My name is Roxann and I attend Overplanners Anonomous! Is there a 12 step program for this? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Roxann,

If there is a program I am signing my sister Gail up for it. We are going on the 11 day cruise together and she has already assigned homework for getting excursion information (and it is due Monday) and we still have our trip to Disneyland before that cruise. Oh well, I think by doing the overplanning it really keeps you excited about the trip. So keep on keepin on the overplanning.

Did you see the thread about the husband who told his wife that as of 4 weeks before their cruise she wasn't allowed to talk about the cruise or WDW. He don't know how long that 4 weeks can really be!!!!!

Now that is funny! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry Roxann - there's no 12 step program. The only thing that controls the over planning is planning another trip. Notice I said control instead of cure - that's because there is no cure! :teeth:

Does that mean that I can't play here anymore?

I am no longer an over planner. DVC broke me of that habit. We vacation much more relaxed than we did in the olden days.

But, I might have to buy tickets next week. ;) I don't want to be the one standing outside the gates crying and stomping my feet when they escort us out of the park. :sad2:

I'm back from my all day crop and exhausted. I finished Cheryl & Amy's circle journals. :thumbsup2

Amy, I'll tell you now, I'm not happy with the letters on my page. I had to scrunch two letters together and it didn't look perfect to me. But, since I stuck them on with my xyron and it wasn't removable glue, I had to leave them. :sad2: Who has a trick for using the sizzix letters and making them fit right? The lady I sat with told me instead of working from the outside in, to work from the inside out. So, if I was using the letters to write "DIS Boards" to start with the "o" and then work my way out doing the "B" & "a" next. Is that how all the veterans do it or is there another trick from the pros?

I even had enough time to do several pages of the album I started of mine & Cameron's trip. Now if I can do any more pages between now and the next 5 years, I'll be in businessl. :cheer2:

I'm glad that you had a great time at your crop, Cindy! And, I wouldn't worry about it.

I do have a tip about putting letters on. Always keep some waxed paper in your crop bag. Then, you can stick the letters on the waxed paper however you want. Then, position it over the page that you want the letters on, and slowly roll the waxed paper down behind the letters and they will adhere to the page, exactly how you put them down on the waxed paper. I learned that tip at my first CKU, and it has always helped me. We did it with just letter stickers, but it would work for xyron'd letters too.

Sounds like you had a fun crop! I think I'm getting roped into going to an all day one next Saturday. The problem is we have circus tickets for 11 and the crop starts at 1. So I'll be getting up at 7, going to class from 8-9 coming home, leaving by 10 to go to the circus. Enjoying the circus, which I read is 2 1/2 hours and then getting home and going right to the crop which doesn't end until 10pm. I've never been one who could "Just Say No" so I'll probably be running myself ragged that day.

As for the letters, I'm still tired, so I'm not sure if this is how your lady told you to do it but I start in the Center and then go left/right left/right working my way out. So if I was going to spell Diana I'd put an A in the dead center, then I'd do an I to the left, then and N to the right, a D to the left and an A to the right. It's always worked for me, but I also tend to use repositional adhesives, but the wax paper thing sounds awesome Amy!

Good morning Member Cruisers
- we sail in 25 weeks!
Woo Hoo ! We are another week closer to cruising!
party:

Cindy - glad to hear you had a good time at your crop. Amy & Diana thanks for the tips on letters. One of my weakest areas.

It is cold and rainy here today and I feel like yuck. Was up most of the night. Definately a stay at home day.

25 Weeks til Cruise Time - I'm so ready!!!

Tonight is DVC Chat - hope to see ya there!

I check into SSR in 17 days - I'm so ready - I need my DVC!!!

I'm with Diana, I use repositionable a lot, but when I'm using the permanent ones, I use the waxed paper trick. And, the great part about it is that since it's somewhat transparent, you can see if it's going to look right on your page, before you stick it down.

It's a beautiful day here, but we're not doing anything special. Chris is going to try to finish up painting the eaves on the house. Then, we need to work on the front door casing and we'll be done with painting the house. I'm still working on the inside, trying to get organized and get ready for Madison's party next Saturday. We decided to skip church this morning, since both girls have runny noses (we certainly don't want to get anyone else sick). So, we'll have all day to get things done around here.

Hey Mary - do you have a plan for what you're doing on the 17th & 18th? That's when we'll be there. I know that I'll be with my brother, SIL and new nephew at MK on the 18th, but we're still up in the air for the 17th. But, I do think that my mom wants to go to Cape May for dinner that night. Let me know, and maybe we can hook up to say HI!! :sunny:

I can't wait to go on the cruise but have to figure out some costumes for MNSSHP. Put me in the over planners group too but . . .

21 days til we're at BCV and believe it or not I haven't planned anything for this trip. Since Tom is still recouperating from surgery I didn't want to stress him out or make him do more than he is physically capable to do. Depending upon how he is feeling over the next 3 weeks will determine how much we do. At this point, he'll be happy just being away!

My best friend called last night and she has decided she and her two teen sons will meet us for dinner on Wednesday night. I suggested Cape May Cafe but her boys don't eat seafood. I would prefer not to go any place that's going to be too noisy either. Any suggestions from my DIS friends? There will be eight or nine (if her BF comes with her).

Well, I've got to go grocery shopping. See you in chat tonight! Annmarie

Of course you can! I'm not really an overplanner - just everyone around me thinks I am :rotfl:

Thanks, Amy. I'll have to get a roll and try that. :thumbsup2

Yes, Diana, this is exactly what she was suggesting I do in the future. When I need to buy new adhesive for my xyron, I will definately buy the repositional type but I'm still using the one that originally came with the unit.

I don't know if all crops are like this, but they had the CM products for sale but then they had a ton of sizzix, cutters, cutting tools. It was really neat and I could see saving a whole lot of money by continuing to go to them. That way, when I want one die cut, I don't have to buy it -- I can just use it at a crop. I had no idea they would provide tools to use. :thumbsup2

This CM consultant also does 2 weekends at Lake Geneva every year. The next one is in October and I'm a little busy that weekend ;) so I won't be going, but maybe next February. :cool1:

Mary, it is yucky here today :umbrella: :cold:

I'm not feeling my best either -- a nasty spring cold coming on. :sad2:
