Hi- My name is Celeste. My husband and six year old son will be on the May 14 cruise. We are in cabin 7616. I am new to this site- and honestly I find the layout confusing! Anyone who would be willing to help out- I would appreciate it.

I have been lurking on the cruiseforless site and was referred here.

I thougt somone had said there was a place where you could register with your cabin number?

Here is a little info about me and my family.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary while on board.
I will be studying while on board- grad school
I grew up in Utah. My husband grew up in NY.
We moved to Illinois two years ago from Mass.

Thanks for any 411.
Celeste :goodvibes

Welcome Aboard
have found this site really useful as I am sure you will.
Look forward to meeting your family on Board.

Ashley, What a wonderful suprise for your son. He must have been so excited.

Sandra, Everytime someone mentions shorts in the dining room, it makes me think of the couple at the table next to us a couple of cruises ago. I think they must have been bombed every evening by dinner time. One night the man came in his boxers! Yes, it is true! Complete with dress shirt, tie and sports coat. His wife's hair looked like it had been done up in a blender, and she had lipstick ALL over her face! They kept us entertained every night. I think your son will just fine in shorts, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

He was as he didnt know where we were going until we got there, and saw the car in the window of the dealers, with the balloons.Thinking about ir now I should have asked the dealer to find Mickey Balloons!!

About dining in the words of John Macenroe "You Cant be serious".

Nothing outrageous happened when we have been on DCL before

I have a picture of an accessible batwing version of the PT cruiser with a ramp that slid out from the driver side for loading power mobility equipment...THAT looked HOT!....but, alas, still a gutless 40's knockoff..... :flower:

would have killed for one once, even test drove one...didn't fit...uncomfortable...got the Del Sol...a car I now need a gravity assist and strong knees to get out of... scrunch... This time my choice was between a Scion or an Element.......so, I have a quirky sense of design....My house, for instance....The neighbors got an attorney to try and prevent me from finishing it....I designed it, they hate it. :umbrella:

Lynda,

I thought we only have the neighbors from H*#&... They actually built 8 feet onto our property and then we had to spend 5K dollars to get them off. This was one of the minor things that they have done... Stand your ground girl !!!

Bye, Kim

But - are you excited also...... :rotfl:

Kay , should you start a list of Disers who are up early in case we need a Dis breakfast meet? Looks like you and I are regularly up real early. Am I supposed to call your room or will Harry also get up this early? (notice how I volunteered you) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .
Are you going to the Wal Mart today? No time for me to go. Tried to get Billy a coat or suit last night. He will likely take a 40 reg, can you believe it?!!!!!
It's getting to be a real issue with him. Has me worried just how big he will end up. He had a better day yesterday, thank goodness.
Is there no spell check on this darn thing?

Okay Lynda.... now we have to see a picture of the house!!!!!

I'm up early today (even though I'm off) to go to.... you guessed it... WAL-MART!!! I can't believe I haven't had a chance to go until now.. it's been a hectic week! I hope there are blinky flippy floppy thingies left!

Am always up early. Never used an alarm clock ever. I just love the mornings. Thanks for volunteering me - nice way to give someone a boost.... :cool1: Harry is not an early mornng person - more late night - so he will be up late and I'll be up early. That way we get along real good.

Can't wait to have some of the Hot Chocolate on pool deck early in the morning when the breeze is blowing through from one side to the other. It is just heavenly and the best.

I just looked up the closest Wal Mart to me and it is in Pompano Beach. I think after the doctor's apptm. this morning I will go there. :moped: Feel pretty good today. Have to go to UPS to ship a box of disney pins that I sold recently anyways.

That is so funny about the couple in the dining room!!! On our cruise last year, there was a guy on formal night with dress pants on and a superman t-shirt :rotfl2:
Kaylin got her letter from Cammi last night! How cute and thanks soooo much! Kaylin was so excited to see something from her in the mail. She loves getting mail instead of e-mail! We will get Cammi's letter out most likely this weekend!
Congrats on your promotion! Maybe your boss could talk with mine! No such luck here and he is still not budging, so I guess I will be giving my notice in two weeks!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Thanks for the ugly car list. I was worried my car wouldn't be on it.

Come on, not even the Joker would drive this.

Funny you should bring that up. I am in Denver right now, it it just so happens that this is the rental car I have. Talk about uncomfortable! DW has wanted one for years, but after having driven it some... no thanks!

Snow on the cape! I love Cape Cod- what a great place. I wish I went there more when I lived in Massachusetts. I could really go for some fried clams about now....even for breakfast. Oh or ice cream from Four Seas! Anyways....
I have been looking at all of the posts, especially the one yesterday listing all of the activities.

What is the chance of getting involved this late in the game?

:confused3

Hi Celeste, and welcome! There are still lots of things you can join in on that you read about in the update. Are you a pin collector? There will be a pin trading meet. Did you see the listing of t-shirts you can order? We plan to wear our "Reposition This" tees on embarkation day and "...all I got was this lousy t-shirt" on debarkation day. You can sign up to play tag, and also for the scavenger hunt. If you'd like, you can sign to be part of Zazu's Crew and help pass out the mini-navigators. Have you added your name to the master list yet? That's the most important thing to do, so everyone knows where you are. Make sure you sign up to get a magnet also!

It's so fun knowing we have all these built-in friends before we even get on the ship! I can't wait to meet everyone!

FOUR MORE WEEKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

Okay... I've got to stick up for our poor PT Cruiser! ;)

We have one of the "ugly" PT Cruisers. We were one of those crazy people who ran to the Chrysler dealership months before it was released and got on a 6 month wait list. We really love it!

It's been a great little car for us, especially with the design and the seat configurations. I fit so many things in that poor little car when we were remodellng! It was a godsend! Amazing how now there are so many other vehicles with the same configurations :goodvibes

I guess you either love 'em , or hate 'em :rotfl2:

How do you sign up for the master list, the magnet, and sail away party?
I have ordered the reposition shirt this AM and the pin shirt. I haven't seen any link on how to order the lousy shirt.

I'm a little confused

Hubby may be doing some work on our laptop on sea days..do any of you know of any options for him to email this work back to the office if he puts it on disk or cd??

Thanks for the help.

Cheryl

Okay, I can't believe I forgot to post this yesterday! My TA called DCL on Tuesday to inquire about the status of our docs. She was told by the DCL person that our docs had been sent to "printing" and that we should start receiving them next week!

:cheer2: :Pinkbounc YAHOO!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Celeste, go to page 542 on this thread, post #8128. Scroll down a little until you see the words "info for the master list" and click on the link. That will allow you to e-mail your information. You can check out the master list to see what kind of information is on there by clicking on the link "master list."

If you read through post #8128, you can see everything there is to sign up for and how to sign up.

Good luck, and let us know if you need more help!

Unfortunately NO!
I have spoken to Disney extensively about this as I am in grad school and have papers due while on vacation- I am online this quarter.

You would have to fax at $7 per page or send this from internet cafe while in port.

The only other option is to sign onto a "go to my pc" type service.
He can read and reply to email while on the ship but cannot ammend attachements or send them- unless other people know other options that Disney has not told me about.
(I almost had to cancel- they were less than helpful in this aspect. You'd think the amount of money for the cruise would encourage them to show a little Disney Magic! I was able to take a class from a teacher who knew my situation- lucky most nurses like to travel and understand.)

And don't forget to let me know if you would like to play Tag. It's a game with a magnetic Mickey being passed around the ship. Lots of fun.

For the master list, send an email to Jen or Jeff. You can find their email addresses on Peter's daily updates.

I can't remember who the keeper of the sailaway party list is...Ooops! :teeth:
