The 3.2 works for 8x10. Remember that one can tweek the photos with various types of software and printer quality. Would definately want more than 3MP if printing larger. What we were told in various seminars on underwater photography was that 3MP has a limit of 8x10 for prints.

Definitely a safe bet. Of course there are lots of pieces of software that can do miracles *IF* you know how to use them.

I've seen people take a 1 megapixel image and in 15 minutes have it printing perfect on poster sized paper.

ah, the wonderful wacked-out world of DVC. I shall probably never stop borrowing my own points. If y'all don't use yours you can rent 'em to me.

Check out the incredible shrinking second countdown.

Lynda, good luck with all of this, but I would like to point out one small problem that could be hanging this up. If they run out of regular level handicap rooms and all they have is the deluxe level, then provided they have an adequate level of handicap rooms, they can charge you more in some cases.

Well, yes, but not a year out...This is not tickets for a Stones concert. and they did not offer any other level of room...ALL their HA rooms were deluxe level...

In monorails, I try to give the dog and guest their own car, and if that isn't possible, I will not put them in a car with kids. A lot of my cast members don't understand that and don't do so and I try to educate them as well.

One of the CMs at WDW in January did that for us...I thought it was a little extreme until I saw the activity in the car next in line... Bless your heart! A service dog out there has happy toes because of you...

I got an accessible room at the Tropicana, finally. They confirmed my internet request by snail mail...HA documented...

Now, on to transport....

I didn't say it was likely at all, I just said that it was possible If all their HA rooms are deluxe level, then yes, they'd need to sell them to you at the standard rate (At least till they sold a sufficient # at that rate to make up that fair percentage of required standard HA rooms).

Its less the toes in the monorail and more the pet factor. I know that every service dog owner I've ever met has let me pet the dog, and thank the dog for its hard work (They are still dogs after all, and they need their interaction) but I also know that 99% of kids in the world don't understand that and will just start petting the dog and what not as if it was their own. I don't think there is a single more frustrating thing to service dog owners then trying to fend off a flock of kids, especially a flock of kids trapped in a confined space for 5 minutes and hopped up on all sorts of sugar and pixie dust. Thats why I try to separate out guide dogs into their own car. The only other type of person with disabilities that get this treatment are the autistic children who can't handle being in the large crowds. Outside of those two categories, there is no reason that being disabled should exempt you from the experience of a monorail during a fireworks exit. Its the best way to know how a sardine feels.

Catherine. Welcome :)

I like the signature and the incredible shrinking countdown. Now I just need the days till my DVC is paid off ;)

Been looking for this board for awhile...and look you've been here all the time. Been reading posts for a couple of days and look foward to talking to you in length soon. We are in cabin 6588. Can hardly wait. As Vacation Club members we love hitting DW once a year. Living in San Diego Disneyland is our home. Love the ideas I've seen Door Magnets, Tee Shirts... Wow what great ideas. I'll send our info to Tigfan. See you soon.

Catherine, Are you the "friend" that's coming with Amy? I was going to ask the other day, and life got in the way....

Yippie if its true! Carol & Co and Margaret are also going to be there....

Which Carol are we talking about?

Welcome 2Dizneykids!:wave2: Glad you are joining our group. One more DIS family on deck 6 also ( just stomp on the floor to alert me to any party going on) LOL

Catherine, Amy, and Keith and I went on our first cruises together in Jan 2002. Carol Grundun, her husband Don and sister Barb went too. They are from NYC. I don't think she hangs out here, but I am trying to get her (as well as Margaret) to join in here. They are going on a Western cruise in January so that's taking all their efforts. Hopefully, after January they'll join in here.

Interesting discussions about the digital cameras. I am hoping to get one by the end of this month. I over-research everything so it will probably take longer...

On to the good news: I emailed my TA (Dana at micdan.com - she rocks and I totally recommend her) with the info ImprovGal provided, and guess what??? She was able to add my mom to our cabin!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

So, again, thanks to ImprovGal for posting about her friend.

I was also able to book a nice suite at the Radisson for the night before. I am inviting over a few of my friends from high school (I went to school in Dade County) to hang out with us that Friday. I hope I am not hungover Saturday morning!!

So my checklist is looking like this:

Flight to FL: still waiting for better fares
Rental car: reserved, but still looking out for better fares
Hotel: booked and paid
Cruise: um, NOT paid yet. but we're getting there...
Flight home from long beach: booking on jet blue really soon (just trying to figure out the times)

But then there's still all the shopping that needs to be done. UGH

I told you deck 6 would be taking over the entire boat. There are a ton of us on board as it is now.

Also Disney updated their map online. I think at the 6 month mark we'll probably see the end of further adjustments to the intinerary.

Yes, welcome to 2Dizneykids!!!

Hey this thread is jumpin' tonight!!

Am I the only one watching the playoffs? I am a huge SF Giants fan, but since they didn't make it I am rooting for the Jeter...Er, I mean the Yankees.

Ok, wrong Carol then ;)

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the welcoming comments! This is Don of 2Dizneykids.

We have been on one other 3-night cruise on the Wonder in May of 2003. Had a great time, but left wanting more! Never thought we would be able to get on board a 14-night cruise! REALLY excited about this trip!

Have any other previous cruisers out there taken part in the Wine Tasting? We both are really into wines and want to know people's opinions!

There are so many other folks on deck 6! WOW!

::MickeyMo

I definitely want to do the wine and beer tasting. And I'm DEFINITELY going to bring my own wine on board! LOL!!

Geez Louise folks I go to work for one night and people are coming out of the woodwork!!!!!! Just don't go back!!!

Catherine! I am SO happy :cheer2: you are joining us. Amy must be thrilled. (catherine is a good friend, we've spent a lot of time stuck in the kitchen of Victoria and Albert's together making the walk through the dining room to pee). I promise you will not be bored with Jeff and I around. I plan on packing a suitcase full of books and DVD's as is...

Cameras... I can't wait for the new digital, I'm a photohog and I can't keeping spending so much on developing film. I have a Minolta SLR APS and an anciet Konica SLR which I love both of them. The Konica really doesn't go far, it's to darn old and delicate. I really needs to go in for repair, my dad never took care of it...

Jindy, so happy about your mom going! Is she doing any better? I'll be online tonite if you want to talk.

I blled pinstripes so peter let's not hear it. Congrats to your team, you won it by playing hard (and the umps being blind). Congrats. I hope you can get past the curse, but I don't see it happening.

Since we've taken over Deck 6, how hard do you think it would be to take over the ship?

Jeff and I did the wine tasting this past cruise last week and loved it. Good wine, very informative, but just the basics. I wonder if they will offer more wine seminars (more in depth) on the 14 day? We also bring wine onboard. We have friends who live in Germany who send us incredible German wine. I MIGHT be able to save some until May... awful big MIGHT

I've now been up for 18 hours. Had 2 kids last night want to meet the maker. And a beagle with laryngitis. No really, a laryngitic beagle. It's funny....

sleeppppyyyyy :upsidedow

A belated welcome aboard to the 2DisneyKids, glad to hear of friends and family also able to cruise along with us, that is working out nicely.

We are getting a rather large group.

Jen, you will love digital, just clickaway and dump what you don't like. just have plenty of batteries and storage media available.

Welcome Don! Nice to have you aboard!

Jindy, VERY exciting that you mom gets to go!

I have been really holding back on buying a new digital camera. DH and I REALLY want the digital Canon EOS Rebel. BTW, for Jeff, I found it as low as about $800 online by searching for it on pricegrabber.com. You can even get it for less if you are okay with buying a referbished camera.

Problem is, we have a perfectly working digital. It's an Olympus 3040, 3.1 megapixel I think. It takes good pix, my problem is really the delay between pix and the lack of good action shots - the pictures blur if there is ANY movement in the shot. Before this PC cruise, we will very likely break down and buy the Canon. So Jeff, if you get it, you have to post about your experience with it. Inquiring minds, and all!

Alright, time for me to return to work...have a great day all!

Cheers, Kara
