Opps sorry Lynn....there may be one closer to you that just doesn't advertise in Creating Keepsakes. Even I wouldn't drive 7 hours to visit a scrapbook store!!!! I have been known to plan an entire trip to WDW around a scrapbook expo that was taking place in Orlando in 2001 but hey..that's different!!!!!

Google...No, I'm looking in the Store Directory in the back of my Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Magazine. It lists all the scrapbook stores (that want to pay to be listed) by state (or in our case Country).

Good luck with your surgery & learning those crutches.....

Will take the herd for a Fathers Day walk for sure, when Lynn gets up. No presents from them just their undying love. That is worth it for sure. I think I will make us pancakes for breakfast this morning.

Elaine, There is a Scrap Booking store here in Jackson, and Lynn says their process are on par with one of the web sites you mentioned.

Kelli, I should have sent you my old crutches. Best of luck with the surgery. See if they will let ya watch. I watched mine and it was pretty cool.

Yes, I've been teaching off and on for about 4 years since I moved to Orlando. I took classes for 3 years before that in Utah, but there are so few people here that know how to scrap that friends started asking me to teach, then they told their friends, and so on. I do it at home mostly or at the church. It's really fun.

A really good website to learn at is www.creatingkeepsakes.com and also www.simplescrapbooks.com they are sites for the two best scrapbook national magazines and both have chat boards where you can ask all the questions you want to. Just remember that what's important is that these are your memories, and what you put on the pages is supposed to help you tell the story of the trip, not live up to anyone else's idea of what a good page is. You'll be fine, believe me! Now, as for the 'less expensive than pins' it's up to you, really. You can bankrupt yourself with scrapping supplies, or you can do simple, elegant pages without all the extra doodads and it's not too expensive. The doodads are fun, believe me, but they aren't essential.

Here's a couple of words we use and the definitions:

LO- layout, or 2 pages seen together when you open a scrapbook, also can be one page alone

SB, scrapbook

crop- a get-together where everyone works on their own pages, also a verb, meaning to work on your pages.

There is a scrapbook show on the DIY network. I don't get that, so I haven't seen it, and it's killing me! There's also a day every month where QVC has scrapbooking all day, but that can be expensive! At least you can see how some products are used, that's my excuse anyway...
