Okay, so I don’t plan my vacation to the detail as most of you, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to be prepared. So I decided the girls would feel like part of the DIS family if they had the official foot wear.

I went to Wal-Mart this afternoon, and I had no idea if I should be looking near swimwear or footwear . I asked an employee and she directed me to the Shoes Department. Wow! Big Shoe Department and it seemed 75% of it was sandals and flip-flops . So I asked the shoe department employee lady who spoke maybe five words of English;

“Where are the blinkie flippie floppie thingies?”..., and I got back a classic deer-in-the-headlights look.

Oookay! “Do you have flip-flops with lights?”, “Yaes, sleppers har with nihtwear”.

Oookay! “Thank-you, I’ll just look around here for awhile”.

So now I’m looking down rows and rows (think warehouse in Indiana Jones) of shoes, flip-flops, and sandals, and none of them are blinking . I started reading boxes for “Blinkie Flippie Floppie Thingies” , but no luck. The sales lady saw me hunting and must have realized we had a communication problem. She took that extra step in positive customer service and returned with one of her associates to see if she could assist and soon I was in front of scores of Blinkie Flippie Floppie Thingies (not actually blinking, and completely miss-labeled).

So now we’ll fit in a little more with our friends of the DIS family onboard even though we will not have DIS tattoos or have our bodies painted lime green (which I think is where this group is heading if there was anymore time to plan things before the cruise).

BRAVO BRUCE!!! I'm SO proud of you! Now you know.. you could have slipped over to the craft department right down the aisle and picked up that lime green body paint!!
DIS Tattoos... don't we have that planned for Acapulco??

BRUCE... you are a trooper! That's really true love! I loved reading about your Wallmart adventure! i think all of us went through the same thing. I llined all the different ones up on the floor and then picked them up and dropped them on the ground. DH came by after wandering through the store, saw what I was doing, and just shook his head, smiled, and walked away to go buy a coke at the snack bar (in a collectable cup )

KEN... you are too funny with your get the wet suit wet advice. I'm glad you finally told Leslie NOT to try this!

Attire, = There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate(1)tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food = There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.

Entertainment = A new production show to be offered. Called " Twice Charmed ". Cinderella themed Stage Show.

Donald Ducky Williams, will be onboard and we will recieve 2 Lithographs
1 for going on the cruise and one for going thru the canal.
This has been said on other cruises by DDW .

Canal Party = All seas travel, is hosting a party in the Roy Suite the day of the Canal crossing . for its customers. You can do better than that..

Return Cruisers Gift = It is rumored that there is a new gift not a beach towel as on past Cruise's.

Oh well.. I'll probably never make dinner anyway since I'll be standing in line for PINS!! Looks like it's Topsiders or Plutos for me everynight! At least I won't have to worry about fitting into the formal stuff....

Big Congrats!!!! Wow We could have a NON-DOC Celebration! As for your other idea....
Oh I know, we can do a *Bambi Walk* in honor of the new Bambi release (teehee) ... Get to a room, down a drink...we could do it by room # numerically, from lowest to highest... Go to the next room, down another drink... Hey there Bill, Folks would be getting pretty ripe by the time they get to your place.

Bambi Walk FYI: It's the dark, funky atmosphere that inspired Stuff Magazine's March issue... to name Louisville's Bambi Bar... one of the 20 best dives in America. The bar was already famous locally for its periodic Bambi Walk -- a pub crawl down Bardstown Road. And for its signature cuisine, the massive Bambi Burger. Poor Bambi...he got it again.

Reference ReliefBands, I have herd of only very positive results. One person reported putting it on after they were sea sick and were non symptomatic in 15 min. Leslie, too funny about the great wet suit squeeze. They should fit sung but from what you are saying not that snug, you need to be able to take a breath. Yes they are harder to put on wet, Ken is not kidding about that.

Got an email about our submission to the Happiest Faces on Earth, saying they will advise during the first part of May if ours was used.

Got our pirate outfits so we are ready swash buckle.

SCUBA class tomorrow night, two on Sat, and one on Sunday. All pool sessions. This should be it for classes until we return from the trip.

Okay.. sorry... due to the wetsuit drama... I wasn't paying attention... is there something going on with the dinner linking? Are we no longer linked? We are on late seating so I thought we were set already... not so??
Oh well.. I'll probably never make dinner anyway since I'll be standing in line for PINS!! Looks like it's Topsiders or Plutos for me everynight! At least I won't have to worry about fitting into the formal stuff....

I read on the board that some people called DCL and found out they were not linked even though they sent their information to DVC Minnie. I had sent in my infomration so I decided to call DCL tonight and was informed that we are not linked with any other diners for dinner. He asked me who I was supposed to be linked with and I advised that I didn't know because it was supposed to be group linked together. He apologized and said that I wasn't linked.

You might want to call DCL and see if you are linked.

Come to think of it...I haven't seen DVC Minnie post in a while.

I heard that this past Friday, DCL opened up Cast and Florida Resident discounts on the cross-over cruise in May. Apparently there were about 100 cancellations and they need to get those rooms booked.

As I understood it, there are only inside cabins available (of course) but you could get the 14 day cruise for a little as $1300 per person. Not bad for less than $100 per day.
