Seaulater = Disboard Navigator for this cruise. Now, I'm not coming up with an original idea here, but credit goes to Mark and Mary from the 10 day Christmas Cruise who made the Navigator and delivered to everyone's "fish" for when they arrived at their stateroom door.

I will make up the navigator (for everything we have scheduled prior to the cruise), print, bring, and deliver to everyone. I will also bring extras for the sailaway party(ies).
What Mary did is post the Navigator before we left on her website and then people could print out if they wanted.
So here's what it will list:
1. People's names; location and whether they are playing tag or not..
2. Each day and the schedule of disboard activities for that day.
3. A place for Notes
4. Anything else that might be deemed important.

Stateroom Volunteer = Volunteer'sTo Deliver The DIS Navigator That Will Be published each Day By Seaulater, Will contain What is Going on Each Day with The Dis Events. Zazu's Crew = Hygiene99, Bettemom,Videogal1,Ennisb, and Scott H. Any others ??

Morning all! Our weatherman lied!!!!
Yesterday they said our Lake Effect would be sporadic at best.

Well 8 INCHES later we are still snowing! The wind was horrible, and because of it took forever to snow blow as it kept blowing back over!

Oh to just see Wishes while sitting on the hub at Main Street. :sunny: :flower: I will just have to plug in my CD and listen to the music. Hopefully that will help :earboy2: ;)

Have a good day all!

Debbie

P.S. - Peter thanks for the offer :earboy2:  :rotfl2:

Hygiene99: Thanks so much for the daily editions. I look forward to it each day. Every time I read it there is something that I missed previously. You are awesome and thanks so much :wave2:

Hey everyone :flower:

I tried to get my DH to wear a grass skirt but he said quote...over his dead body, the tux and pirate costume is enough. Party Pooper

I can identify with your husband (I'll be the only one at my table without a grass skirt). I'll wear the tux, pirate costume, 60s and 70s stuff, but no grass skirt for me.

We saw the Disney movie "The Pacifier" with Vin Deisel last night - it was very cute, great movie for all ages. It's along the lines of Kiddergarden Cop, big muscle guy being out done by kids. Alex

Thanks for the update on Disney's "Pacifier" I thought it looked cute. Maybe that's just the thing to do to get out of the winter snow, more snow, blues!

Here's to Wuzzle Wednesday! Good one Scott + Jen! :flower:

Back to work. I've only been in 1/5 hours, and already it's a doozie!!! (And my user isn't in yet!!!) :badpc:

Anyone seen Juli lately? She is listed in the same stateroom as I am! On Jenn's master list, we have the same stateroom. I checked my documents from DCL and they show 6034.

I wonder if Juli has cancelled....

(Bummer, too... she has kids the same age as mine!)

Hoo boy, um...Wishes may be gone by May. Does anyone else here get the Disney Magazine? Under the What's Going On section for May, it shows a new fireworks show beginning at WDW to coincide with the 50th celebration at DL. I believe it's called something like Cinderellarific or something like that. It also said Wishes would be opening up in DL Paris. So for those of us at the parks before the cruise, we will be able to see a new fireworks show!

In addition, the magazine promised that Soarin' Over California and the stunt show at MGM would be open for the celebration too. So two new attractions at the parks as well as a new fireworks display. :cheer2: I'm glad we're coming in early so we can try to sneak in these new things!

Happy Wezzel Wednesday!

Wishes will still be there.... Cinderellabration is a show on the castle stage. They have "borrowed" it from Tokyo Disneyland.

There is a new fireworks display at Disneyland! That one sounds great!!!

Still snowing here...... :sunny:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have to tell a story here. DH and I went to DL for a brief honeymoon after our wedding in 1996. Had such a great time there, beginning our love of Disney.

Well, in 1998, 1999, and 2001, we took trips to WDW. Found so much to do in FL that we could never get it all in, despite the 16-day trip in 2001. Anyway, in 2002 we decided to go back to DL for our anniversary.

We were so excited! We got to the park before opening, and rushed in as soon as the ropes were down. As we were walking down Main Street, DH is looking around and comparing Main Street at DL to Main St at WDW. I started giggling, so he asks what I'm seeing. I told him to look up at the castle. :earseek: Well, to his horror, the castle had shrunk!! It was really too funny. We had forgotten how much smaller the Sleeping Beauty castle is compared to Cinderella's castle. To this day, he get's a little upset when I mention the castle at DL... :rotfl2:

Although I would love to go to Disneyland after our trip, my children would prefer to go sightseeing. I'd like to arrange for the 6 of us to tour the area and see as much as we can see in the two days that we'll be there. DD (13) and DS (9) want to go places like Beverly Hills and the Chineese theater with the handprints outside (They both like to watch the Travel channel). My first instinct would be to do a Grayline tour. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

LOL... the Chinese Theater at Disney MGM is much nicer.. :rotfl: Not to be a downer or anything but we did the sightseeing thing thru Hollywood, Beverly Hills etc when we were at DL in 2002. We took the tour that runs right from the DL Hotel... It was like an E-ticket ride thru the freeways of LA...LOL The smog was too bad to see the Hollywood sign, the Chinese Theater was disgusting, Hollywood was a ghetto and you can't get into the stores in Beverly Hills/Rodeo drive without an appointment!! ...LOL
If you're not going to DL... go to Magic Mtn and ride the roller coasters.....THAT was fun!!

Kara: I remember the first time we went to DL in 1999..... When I walked in the front of Main Street I thought they had taken the castle down or something... I kept saying to Joe... "Where's the Castle??" You couldn't see it behind the trees of the hub!!! It will be interesting to see what they've done to it for the 50th. Supposedly some big ribbons or something.... let's hope its not a disaster like the 25th Pepto Cake at WDW!!

They have started the renovations at WDW castle too...it's looking okay so far.... I don't know about the Magic Mirror thing... but the towers look nice with the reinessance (sp?) look. I just wish they wouldn't mess with the Castle... I have issues with that!!!

meb51: sightseeing is a great idea. Most of the tours initially originate at the Chinese Theatre. There are quite a few vendors you can choose from. We took one in October when we were there and choose to go with one of the vendors that had a smaller bus that seated approx. 12 people instead of a Greyhound bus. It was about a 4 hour tour and took us up into the hills and all over LA including the stars homes. They picked us up at our hotel and took us back to the hotel.
You can't go wrong with one the sightseeing tours.

No real information for June. As always, Disney says this is subject to change without notice. The only attraction shown closed for refurbishment is Space Mountain.

I was looking for concerts and such, and the only thing I can find is Steve Winwood at House of Blues on May 31.

Happy planning.

:earsboy:

Having grown up at Disneyland, I am partial since that's the park we live closest too and visit the most often. DL started a special fireworks display and they are in the "round". It is amazing to be in the park (we stand on the walkway between Main Street and Tomorrowland). That way Tinkerbell goes right over our heads and we can see the castle and all the fireworks. If you get right in the middle of the "plaza" at the end of Main Street, alot of times the trees block some of your view. Go stand on one of the walkways and you'll have a great view!

There are a bunch of soft openings coming up in March. I read it in one of my Disney things I either got by email or snail mail.

That's pretty funny..HereI've been to DL a zillion times...welll...and never to those you mentioned even though I lived most of my life in California...Maybe I should schedule a little of that myself...DL rides are not very accessible.....Grayline tours would be my choice unless a member of our reunion group cares to drive....

A tour it is! I guess before deciding on the specific tour, I'll look into getting the hotel. I think we plan to stay one night in LA and the second night near the LAX airport. I don't think any of us have been to LA before so we're pretty clueless.

WE Drove Around Bought a Star map.

That's neat but you are much braver than we are. We definitely do not want to do any driving while in LA. Neither my DH nor I are much on big city driving any more. :)

I FINALLY got one of my ZAZZLE orders! :Pinkbounc

I ordered 2 polo shirts, and put the button logo on them. They are HUGE! Maybe they'll shrink when I wash them. I was pleased with the quality of the graphic. :goodvibes Now I must wait for the other order.

Happy WUZZLE Wednesday to everyone!

Tried to send a private message to Tink33 regarding the daily exercising plans, but got an error message that messages were either not accepted or couldn't be delivered. So, here goes the broadcast:

Hello!
On the Jan 15 Cruise this year, I actually lost 8 pounds on the cruise thanks to Norwalks and then a bout of Gall Bladder, so I'm thinking:
hummmm, Overindulgence is not such a good thing. LOL :sad2:
I'm very overweight, but do walking. :teleport: I would love to join up with my fellow travellers to do walking in the AM and PM. Please add me to the list and keep me advised to events.

Thanks ever so much for arranging this. Folks like me need it.

Hugs,

Margaret
