chips or crisps as we call them are geting very inventive with their flavours..some recent ones include: curry, worcester sauce, roast beef dinner, lamb and mint.

the trouble is they tend to be high in salt and fats..still there is nothing better to snack on when you are having a pint of beer in the local pub :drinking1

Hi Kids, Well I a, weaning my self off the percocet and valium and doing pretty well. I was a little worse than the MRI showed. The last few days are a blur. Seems like Tuesday to me. Really limited to the left hand typing. Lynn has been great and kinda kept me up on what has been happening here.

Sounds like some rain may be heading to the SW.

I am doing as the doc ordered. Getting better every day. Sounds like things will go slow but should get back 50 to 70 % use.

The photo puzzle, or whatever the name I sounds like fun.

Getting sleepy……

Glad to see you back, Scott! Even if it IS part time! Rest up and enjoy the pampering!! What do the dogs think of you laying around all day?!? :confused3

Are you saying you'll only get to 50-70% usage?!?! Not good! :guilty:

and another one...that I can't remember, but don't like very much, so I usually erase it. (Done by some authors that write WDW books.)

Celeste, Steve, Anybody! Okay! Help bring me out of the stone ages ;) How does one subscribe to these broadcasts... is there a fee... do you donwload these to the ipods... thanks! Neither Joe nor I have one mind you, but, all this stuff sure sounds interesting!

Scott, GLAD to see you left hand typing. :thumbsup2 Thanks to Lynn for keeping you up to date. Keep following the doctor's orders. Im sure your dogs sense you've been through something major, and probably don't fully understand all of it.:dog2:

Safe Happy travels to Leslie + Joe + Elaine + Margaret! :boat: Have fun and don't forget to bring back information on the new sailings announcement on the 21st!

HAPPY WEEKEND!!! :flower1:

We're off with the family to see the Harlem Globetrotters tonight! Should be a fun time!

Good to see you online Scott!
Sending heal up quickly wishes your way.
:wizard:

You're right about the rain - finally!

I think we were up to over 140 days with no measurable rainfall here in the Valley of the Sun. Not good.

We're getting pelted right now.
Problem is the ground is so hard and dry we've got quite the waterfall coming down the hill out back. We'll have to keep an eye on that.

Celeste, glad you're done with nights for awhile!

I've got the same 2 cabins we had on the repo booked on an Oct. DCL and would love to be able to cruise then - just not sure if it will work out schedule wise or not. I hope so - but have not gotten involved in a meet thread yet just in case.

No Disney trips planned right now either - looks like the closest we'll get for awhile is seeing the Princesses on ice later this month.

Download I-Tunes off of the internet- no cost. Once you have the program on your computer, you will need to go to the "music store"- then you will have to search the podcast section- then you put disney into the search box on that page and you will be able to select what you want. You can listen to them on your computer or burn them to disk and listen to them in your car or transfer them to an MP3 player. It's really very easy and all free. Some of the podcasts also have videocasts- so you can watch some short videos.

I forgot to mention that I also subscribe to the podcasts from WDW and DL....DCL should get on the boat :rotfl2: and do a podcast too.

BTW- It helps if you have a fast connection....

Please feel free to PM if anyone has questions or needs assistance.

I feel much better after some sleep and not being at work anymore. Man- who knew you could be so bored. Two stable patients and I was going crazy....this is why I am not a nurse on a regular medical floor. I have ADD when it comes to work and like to be busy or I get BORED. We were talking about the internet last night and wondering what people did who worked nights before that. Long live the URL

Ahh, across the pond. Very lovely in March. My parents lived in Harlow for a few years and just moved back to the states in December- I loved flying to the UK in March. Warm there, cold here and GREAT airfare! I love the grocery stores there: Marks and Spencers and right now in my sleep deprived state- I can't remember the name of the other one- maybe Tesco?
QUOTE]

Hey Celeste & Pappy...speaking of the UK...we are headed over to Ireland and London in exactly 10 days with my parents to visit our oldest son, Sean, who is spending the semester drinking, uh, I mean, studying in London. I hope the weather warms up there! I am hoping for some of the weather you referred to, Celeste! But, from what Sean has been telling us, it has been pretty chilly!

Celeste,

Since you're bored, I'm sending you an email...

at the risk of sounding really out of the loop, what's a podcast?

Renae

Scott,

I'm so happy you're feeling better! Will you really only get to 70% use of your arm? Is that before PT or after? I'm going to send you some special pixie dust and get that percentage up! You can't do all the fun things you do without your arm....

take care
Renae

Yes that is from the canal! I ran down stairs in the second last lock and got that picture.

Glad you liked the video. Yes hope to do that again sometime

Debbie,

That was so cool!!!! Thanks for sharing it with everybody!!!

Hey guys, can I get some advice for this Alaska cruise? I want to get wonderful wildlife pictures, and I have a pretty good camera (5mp and 4x optical zoom) but I wonder if I need a telephoto lens to get good shots of the whales, ect. They have to at least try to stay 100 yards away from them, so what do you think? Do I have a good enough excuse to go get a long lens? I'm going to do an excursion with a professional photo safari guide, who will help us get the best pics we can, but no skill can give me great shots if the animals are too far away... any ideas?

thanks,
Renae
