Thanks guys i dont think it was Ariels , when we went was more up scale , may have Been a Wolf Gang Pucks ?????

We had some Realy Yummy cobb salads shrimp cocktail..

Well fence is up the new puppies can Roam the 11 week old one can fit in between the pickets lol only for a couple of week then she will be to big.... spent the last 3 nights installling

did any body notice my Counter i have less than 100 day til i cruise.. J & J Should be right behind us...

Actually it used to be Wolfgang Puck's Avalon Cove - it's now Ariels Grotto. Same location - slightly different atmosphere.

Now instead of upscale dining, shrimp cocktail and relaxing on the deck... some of the main staples are chicken strips and burgers and you are treated to a parade of all the kids in the restaurant banging on their sand pails. ;)

A lot of the early complaints about DCA had to do with it not being very kid-friendly so...
Good bye Wolfgang :wave2: Hello Ariel

TT is great, I must admit I was not too excited about doing the drop thing, but after the first time it was can we go again huh, huh, huh, can we ......

I think I read somewhere there are some subtile difference between the CA and FL TT, will be interesting to check these out.

The only thing about our cruise that bums me out is that it ends on a holiday. This makes me think DL will be pretty crowded. Is that pretty typical for the CA parks??? Might have to senak out for a week day visit during the early part of 2005. We will see.

Well I honked the horn in AZ, CO, and Cheyenne, WY as I drove through. Next week is Cody WY.

Jeff great job on the cruise site. It is great.

We are one of the unassigned folks on Deck 7, will see how that works out.

One night camping trip with the pups, they love camping.

Sorry I missed the honk, Scott! I was on I-25 several times....., but not the right times, evidently, no one was honking!!! ;-)

I "only" worked 62 1/2 hours last week.....now for a nice 2 day down time....only have a LOT of catching up to do!

Congrats everyone on your new puppies!!! We got our 2nd through a rescue group, Small Paws Rescue, in March. We drove to KS in Nov and got a 10yo who'd been making babies for 9 years. She'd been out of the puppy mill for about 8 months before we got her. She is so gentle, and happy to be a real dog. She only freaks if you try to pick her up. She will allow you to pick her up to put her in the back of the truck, but any other time, forget it! She's missing all but a few front teeth, as they were so rotten from not being cared for.

Then, in March, we got a 7 week old....She flew in the cabin, (had her own seat!!) from Tulsa to Ft Worth to Denver. man, has the energy level at our house gone through the roof!!

Anyway, good Saturday morning, everyone!! Kelli

Scott H. we also are on Deck Seven , We have a very large Verandah the Secret one.... as we booked an inside Cabin...
that is were u will find us...

Thanks AZ Pirates!! My daughter has already informed me that the VERY FIRST THING she wants to do is ride TOT!! LOL! I can't wait.

You are correct, it was "Wolfgang Puck's Avalon Cove". Then they got rid of the association with Wolfgang Puck and it just remained "Alavon Cove". During that time - the rumor was that service and food was very sketchy. I've heard that since it became Ariel's Grotto - it's pretty decent and rather fun. I guess I'll find out for myself soon enough!

I just got an interesting call from the Disneyland Resort this morning. Apparently there will be 2 fireworks shows on the 4th of July and the Fantasmic! times have been changed. I am thinking the park is going to be VERY crowded!!!! :earseek: I've never heard of them doing 2 fireworks shows in one night!!!! I can't wait! :Pinkbounc

Yes, Scott H, the parks can be very crowded during holiday weekends. Mainly because Premium APs (with no blackout dates) are so cheap and it seems everyone in Southern California has one. We tend to go during the busiest holidays of the year so that I don't have to take time off from work. So we go on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and this year probably Labor Day. If you are an early riser and you are in the park at 8am and go straight to the attractions you want to ride and fastpass the rest - the crowds aren't so much of a problem. Now, if you're group doesn't get started till after 10 or 11am - then there will be a lot of waiting.... ::yes::

Scott~So that is all the honking I heard in CO!:teeth: Now I know it was you!

Thanks for thinking of us as you were passing thorugh!

Vicki

You all are most welcome for my sounding of the klaxon as I passed through your neck of the woods.

Jindy, thanks for the tip. We are early people, (ok we are at the entrance about 45 min early) and will be there early and do the fast pass thing etc. I will be calling tomorrow to get us a reservation at Grand CA for after the cruise. Again we will be doing on DVC points.

Still trying to get a reservation with our DVC points for the cruise. The folks at MS are now on a first name basis.

Peter and Jenn now I know where to find you guys at. That was where we did the Boons Farm tasting party. Lynn is wearing her Western Inaugural T-shirt today. That was a great trip. But alas we have many more to come.

Well I have been lurking on this thread since the first day it started and finally decided to jump on in.

I will be travelling with my mom and dad and this will be our third cruise. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

There are a few folks I already know and look forward to meeting the rest!!!

And it looks that not only will Deck 6 be filled with DIS'ers but Dec 6 Aft will be overflowing. We are in Cabin 6630! (I feel sorry for those around us LOL)

I will send along my info to Jeff!

Debbie

Welcome Aboard Debbie!

Thanks for the tip about the 2 fireworks shows on the 4th Jindy!
We have decided to go on the 4th and 6th instead of the 5th.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Jeff and I have returned from Key West!
What a wonderful place. If you have a chance to go, go. You really can let your hair down and relax. We had good food, good drinks and a great time... now back to reality..

Hi all! Great to see some new cruisers!

Just got back from Boise for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Took some family pics, so I will send over to Jeff so you have a pic of us.

Best thing about the trip......they have not closed the Disney Store in the mall. I was quite surprised. Spent over a $100 on the first trip and then made a second trip back and spent more! Got some great things for grandkids. Now I am having Disney Store withdrawals.

Got work to catch up on. Jeff, I'll try to get the email over to you in the next day or two with our pics.

Linda

:bounce:

Vicki, I did get your last PM!! I am actually going to sit down tonight to go thru my emails and answer all PMs (that includes you, ROBIN!!!! ) I also still have to send Danica some more info....

I had a terrible migraine later on Sunday night and never logged back into my computer.... But I'll get online when I get home tonight.

Robin

Robin and fellow cruisers~We have been on this pirate ship cruise. It was during Feb. and the whales were migrating. We sailed along side several huge whales. We had a great time and I think that regardless of what time of year it would be fun. Kids loved it because the crew members are dressed and act like pirates.

I have been lurking in the main cruiseline forum for a while, but just figured out the Meet forum.

I am Charlene Wacenske and I will be cruising with my significant other Andy Freeman. We are from San Jose CA. We are going to be in room 6092.

We will also cruising with my entire family on the 7/2 cruise. We will have three rooms on that trip.

I have emailed Jeff my info (Jeff my id is charwac1 not charwac)

We look forward to "meeting" everyone online and then in person in May.

Charlene
