Thanks! That's just what I did! :) LOL!!! Hopefully all of the good thoughts, wishes and prayers will make the miracle happen! ::yes:: :)

Yipee!!! Page 100 :teeth: ( funny how the little things in life make you happy)

Yes, the purple ribbon is for Sophie. Just breaks my heart everytime I think about that poor little innocent baby. Glad to see you added it Jindy. It's your favorite color too! (secret..that is my favorite also)

Okay, could someone explain the "book club"? I would be willing to give it a shot, but don't have a whole lot of time left over after my two jobs. You'd think that working for Easton Press, I would read all the time. (I spend too much time on the DIS boards)::yes::

Robin

Robin, I was really sick of staring at that picture of us...Will put up a pic of DD by herself...LOL!

I keep reading the articles regarding the fire, and it is very sad. Very tragic. Fires are so deadly and destructive. My grandfather's apartment burned down last month and he and the other tenants were lucky to have escaped without injuries.

I've had an emotionally draining day just thinking about these things. One of my best friends from jr. high (whom I had kept in touch with over years and recently really reconnected with via email and daily IMs) called me this morning at 7am to inform me that her newborn son had died a few days ago. (SIDS) It is the kind of news you never you want to hear, a conversation you never want to have....we cried on the phone together for over an hour...

I can't imagine the pain that Sophie's family must be going through...It really makes you take a step back and good look around.... :( The people on these boards are very nice and caring...

As far as the book club, I think anything goes. It's a fun idea, but I know what you mean about the lack of time. Poor Robin!! Your eyeballs must get so mad at you when you read for *fun* ;) :p

Book Club.... We can do it one of two ways, people can either reccomend a book and we all read it and then talk about it, or we decide a book by voting. I'd rather to the reccomendation method, one time I suggest one, then Jindy, then Robin then whomever. It also helps so that once in awhile you don't have to go to the library or buy a book, you've already got one.

If ya'll want to do the recc' thing, I actually have an easy book to ready, but long, but also incredible. If not to many people have already read it that is.... it's called I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb.

Let me know

And as far as Sophie and little ones being sick and dying... After 5 years as a nurse, I can still remember the first patient I took care of 7 years ago that died. And each one after that. I remember baby Julia who died and her twin sisters that lived. Life isn't fair, it's filled with hardships and dying. That is why we must appreciate what we have and live each day to it's fullest... You never know when that last moment will be. And even when you have an inkling, it still comes to fast and to harshly.... Amanda and Emma (Sophie's mom and sister) are without pain now, and if Sophie does join them, neither will she, the pain will be left down here with those left behind to move on and find solace in memories and knowing that their loved ones are with them...

Jen, that's actually a book I know a lot about, have always wanted to read but never got around to. I'm fine with that choice. Let's see if anyone else wants to read with us....we have to come up with a group name for Yahoo....Do you mind reading it again? (Or reading along?) Robin, are you in? I will prob take a trip to the librabry this weekend. I want to try out my new laptop on the wireless network they have...

Jen, I agree with you! Life is sometimes very unfair. After I talked to my friend this morning I gave DD a great big hug before I left her at school. That conversation made me realize how much I take my little girl for granted. Our time here is borrowed...must make the most of it.

I've made a Yahoo group I think I can change the name and all that.. waiting for Jeff to send me the map from the magnet for a picture.... Reading Circle

YAY! I just signed on using my yahoo id. I hope Robin and others join us.....maybe we can discuss some of these books over tea at Palo next May...LOL!!!

Julebobo, how old is your grandson?? You are going to have so much fun! :Pinkbounc Make sure to go to Fantasyland early in the day. I think the castle might still be covered (they've been painting it), but hopefully by the time you get there it will be perfect!

Our Grandson is 18 months old, and he is a big fan of Roly Poly Olie so we want to take hime to see that show in CA. Our son and DDIL will be with us also. We have only been there once for a short time and didn't see everything. Where do you eat any suggestions. We're staying at the Paradise Pier. Suggestions will help alot...........Thanks, Julebobo

does this work

Why yes it does testingstill test ing

Peter, your testing is starting to scare me and I don't get scared at much.... LOL I myself will continue to subscribe to the Feng Shui approach to my posts..... translation - I don't know where to go to get the info on how to do the cool stuff.... plus like Linda says .... I am one of those guys who never reads directions... rather I would like to deduce it for my self much more of a challenge. LOL OK OK OK I give where are the directions...

Over 100 pages , fear not you folks who have just found this spot.... Just jump in.

Bob and Lee, glad you enjoyed your visit to Wyoming. Yep... there are about five maybe six different Bubba's. Not really a chain yet and don't know if it ever will be.

We are thinking of going to Jellystone next weekend. Have to pack for our Sept trip this weekend and I might have to work Sunday, awaiting the call.

Our Malamute puppy is losing her puppy yap and developing the Malamute howl... this seem to be great sport to her when sirens are heard. Living room is covered with her toy stuffing.

Jen your words about Sophie, memories and life ring true to me. That is why WDW and Disney things mean so much to me. It is my place to escape those things I have had to deal with. Disney is my laughing place. Now if I could get a MD to cut a script so I could write off Disney trips as a med expense... yeah right..... Anyway, like Jin did we need to count our blessings, of family and friends, and relish those things that we oft times take for granted.

Hey we are almost to the 250 day mark......I am filled with anticipation, even with some adventures before then.

Enjoy the weekend.....

I just signed up on the Yahoo reading club. I might not be much help there, buy hey, perhaps this will force me to cut down on my computer time and actually read a little! Yes, Jindy after 8 hours on the computer at work, and then spending 2 hours plus proofing computer edits at night, my poor eyeballs are not happy with me!:earseek:

Jindy, love the new picture! Peter, the colors are fun!

Robin

So Scott, am I to assume that the different Bubba's have different owners?
Hope your weather at Yellowstone is better than ours. Rain rolled in each day at about 5. Even had snow one evening. Sleet and driving rain when we left. By the east entrance!!!!!

Julebobo, there's a lot your little GS will enjoy! I am assuming you're going for Labor Day weekend? Go to Disneyland.com and click on *calendar* then choose the date you are arriving and the amount of days you are staying. A schedule of what is going on at each park (incl. what is down for refurbs) will pop up. This sort of helps you pre-plan. I use it to plan what shows I want to see. (Although I kept forgetting to go see the new Snow White show at Disneyland the last time we were there. ) It helps to pre-plan, esp if you are only there a couple of days. (Which, as long as you wake up early, is enough.)

Obviously at DL you want to take him to Fantasyland (I'm still not sure on the status of the castle) and Toon Town. If any of you want to ride Splash Mountain, I urge you to get fastpass first thing. We ususally do Fantasyland as soon as DL opens, then go straight to Splash for a fast pass, walk back to Indiana Jones to ride that before it gets out of control, then Pirates. Your GS won't be able to ride everything, but his parents can use the parent switch pass so they can enjoy everything. Just ask a CM at any ride. Oh, there's a lso a Pooh Ride for him near Splash.

At CA Adventure (DCA), definitely take him to the Playhouse Disney show, and the Electrical Parade if he is awake. There is also the Aladdin show in the Hyperion theater that your whole family will enjoy. The theater is beautiful and the show has some really cool stuff going on. (Jasmine and Aladdin flying around on the carpet and other surprises.) I think you should check the times and send someone over to stand in line or get fastpasses (I honestly don't remember how it works, I haven't seen the show since last year) so that you are sure not to miss it. The whole Hollywood backlot is very nice. That's where you'll find the Tower of Terror. There is also a Muppet Vision 3-D show I think he'll enjoy. I think the only place to eat there in Hollywood is the hot dog place.

Over in A Bug's Land (DCA) there's the "It's Tough to be a Bug" show - one of my favorites! And there are lots of rides and places for him to get wet in that area. It's definitely geared toward the younger crowd. If it's hot, take advantage of the water play for him. It has been hot this week. Don't know what is in store for next week...Beyond the Bug's land you will find the Mission Tortilla factory and a sort of *food court* on the "wharf". There's mexican food available there. The nachos are good. (I haven't tried anything else). There is a sourdough bakery next door which sells soups and sandwiches and everything smells delicious there! You can also find beer and margaritas there.

If you continue from there to the Paradasie Pier area you can eat at Ariel's Grotto. I took DD there for her bday in July. She liked it. The food is sort of so-so. Nothing to write home about, but not bad either. Kids are served cotton candy for dessert. :) And the meals and prices are fixed. There are lots of characters running around and of course Ariel is there to take pics. Use the priorty seating phone number for this. EDIT: I JUST FOUND A LINK TO THE MENU Ariel's Grotto I do recommend it as DD loved it and the fish and chips were fine for me.

I love to eat at Strips and Dips on the Paradise Pier side. I get the fish and chips with the honey mustard sauce...The dipping sauces are good!!

Other favorite place to eat is is Redd Rocket's Pizza port in Disneyland (Tomorrowland). The prices are decent, and you can choose anything from spaghetti and meatballs to ceasar salad. It's cafeteria style so everyone can eat what they want.

The best place to eat inside DL is the Blue Bayou!!!!! It's our favorite because of the atmosphere. It's sort of *inside* Pirates. And themed like a LA Bayou. You can request to sit along the water if you arrive early enough and made priority seating arrangements (714-781-3463). Lunch is cheaper than dinner. Dinner can be pricey. And the door for Clubb 33 is near by, so you can peak at that as you wait. The mardi gras salad with their house (spicy) mardi gras dressing is good! So is the calamari! The monte cristo is my favorite, but the last time I had it I didn't feel so good afterwards. I think that had more to do with the fact that I'd been living on churros and popcorn the day before than the restaurant, though. LOL! They do have kids meals there.

I also really like the Jazz Kitchen in DTD. Awesome food for adults, and they have a kids menu!!! (thank God, for the kid's menus...)

The Disneyland Hotel has Goofy's Kitchen (character buffet). Your hotel has a Japanese restaurant I've heard is great. But it's geared more for adults, so I've never been there as DD is kind of picky...

I understand there are different owners for each. Most owners seem to have had a tie with the Jackson location.

Weather has been very wet here until today so we might dry out enough to mow the lawn. Would lve to train the dogs to do that chore... what a dreamer I am.

Computer is giving me a break from the stuff Lynn wants me to do, tee hee....

Sounds like Jindy is our DL pro, lots of good info, thanks.

Scott, if you only knew.....I can totally picture myself there as I am writing. That's why I love answering the questions. LOL!!! It's actually fun for me...

I hate that my pass expires on May 11, 2005. Leaves everything up in the air...Not sure if I am going to renew or not. I think someone else on our thread, is it Peter? also has an AP (but for for WDW) that is expiring next year in May. Odd timing, huh???

I am most likely going home after the cruise, but if I were to renew, it would be fun to go with you guys. Especially those of you with little kids. Always like to see the look on their little faces when they get to the parks! :) And grown up little kids, even better!

We are going again in November. I will be sure to let you guys know when I am going for sure, because I want to get home addresses so I can send you guys xmas post cards from there.

It is hot as heck here again today. Going to do housework and then going to hang out at my mom's for the rest of the day. My sister has a newborn (YAY! I am an aunt), and we are going to go stare at her and hug her and smell her babyness today.

Have a good day.
