2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006 Part 2

I was going to save this for my big t shirt info post, but since it's come up now, I'll address it here, putting it in red because it's pretty important info.

There is a problem with using Mickey or any of the Disney characters in a design for the shirt due to copyright restrictions. Even if we create a design that looks similar to Mickey Mouse, we technically own the rights to the artwork or drawing, but we do not own the rights to utilize the likeness of Mickey Mouse or any of the gang. Therefore the use of Mickey for sale of merchandise infringes on the rights of Disney.

And to be the bearer of bad news, that means the design with the mouse ears on the beach chairs is out.

Ok bummer - a big bummer but one I guess we have to live with unless we print our own shirts and well geez that's a TON of work.

It depends what the photo is taken of. The photo of the ship that we've been working with so far is fine. The photo of the sand sculpture without Mickey is fine because it doesn't say "Disney" or have an image or representation of a Disney copyrighted image. There's a fine line when it comes to copyright infringement, and sticking with a simple graphic like the ship is our best bet. It doesn't haven't to be specifically Mary's picture of the ship, any picture will do.

I should add if the image comes from DVC, it is their work and we will not be able to use it.

Wow, quiet day around here today! We almost fell off of page one!!!

It was a busy day around here for me. I've done 6 loads of laundry and lots of picking up. With 2 little ones, it always seems to be something needs to be picked up. Oh well!!

I'm excited about watching Survivor tonight, so I want to get it all done, so I can indulge (without guilt).

I Really hate that cause that one was sooo cute!!!! Oh well there have been plenty of great ideas... I know the shirts will turn out great...

One more day down here and then we head home. I'm ready to slow down some.My legg is hurting only after a few hours of walking. I hope it's just the sudden change of weather that started my MS.
Mike says I'll have to get a scooter for the cruise. So anyone up to comming up with cool stickers for my ride? I can't have a boring scooter! I'm way too young for a scooter any way.

Tonight is Cruise Chat.
I hope to be in chat tonite - depends on how much I manage to get done today - dd is coming home tomorrow so I'm going over to make sure they have everything in the house they need and clean up a bit so the new family can just relax when they get home.
