I knew I paid to bring my parents on this cruise for a reason!!!!.....Mom and Dad..........Happy 50th Anniversary......................now..............all you need to do is go with me and Robert (kinda like Joe!) EVERYDAY so we can get pins. 4 adults, 4 pins.

12 x 4 = 48 pins by end of cruise. YOO HOO!!!!

I thought it would be neat to get the mini-hubcap and a set of the port pins with a map for each of the kids as a souvenier. (add another $87+ per person)
Although the voucher thing sounds good - if there are only 500 pins... won't that just mean that the line for vouchers will form early?
I'm guessing it will be a no-go trying to drag everyone back to the ship on port days just to stand in a pin line. Acapulco for example - isn't departure time quite a bit later than the one hour voucher distribution time?

I'd consider the rent-a-kid option (would that qualify me for the entrepeneur meet?)
But I'm guessing since I doubt I'll be able to talk them into standing in line to get their own pin, the squawking would really start if I told them they had to stand in line for someone else.

NEWS FLASH!!!!

"Gloria Gaynor" arrested on Disney Magic.................................

After hundreds of passengers "reported" missing KTTW cards, ship security personnel discovered "Gloria" with over 1000 KTTW cards in her Disney Pin Trading Bag. Seems she was getting free drinks for every KTTW turned into her in order to purchase the much coveted Limited Edition pins on the Kingdom to Kingdom Cruise!!!

STATEROOM CREDITS FOR THIS PANAMA CRUISE


Hi everyone,

I have a question for you has anyone received stateroom credits for this Panama cruise, no matter how you paid for this cruise ( credit, cash...) if you changed a prior reserved cruise to the Panama cruise dates once they were made available ?

Example: While on a cruise in late 04 we picked a random date for a cruise in late 05, we were given stateroom credits for booking on board. When the dates for the Panama cruise were announced we moved the random 05 cruise reservation to the Panama reservation.

Hope this makes sense... If you have done this change and have stateroom credits can you please PM me.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered earlier. The search tool keeps bombing out when I try and search this thread...

Question 1. This will be my first time Scuba diving in the Caribbean. Is a 3mm wetsuit warm enough or do you need something in the 5mm range? Up here in Seattle it's dry suits all the way. Warm water diving will be a pleasant change. Of the two dive excursions planned, what are the advantages of Curacao over Cabo and vice versa? I'd really like to go with DW and kids to explore the Hato caves but that conflicts with the dive excursion. Decisions...decisions...

Question 2. What is the closest car rental agency when we dock in LA? I just got off the phone with budget and they said their office is 12 miles away from where we dock. Anything closer? We're going to rent a car for a couple of days and explore the area a bit before heading back to the great northwest.

We didn't transfer a reservation to the Repo but I remember a big flap about it last year. As I remember, DCL was saying that the room credits for booking on board didn't transfer to the repo cruises. I remember lots of posts about this last year.

Maybe Regina remembers what happened.

I'm sure Scott can answer your wet suit questions. One of the biggest differences between the two dive excursions is that the Curacao dive is a 2 tank trip and the Cabo dive is only 1 tank.

I Remember Disney did not honor the Credit , But Dreams Unlimited Travel.

I called DCL today and tried to sign up for this but was told it was sold out. Do you think there's any chance they might open more spots or be saving some for booking on ship? Anyone have any advice on how we can get into this sold out excursion?

The closest office for budget is code lg2 and someone on the board did verify they do pick up at the port. Don't count on the national office knowing.

I have a question about the excursion in Acapulco....

We are signed up to do the tour that takes you to the cliff divers... not the one at the restaurant...the other one. Does anyone know if you will have to climb the 60 steps to see the divers? On the Acapulco thread on the main board, Roberto talks about the diver show and that unless you are at the restaurant, you have to walk up/down 60 steps.

If this is the case, I am not sure I will want to do it!!! In that heat, 60 steps does not sound like fun at all!

For those with the REAS package, I am sure there are some conflicts with the activities listed above. I know our REAS package is conflicting some of them. I am just going to try and work them out.
