Cindy - you can also go onto All Ears Net and get the directions straight to your resort from the airport. We love that option - make sure you have the toll $$.

It always seems like we are short on change for the tolls. We always scramble to put it together, I'd just like to avoid having to empty Walker's pockets at the toll booth. :rotfl2:

But.....my neighbor who just came back late Sunday night has a perfect solution. His sister is driving to the airport and flying home today so he's going to have her count the exact change that I'll need. :cheer2:

Lucky her, she's flying back down on Sunday. I guess that's the benefit of having an actual home in Orlando.

Thanks for the directions, Amy. I'm sure we'll be fine.

And, Julie, thanks too. I'll go print out the allears directions just as a back up in case I misplace the ones my neighbor is putting together for me.

Cindy---I once drove to WDW from the airport all by myself, and you know I don't like driving in big cities, so you'll do just fine. I always just follow the directions on the confirmation from DVC to get to where I want to go. And you're right....once you get on property, it's like driving around your hometown.

Mark......Happy Un-Birthday to You! Catch you tomorrow for the real thing!

Cindy, the signs are really good going to and from the airport so you won't have any problem. I'm pretty sure in Central Florida, all roads lead to the Mouse anyways.

Most of them do, anyway!!

Well, it looks like we're heading to WDW a little early. Chris took Friday off, so we're going to go over to WDW early Friday morning. Then, we'll stay until mid-afternoon and then head over to Lakeland for our college homecoming/founder's day weekend. Then, back to WDW on Saturday afternoon.

Cruise Question

Ok I know the Med will be different, but generally, if your child is under 3 when the cruise begins and then turns 3 on the cruise do you pay the under 3 pricing? Will they then be able to go to the club after they turn 3?

I believe you pay based on the child's age when you board the ship. And from what I understand if the child is within a few weeks of their bday, they can move up to the club or the lab, whatever the case may be. But the child does need to be completely potty trained to go to the club (no help getting dressed or anything.) I'm starting to think that is an impossible feat. Emma will turn 3 about 6 weeks before we sail.

Julie hope the banking problem gets better. :grouphug:
Diana hugs to the girls! Hope they feel better soon! pixiedust: pixiedust:
Julie ,I would love to go on the Med. cruise. I just wouldn't like the price for 5 people. ;) I'll look anyway! :teeth:

Oh Cindy, you'll do fine getting from the airport to WDW. It's actually really easy. There are 2 different ways to go, and to me, I like going the north route, not the south route.

Out of the airport, you're going to follow signs for 528 heading west. There are tolls. Then, 528 will dead-end at I-4. You'll want to take I-4 West toward Tampa. Then, just follow the signs for WDW, it's really easy!

Hm, I'm surprised, usually I-4 is the busier way. And now that all the airport road work is done, I actually find the south quite easy, and have always found 417 a quicker and much quieter ride than I-4.

Your call Cindy. Either way'll get you there :)

I believe it's 2 $1.00 tolls.
Take the South Airport Exit, and follow the road down to 417 West/right turn) Take it all the way to 536 International Drive. Exit and go straight and you're on Epcot Center Drive, just have to take the exit that says OKW/SSR and you're there. You might also want to make a pitstop for any stuff before even arriving, maybe. Here's a map with the exit and where the stores are before you get onto WDW property. :)

This map is a bit old; I believe the Eckerd is now a CVS.

You are correct. We booked a cruise where Madison will turn 3 on the last day. We only had to pay the under 3 price. And as long as they are potty-trained, they can go to the club.

It's probably because I've been in FL for years, before the 417 was even around. So, I'm probably just a creature of habit. Plus, it always seemed more out of the way to go the 417. And, years ago, it was WAY more to take the 417. Now, I'm not so sure.

Thanks, Mark!

I did something a bit different for groceries this trip. With the uncertainly of whether or not Gary's going (can you believe HE still doesn't know  ) I ordered some groceries from gardengrocer.com. Not a lot, just breakfast/snack type stuff. They'll be delivered and left with bell services on Thursday. :cool1:

I'm not sure I'm up to tackling real restaurants every morning with both of the kids. I'm starting to sound whimpy, being I can handle a housefull every day here, it's just that we are on vacation and I'm no longer commando style, but I do like to get out and about in the mornings. So, a bagel on the go will be much easier in the long run.

Cindy - that sounds like a great plan and I can't wait to hear how the groceries work out for you!

The 417 route is the way we take. Very easy and really quick. Everytime we have taken it the traffic has always been light too! Going that way back to the airport is a real breeze too! That's the way we come back from the port when we have been on a cruise. Sorry, I don't remember how much all the tolls were.

Gail, have fun on your gals only trip. Our computer at work hasnt been working and I am on a 24 Weds. so will miss out on you leaving.

So take lots of pics and have fun!

Squid and Coleen

Thanks Squid - we're looking forward to a very fun week :Pinkbounc

Take it easy on those 24's!

Ok, let's try this again

:darth: :yoda: :bday:HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK:bday: :yoda: :darth:
