to wade through the Christmas gifts and get that stuff all put away. I was going to take the Christmas decorations down today, by my in-laws are coming by for a visit. Guess I'll work on putting the decorations away tomorrow. We sat down yesterday and worked on our basement plans. We have talked about it for 2 years - now's the time to just get it done! I guess getting the basement finished is our New's Year Resolution. :Pinkbounc

Hopefully tomorrow I will have the time to read all the posts from when I was gone and try to get caught up.

I don't know how they usually do it but when we were there for NYE 1999 into 2000 the Midnight fireworks were shot off from behind the American Pavilion.
People at the Epcot resorts probably had a better show then some that were in the park

Exactly, and we got screwed because of it. We had found a nice comfortable spot by a big tree to the right of Italy as you face it, not far from where ABC had their cameras. While a bit back from the lagoon, we figured it still gave us a good view of anything in the sky. When the fireworks were shot of from behind AA, they ended up right over us and the tree blocked a good portion of what we could see.

THE HELL YOU SAY! Taking down the decorations BEFORE we get there??? :earseek:

Well I am glad you made it home safe and sound. And I hope you took LOTS of pics to show us. We are leaving about 9:30 or so our time I suppose. I figure its about 5 hours or so ,depending how long we stop at the wineries. :rolleyes1 See you Friday!

Hey there!

Chat was a lot of fun last night. I can't believe we were there for 3 hours either!

Amy - I'm definately in for the CJ! I'll pm you my info. I have the perfect book in mind to use. Creative Memories had a 7x7 Disney album which I have 2 of and once I know how many people will be doing it I can make sure I have enough pages in the book! Thanks so much for organizing yet another project!!

Sandy - I didn't even know that they had TV cameras at the park until after we got back home and a friend of mine told me about it and said they were trying to look for us in the mass of people. We had a so so view of the midnight fireworks

We watched the Rose Bowl parade today. I love that parade, I watch it every year I usually watch it on HGTV because they give you so much information about the floats and flowers that were used. :flower: I couldn't believe how much it rained. Some floats were looking a little rough at the end but were still awesome. I absolutely loved the Disney Float. Leave it to them to have fireworks on the float!

I'm so jealous. I have the CM Disney book done as Emma's first Disney trip scrapbook. I won a CM 7x7 at the last crop I went to, but it didn't come with any pages and it would be cheaper to buy a whole new album then the CM pages for that book, so I figured I'd better run up to Mike's with my 50% coupon this afternoon and grab one. I'm disappointed in what I got. They had some strap hinge ones that were pretty cheezy looking in 6x6 and 5x7. They only came with 10 pages and didn't have any refils. So I settled on one of those wire notebook kind, it's a 6x8, so it's decent sized and has like 35 pages in it. Thankfully, I searched twopeas before my shopping trip to see what others have used and I've seen that type done in many pictures and it still looked good. I'm SO ready to start working on mine!! Of course, I haven't done one piece for the swap I have due on the 15th and need to desperately finish my SSMC05 book. I'm lucky I have 3 crops to go to this month!

Well, you're one step ahead of me! I don't even have my album yet. But, I did order some stuff online to go in my album, that I don't have yet.

Well just got back. Had a great time at WDW. The trip home ended the ear with a big bang! I recked my car in Atlanta. Went over one of the curves you can't see around. Traffic was stopped. Not enough time to stop. I did a job on a pick-up trucks bumper. :earseek: My van will be going in to the body shop on the 9th. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone,

I'm out here lurking, hoping that I'll be part of the group come October. I am wait listed as of last week. I've never been on a MC and had no idea that it sold out the day reservations opened. We've been on the Magic 3 times, including the FL-CA cruise. You'd think I'd know wouldn't ya?

I hadn't decided to go until last week. My oldest son, 23, will be joining me. He's never cruised before. Our younger two have been on the other cruises with us and want to stow away, but not this time. We are actually going back out on the Magic the week after Thanksgiving '06 so they aren't being deprived in the least.

So here's hoping we'll be on the ship with all of you.

Juli

Welcome to the group, Juli! We sure do hope that you make it on the waitlist!!!

Good Luck on the waitlist Juli!

Squid

Sandune glad to hear no one was hurt though cars are MUCH easier to repair! Hope your van is as good as new soon.

Squid

Chris - ouch! Sorry to hear about your accident. What a way to end vacation. Thankful that you are ok and it is only the van that got hurt.

Juli- welcome. Good luck on the waitlist.
