There is a problem with using Mickey or any of the Disney characters in a design for the shirt due to copyright restrictions. Even if we create a design that looks similar to Mickey Mouse, we technically own the rights to the artwork or drawing, but we do not own the rights to utilize the likeness of Mickey Mouse or any of the gang. Therefore the use of Mickey for sale of merchandise infringes on the rights of Disney.
And to be the bearer of bad news, that means the design with the mouse ears on the beach chairs is out.![]()
Ok bummer - a big bummer but one I guess we have to live with unless we print our own shirts and well geez that's a TON of work.
