Oh Cindy - I'm so sorry that you're so sick. The flu is nasty. I ended up getting it about 3 weeks before my wedding. I was SO stressed out!! I had SO much to get done, but I was SO sick. Then, once I was better, Chris got it, just 10 days before the wedding! But, both of us were feeling AWESOME by the time the big day came.

So, don't give up hope, you'll be feeling fine in no time!!!

What a coincidence! My DD, Dana, is interviewing for a Professional Internship at WDW today. Hopefully she'll get someone as great as you Mary to interview her. The interview is at 2:00 WDW time, so prayers and pixie dust for her at that time please! She's currently in the CP working at the food court at ASMo. If she gets the position, she'll be able to work at WDW for 6 months in her field, graphic design.
Good luck to Mary's DD, Dana!!! I hope that she gets the job.

On a side note, mom starts at Disney tomorrow morning! She can't wait!!! I can't wait to hear about all the discounts that she's going to get!!!

Good luck Dana and Amy's Mom! :wizard:

Good Luck to Dana on her interview - I'm sure she'll do great pixiedust:

Amy your mom has to be so excited starting tomorrow - I know I would be!

Quiet day here!

Mary - hope your DD had a good interview.

Just a reminder that tonight is cruise chat. Hope to see some of you there.

Dana called me immediately after she finished her interview. She thought it went really well. They told her that they would contact her in two weeks. We will be with her at WDW in three weeks so we'll either be celebrating or commisserating with her.

I just got back from seeing The Libertine with my sister (who is completely infatuated with Johnny Depp :lovestruc ). Talk about an INTENSE movie! Very well acted, but definitely NOT for children!!!

I love girls'-night-out! :chat:

Good morning everyone! Didn't stay in chat very long last night. I was beat. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! Ours started out nice last night. We took the girls down to St. Pete Beach to see the sunset and collect shells on the beach. The girls had a blast, but my thighs are killing me. I forgot what a workout walking in the sand can be.

We're doing more home improvements/repairs this weekend. It's a never-ending process, but it is fun!

Cindy - I hope that you're on the mend and getting ready for your FL vacation. The weather down here has been absolutely delightful (in the low 80s), so your vacation should be nice as well.

Good morning !!
Sorry I miised chat last night. Jeff & I went shopping after dinner and when we got home I baked a pie to bring nad share at the all day crop I'm going to today so by the time I got on the computer it was after 10pm. :faint:
I did stop in chat but nobody I knew was there (except for Karen who was hosting).
Fun day here today. I have a crop to go to then we are going to a hockey game with Cub Scouts tonight. They are supposed to have fireworks and Sponge Bob at the game tonight and then after the game the kids get to go on the ice!

Cindy I hope you are starting to feel better. It sounds like you guys could use a vacation with all that's been going on in your house the last couple of months. Keeping my fingers crossed that Gary will be done with his project and can go.

I woke up feeling a little better today. I slept most of yesterday while the kids were at school and when they came home. I got up about 6 actually stayed up a couple hours last night watching TV in the lazy boy. It's a step in the right direction. :cheer2:

But......Walker was running a fever during the night. :sad2: No other complaints and motrin brought it down. I don't know if it's the start of flu or whether it's another round of an ear infection. I'm certain we'll figure it out. If the kids are going to be sick, I'd much rather have it happen now than in a couple of weeks when we're on our way to Florida.

And, Gary, just can't afford to get sick with the project he's working on. What he has going for him is he's been working so many hours, it's almost like he doesn't even live here. I think 1 night this week he was home at 5, the rest have been more like 8-8:30ish.

Now it's my turn to go back and see what I've missed on the thread. :scared:

Late to the game but I'll play! :thumbsup2

1) When was your first visit to WDW? I believe it was 1975. We stayed at the Contemporary and were there for an entire week! At the time, it was only the Magic Kingdom so 1 week there was a LONG time.

2) When was your first DVC vacation? Hilton Head, 2001. We bought in Sept. 2000 and had the points to use so we thought we'd try it for someplace different. Little did we know that we'd love HH just as much. We added on the 2nd day were there there.

3) What DVC perks have you used? Member Discount on cash nights especially at Hilton Head. Did you know a Saturday night at HH on points for a 2 bedroom villa is 99 points for the night! So, we've used the member discount several times there. We also love the discount on the AP's.....it's incentive to go more than once during the year. We also have the Disney Dining Experience card because of the AP's -- which has paid for itself many times. :cool1:

4) What is your DVC villa of choice: studio, one bedroom, two bedroom or grand villa? We try for a 1 bedroom at WDW, always a 2 bedroom at HH. We'll be in a studio this month but I'm already missing the washer/dryer.

5) Have you stayed at all the DVC locations? If not, where is the one location you haven't been to that you'd like to visit? We haven't stayed at Vero yet. I'm almost afraid to try it as we might like it too much. ;)

My 19 yo dd actually went to the doctor today, other than for required childhood shots and sports physicals the last time she's been to the doctors for being sick was when she was 18 months old. Poor thing, she has strep and mono. The size of her neck is unbelievable. With 4 kids and three of them college age, this is the first time any of them has ever had strep throat. We've been very lucky with that, of course she isn't too thrilled having it now.

Gail, I hope your DD is starting to feel better! pixiedust:

Circle Jounal news!

I received both Amy and Cheryl's Circle Journals today. Good thing Amy is experience in this because she saved the day and I thought I would share it with the others. Amy had both journals wrapped in bubble wrap and it was a good thing. It is a rainy miserable day here in Chicago and with Mark and I both working the box was left out in the rain all day. Mark said the box was ruined the but albums inside are nice and dry and look fantastic!

Good thing they were not ruined. I wouldn't have thought to bubble wrap them to protect from rain. Yikes, that could have been really bad.

Mary, I hope Dana's interview went well. :goodvibes

I hope my boys want to apply for an internship someday at WDW. I think it's a great experience -- not much pay -- but something that will help them tremendously.

I hope Dana did well. pixiedust: I saw your later post, Mary, that Dana felt the interview went well. Here's good thoughts that you will be celebrating in a couple of weeks. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

That would be today that Amy's mom is starting at Disney. Good luck to her!! pixiedust:

Amy, your so cute -- wondering about her discount. Not if she likes the job or anything, but the discount. ;) I don't suppose your planning on helping her exercise her rights to that discount, are you? :rotfl2:

All caught up. That's wasn't so bad. :woohoo:

I'm thinking it might be a wonderful day to work on Mary's circle journal. I'd like to get it out in the mail to MaryJ before we leave for Florida.

Someone asked about passing them along when we get together at the end of the month. I'm thinking I'm better off mailing Mary's onto MaryJ. With Gary most likely not going, I think I'm going to have my hands full and would hate for something to happen to someone elses book. I will feel much better knowing it was safely sent on it's way to the next person. ::yes::

The biggest drawback of me going with the kids alone is I have to take a stroller. If it's late and Walker falls asleep on the bus, there is no way I'll be able to carry him back to our room. At 50+ pounds, that would be one long walk and my back would definately feel it. So, we're going to have to lug the stroller along. This is going to be interesting -- as not only is Walker kind of big for a stroller but I'm sure he'll be resistant to the idea as well. I'm sure I'll be able to encourage him with the idea once his feet/legs start getting sore. With Gary, Walker tends to hitch a ride on his shoulders quite often and that is definately not an option with me or Cameron.

I know, that's awful, isn't it?!?!? No, I'm really excited for her, because this could possibly be her foot in the door for costuming. She's going to come over tonight to let me know how it goes!!

Cindy, glad to hear you're feeling better! Hopefully, Walker doesn't come down with what you have too! You still have over a week to get everyone well for the trip - just think how good it will feel to get into some warm weather!!!!

Diane (my dd) is actually getting up more through out the day. She did say, she still doesn't feel anywhere near good enough to go to Canada tonight, but she must be feeling somewhat better because she has turned her cell phone back on :rotfl: Her tonsils are still huge, but I think the antibiotics took care of the streph, the mono has her still sleeping 18 hrs a day.
