When we travel through the canal from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific, we will be going South EAST.

That's right, Bruce. We were talking about that yesterday. My step son was here and he remembered that when he went thru the Canal a couple of years ago. Very interesting.

You could shorten the song if you drink the small Fosters.

Darn it no bubbly drinks for me. Have to let the Gin and Tonic go flat

Clear out your mail box. It won't let me send you a message, because it is full. I am already at your table. :cool1:

Now....say great Disney CM.................

I just got off the phone with Alan, who I spent 20 minutes on the phone with and can I say he is the most awesome CM I have EVER talked to.....

Here's what I got:

The dates that we have been given for formal and semi-formal are correct at the present time.....however they are TENTATIVE because they are awaiting the final themeing info which is coming down next week from the department handling that stuff. He offered to CALL ME..................... yes................. CALL ME!!! when he is given that info next week!!!

So, since he was so helpful, I started asking more questions.....here goes:

1. Movies....only showing what is now currently on the ships. He says he should have an updated list soon. I told him to tell those "big wigs" to request STAR WARS and for DCL to pay to get it. He laughed.

2. Pirates of the Carribean...I asked him to pass along the word that our narly group of pirates pirate: would like a midnight showing of Pirates of the Carribean on pirate night so we can go after the deck party in our pirate gear to the movie. He thought that was a great idea. We'll see where that goes. Worse case scenario, I'll hook up with the right person once on the ship and start by giving them one of the "coveted" Kingdom to Kingdom pins (see...I bought extra for bribery purposes!)

3. Palo's-if you are interested in the brunch and would like to book your own reservation (sorry, the private dining room group is full), we will be in Palo's on Sat. May 21 at 10:30 a.m. I will PM reminders to those 14 that are on the list. However, please join us. We had additional groups from Disboards on the Christmas Cruise that made their own ressie and were in at the same time. It was alot of fun.

4. No release on the info yet of any "special performers" for this cruise. They are still holding back some staterooms for those people or guests, but the info hasn't been released. I specifically asked for special entertainment (and said is there entertainment booked liked Christy Romano who was on the Christmas Cruise?) and they are still waiting on that also. Guess those people upstairs need to get their act together. I will ask him next week when I talk to him.

5. Yes, Ducky Williams still on our cruise! YEAH!!!!

Life is good, not only do I have his name, I have his extension number!!!!!!

Great way to start a Friday! Three weeks from today, about right now, we are getting on that plane headed to Scott and Lynn's for the pre-cruise party!!!

Yeah, it would be ROOT BEER for me...... :confused3

Ron and I would be interested in linking dining reservations with someone. We had pm'd to be in the large group linked, but it seems that didn't happen. We are in the late dining group. Please pm me if anyone is interested. I'd be happy to make the call to DCL.

Ok, I know I am going to show my ignorance here but who is Ducky Williams and why am I to be excited he is on our cruise? I feel so out of touch, I don't even know who Christy Romano is.
Still no Docs here, thanks for all that info Linda, they should have had this group put the entertainment and schedules together, could have had it done a year ago :rotfl:
TIA, Christine

Linda, Great info, Thanks,

We will be awaiting your arrival at SSR.

Here's a link to check him out: http://members.fortunecity.com/panduitest/don.htm

Also, here's a little more info:

Our all-time favorite was the speaker, who was Don "Ducky" Williams on our cruise. Don paints the originals for all the marketing art for WDW. You have probably seen his work on the Disney billboards in Orlando or on the park info. brochures. He was so interesting that we attended both of his talks, and he drew me a picture of Figment that is now my favorite Disney Cruise souvenir.

Okay, you can do a google search and type in Don "Ducky" Williams and there are numerous things about him. His story is incredible and he is one of the nicest guys I've met. He collects Disney stuff too! (But I'm sure his collection includes rare expensive pieces, unlike mine!)

According to Ducky from the 10 day Christmas Cruise, we will each be receiving 2 special lithos that he has created for the Eastbound to Westbound cruise.

UPDATED REMINDER!!!
Don't forget to go to your local office supply store or post office and pick up a round mailing tube to roll up your lithos after he autographs them on the cruise. I stressed out the whole time coming home from the Christmas Cruise worried that my litho would get a ding or a dent in it. The minute we got home, I got it framed and it is now proudly sitting against my bedroom wall on the floor (hey....it's safe..........and it's only been 4 months!) I did the most important thing.............got it framed!!!

He draws Alot of the Disney Characters and does alot of all the visible posters and such that you see in the parks and such. He designed the ceritificates/littos we will receive on the cruise and just a whole bunch of other stuff. He talked at a local NFFC meeting here last year talked for 2 hours and drew the whole time. When he was done he signed them all and gave them out to everyone in attendance.

Just a super guy with great stories. He told us at that time he would get on the ship in Acapluco and continue to LA and then on to the first 7 day cruise. But make sure to definitely see his presentation you will really love it.
