I'm calling it a night too. I'm meeting friends at MK in the morning early, so bedtime is sooner than usual... All you late night posters, If I show up in a few hours, tell me I"m dreaming and to get back to bed! I'll thank you for it in the morning...

night,
Renae

So here's my Thursday night story. Amy and I were sitting in the livingroom waiting for Survivor to start when all of a sudden, the doorbell rang! UPS does sometimes come pretty late.

We both looked at each other briefly and then leapt to our feet :Pinkbounc :bounce: and ran for the door!

False cruise doc alarm. :sad2:

There will be no dancing for us tonight!

Maybe tomorrow!

Hi guys!

Just got back from getting James' new car! He was shocked to say the least! First, I made him take me to Honda to test drive an Odyssey mini van. Then told him I wanted to test drive the Town & country at Chrysler.

So we pull up, and there is his car (black 300 Limited) with a HUGE red and gold bow on the roof! He thinks nothing of it, parks and we get out. A salesman comes over, greets us, and asks what he can help with. I explain that my husband THINKS we're there to test drive a mini van, but really we're there to pick up THAT car right there....

James just looked at me in disbelief for a minute or two. And kept saying "yeah, right"

When my parents came out from the dealership and said surprise! And when the salesmen started clapping and saying congratulations, it started to sink in.

This was the MOST flexible, easy going car purchase I have ever done! The fleet manager had all paperwork done, highlighted the signature areas, and told us we could take the car AND paperwork home, and send it in ... along with the check. He wasn't even going to make us do it there! Amazing!

Needless to say, we went ahead and did it all there... primarily since I forgot the check at home in my nervousness! :rotfl:

So that is my car story of the day...

And as for Beagle Bell - Thank you guys for all the words of support. :grouphug: You don't know how much it means to me! Her bloodwork came back negative so we're in a waiting period to see if it'll clear up with medication or ??? Fed her some oatmeal today and that seemed to make her happy! :flower:

OK, off to Survivor and then bed. Whew, it was a busy day!

Night!
Kendra

Girl! I do NOT believe in depriving one's self. I'll just sew your lips up afterwards. YAYA! ... or how's about KrazyGlue... humm. suggestions, anyone? anyone?

And I think it's an excellent idea, not the lip sewing, the Palo single girls night out. (add me to your list...do you actually think I'd let you do this without me???)

:rotfl2: Margaret, funny but so true! Don't think I haven't thought of having my jaw wired shut.....but krazyglue! NO WAY Not that I would ever do it, but 2 people in my office recently went the surgery route, and the weight just melted off them! Amazing! They look fabulous, but I'd never go for it given the risks. (maybe krazyglue might be the answer :rotfl: )

I will add you definately. I'll PM you later so we all can decide on which night.

How come nobody does the "No document dance with me?" I am really disappointed that nobody knew the song for today.....evidentally I was having more fun in the 80s than you ALL were.

I wonder if my neighbors are wondering why I continually open my front door and look around?

Celeste, I was wondering the exact same thing this entire week. Right before I go upstairs to bed, I open the door and look around longingly for my beloved docs! :rotfl:

Look at the post that I found on one of the other boards.

Panama Canal Discounts Available
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I heard that this past Friday, DCL opened up Cast and Florida Resident discounts on the cross-over cruise in May. Apparently there were about 100 cancellations and they need to get those rooms booked.

As I understood it, there are only inside cabins available (of course) but you could get the 14 day cruise for a little as $1300 per person. Not bad for less than $100 per day.

I thought it's really strange that there seems to be cabins now available from category 4 through 12 (except I think for cat 5). I know its a long shot but maybe if there are still some cabins available when we sail, there might be a possibility of upgrading at discounted rates. Well, I can dream, can't I? :teeth:

Kendra, Pretty cool about your present for James.

Glad to hear the pup is getting along.

Ya gotta tattoo it backwards for it to work in a mirror, then it would work. Kinda like the front of an Ambulance.

Ohhhh yeah... Well, I'm not real sure Kelli can manage the backwards thing, that's a little advanced. I've just forgotten more than I'll ever remember. Kelli, well, she'll need to practice. 7624. .. oh never mind. I'll just get her to do it forwards and carry a second mirror with me... That's it, now if I can only remember that...:headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: .

  Hellooo Panama Canal Cruisers!!

You all are making it nearly impossible to lurk these days...there are SO many posts and everyone seems to be having so much fun!
I just wish I could keep up! :flower:

No docs here in AZ yet (at least not for us). We had a USPS signature form in the door when we got home but alas, it was for DH's name badge from his Disneyland Advisory Council stint this past year instead. Still exciting, but not docs. :sad2:

A bit about us.... I am an Account Manager for one of the big 3 electronic distributors. As a former TDS Manager for almost 10 years, electronics are not nearly as exciting. DH is a manager for a large bank. He loves his job.

We've been together for 15 years, married for 6 (on May 1st). No human kids - but 4 kitties and a big black chow-chow named Mojo. They keep us busy enough.

We love to travel...lots of trips to Disneyland, WDW...we go to New Orleans every year for Halloween...we love to go to Vegas. Our next trip is to New York in December and then we are doing the Tokyo Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland tour next spring/summer.

DH is a GINORMOUS Star Wars fan and is a bit pouty that he will be missing the premiere of Revenge of the Sith. I think he is still holding out hope that they might surprise us with it on the 19th.

We are SO looking forward othe cruise. It just can't come soon enough!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hope everyone is doing well!! It's just a few days until we'll be cruising!!

  Leslie

Leslie,

Welcome!! :flower: :flower:

Thanks for joining us! As you said, we are having a lot of fun!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I can't tell you how many times a day, I catch myself laughing out loud. It is so much fun! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm thinking about going in with the girls at Palo if we're allowed to laugh too loudly and annoy the couples.

Have you seen the preview for The Pacifier where Vin Diesel shows up at the door and the girls SCREAMS in terror?

I kind of imagine that's what the new people do.

"Hi, I'm Leslie--" (Leslie)
"AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" (newpeople running away)
"Was it the pins, or something I said?" (Leslie, who then downs a <insert adult beverage here> and moves on to the next newbie) :drinking1
"Got pins?!?!?" (Leslie)

Very funny! :) I'm glad to see this group has a healthy sense of humor!

Healthy Pups
Cotomom, glad to hear Bells tests came back negative. Murphy survived her tail amputation. She's seems to be a bit uncomfortable, but doing okay.

Doc Watch 2005
No deliveries today. I still insist Kevin is going. ::yes::

Lunch menus
Whomever found out the daily lunch menus, thank you! I was a bit bummed that the Italian menu was the day we are going to Palo Brunch. Then I was reminded that Palo serves Italian food. DUH. Sometimes I am a bit slow on the uptake.

hi..just back from a three week course with no computer....things are starting to move and we await our documents in the uk...we ve just had a phone call from the DVC..( transatlantic rates!!!!).. as we have reservations for Disneyland Hotel after the cruise with DVC points..and as the hotel is now fully booked they are reducing the points price for the 5 night and giving us back ****40**** points..
good or what...has any one else had a phone call along similar lines?

Pappy, I'm confused. The hotel is sold out and they are reducing your points? Did they change where you are staying or what room you had wanted? How weird is that! We are staying at the Grand Californian. I doubt it will apply to us, but would love to know the circumstances of getting points back.

Packing
I'm not sure I'm ever going to figure out how much and what to pack. We are renting tuxedos. Can I rent the rest of my wardrobe? :scratchin This would open up room for the other accessories -- camera, pins, toiletries, snacks, wine, shoes, beverages.

Sailaway Tattoos
Now that is a unique gift!

Until tomorrow, good night all.

Randall
