Well as some may have noticed I'm posting during the middle of the day so that can only mean one thing....I'm home and not at work......It's true.
Nick is sick again. he had a small fever this morning and said his throat was bothering him more (it was bothering him before bed last night) and that he had a headache. I thought it might be strepp so off to the doctor we go. Well at the doctors his temp was 103! The quick trepp test came back negative (they also did the one they send out to be on the safe side
) and his glands were swollen a little and the doc said he had a slight ear infection. :faint:
So no school for him today or tommorrow and we will have to see about friday. My poor guy. He is napping now, so you know he is sick because normally he wants to stay up all night!

Stacy, I hope Nick feels better soon. pixiedust:

103 fever, swollen glands, sore throat. Sure sounds like strep to this Mom. With an ear infection, they have given him an antibiotic so hopefully that will help with the rest of the symptoms. :goodvibes

But hey at least I can say I know someone famous!!!! :lmao:

I'm glad I could provide everyone some entertainment today. I should take my show on the road.....maybe try my skills at the Comedy Warehouse. :lmao: Oh wait, I can't sing....THAT would be a comedy routine all in itself.

Stacy, I'm sorry to hear Nick is sick. It's going around. Hope he feels better soon. :wizard:

Stacy - sorry to hear Nick isn't feeling well. Sending some pixie dust to make him feel better. pixiedust:

You certainly are in rare form today, aren't you. :rotfl2:

Hey, maybe we can do a duo in the singing routine ---- I'm sure we'd kill our audience. :scared: Even Cameron, as a little toddler, knew that I couldn't sing. That's bad when little kids don't like their mothers singing voice. My Mom always told me my kids wouldn't care --- but Cameron definately made his opinion known very early on about my singing ability (or lack of :rotfl2: ).

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and pixie dust for Nick. :grouphug:
He's still running a fever but hopefully that will break soon. The poor boy basically spent the day in my bed (closer to the bathroom, just in case, and because he has a loft bed) snuzzing on and all most of the day. He did have some soup and toast and I kept him hydrated. I always wory the most about hydration, when Nick was a baby he had a viral infection and was dehydrated and spent several days in the hospital. I has something similar when I was a baby and almost died so I get a little crazy over the hydration thing.

Aww I hope Nick feels better soon and it's nothing serious!

Karen - :rotfl2:

Diana - ha ha I see you trying to deflect that biting issue onto me ... I guess that's what happens when I don't check in during the day. I'm going to love your show at the comedy warehouse, it will be fabulous! Hey maybe you can do it on the ship too... :lmao:

Cindy - my mom can't sing either, but we (ok maybe just I did) loved it when she sang to us in the car... I still remember ... all together now "sing, sing a song, make it special ... " :rotfl2:

Sing

:rolleyes1 Sing a song....make it simple....to last your whole life long....
(here's the part I sing real loud!) Don't worry that it's not good enough.....
For anyone else to hear.....just sing....sing a song :rolleyes1

After a couple of chocolate martinis tonight, I thought I would treat you all to a song! :lmao:

la da da di dada da da da di dada :rolleyes1 ( I think that's how it goes)

:drinking1 Where are our martini's?

Um..... I drank em all.

But no fear, I'm paying for it this morning. Julia seems to think because Mr. Sun is awake, she needs to be too. :headache: And we'll see if I survive cardio kickboxing in 2 hours. :crazy2:

OMG - you guys were in rare form last night!!! Thanks, it gave me a little smile this morning!!! :sunny:

Good morning everyone! Went to bed early last night and missed all the fun.

They say we are getting snow today. We'll have to see. Why is it every year when the tulips start coming up that they get buried in snow. :confused3

And of course, today is the day that I have to drive 40 minutes to pick up Cameron's costume for a school project tomorrow. It wouldn't be bad if I could do it at 9 a.m. but they don't open until 11. By 11, the kids want to fall asleep in the van and then be up the rest of the afternoon --- which makes for a miserable day! I could go at 3 when Cameron comes home -- but with the mention of snow and rush hour traffic, I'm thinking that isn't the wisest choice. Although it would be much, much easier because then I could just run in and pick up the costume and leave Cameron in the van with the kids.

Oh, what to do, what to do. I'm fairly certain that if I wait until Cameron comes home, it will snow heavily this afternoon. And, if I go late this AM, to be on the safe side, it won't.

Where is that crystal ball when I need it? :charac2:

Our snow isn't suppose to start until rush hour today. Hopefully, it won't be too bad and will be melted in a few days. Since they are only calling for a few inches, this is the time that we get slammed.

Stacy hope Nick is feeling better today pixiedust:

OMG, more snow? I knew there was a GOOD reason I live in the south. Yup, hate cold weather. Snow is pretty to look at and play in for a short time, but after about an hour I'm ready for summer! ::yes::, Living in the south is good. Did I ever mention I chose to go to college in southern Arizona because of the mild/nearly non-existent winters? ;)

Wanna see some new pictures of Ian? If not, skip the rest of this post. ;)

Ian is wearing his Purim costume in the last 2 pics. He was a Hamentashen - a 3 sided pastry with fruit filling. (Purim was Monday night-Tuedsay.) I was rather disappointed in the photo session because Ian just did not want to smile when the camera was pointed at him. Of course right after we called it quits he was all happy and giggly again.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for Nick. He's feeling a little better today. He is still running a fever and hasn't eaten much but he is taking in the fluids so I'm happy. :thumbsup2

I'm thinking I missed a little party at Dian's house last night! party:

Chocolate Martinis! Yummy Yum Yum! :drinking1

Cute pictures of Ian. Isn't always the way with the little one when you bring them to a professional shoot. No smiles then boom your walking out the door and it's sunshine city and the pearly whites are showing. :teeth:

That is really cute! I like the Hamentashen costume!!

What does your congregation do for Purim? This year our Purim was a musical based on Mamma Mia.
