No we can't. Once you open a store in cafe press, that's it for merchandise, anything else would require opening another store. That's the deal with the basic free membership, if you pay a fee to cafe press you get more options...

I also receive some email requesting the "All I got is this lousey t-shirt" to come off of the other shirt. That's not really feasible as it is imbedded in the design, it's not simply an over print. Jeff would have to rework the entire design. Sorry about that, it's just not going to happen in the forseeable future.

Thanks for answering that. I didn't email, but would like it without that if it was for me. But for DH, it works great! If Jeff does get a chance, would love it if he could take out that line and then I would get one for myself!

Not to worry though - we have the "Cash will be working while on the cruise and is not there as a pet" discussion frequently. Hope to have it permanently etched into her little head by cruise time.


I think the mini flashlights sound like a great idea!

I know there are several groups who have gotten together to work on sailaway gifts. Makes it a bit more managable.
As far as how many - I know Ken posted a request for everyone to update their info on Jeff's list as he is going off that for the lanyards. Only problem is, I'm thinking there may be some folks listed there who are not joining us anymore. (in which case they probably are not checking in here to see the request)
The sailaway sign-up may be more current as it was not started quite as long ago.

I like the idea of the reposition this graphic on the back of a T shirt as well - but certainly wouldn't want anyone to go to a lot of time or trouble. Too bad Cafe Press doesn't make things easier. Gotta get folks to sign up for their memberships somehow I guess.

Stateroom Volunteer = Will Be looking for One Volunteer To Deliver The DIS Navigator That Will Be published each Day By Seaulater, Will contain What is Going on Each Day with The Dis Events
Deck 7 & 6 accounted for 1,2,5,8 Still Not accounted for.

Seaulater = I hereby volunteer to make the Disboard Navigator for this cruise. Now, I'm not coming up with an original idea here, but credit goes to Mark and Mary from the 10 day Christmas Cruise who made the Navigator and delivered to everyone's "fish" for when they arrived at their stateroom door.

So, I think we had a couple of volunteers to deliver, so I will make up the navigator (for everything we have scheduled prior to the cruise), print, bring, and deliver to everyone. I will also bring extras for the sailaway party(ies) and all that good stuff.

What Mary did is post the Navigator before we left on her website and then people could print out if they wanted. I did, and it was handy.
So here's what it will list:
1. People's names; location and whether they are playing tag or not..
2. Each day and the schedule of disboard activities for that day.
3. a place for notes on the back
4. Anything else that might be deemed unimportant or important.

I know this will come as a complete surprise to everyone, but one of my interests is improv comedy. Since DCL took the improv out of Off-Beat, it's up to us to bring improv back to the Magic. So, I'll be "hosting" some improv games on one of the at sea days TBD. Anyone interested? No experience necessary. It's just for fun. Audience members needed, too, but a minimum drink requirement may be imposed to enhance the comedic value of participants.

NejTheLion = I was thinking about offering to put together a DVD of the cruise - collecting photos and possibly video footage from the cruisers afterwards, making some music videos, slideshows, etc. I'm in the process of desiging and putting up a website doing this, already having done quite a few for assorted family functions. I can make them all spiffy - real cases, color covers, direct color printing on the discs. Ron Jons and the Radisson, no official meets have been Set up as of yet but Look for folks all day around the pool area's also several others at the Airport hyatt and plans are in works.

Too funny!! I have been having the same conversation with DD about the working dog concept. :love: She keeps saying we can't touch him, but we can look at him!

I love the idea of the mini flashlights...great for finding things during naps or early bedtimes!

Evening guys and gals...

I'd say Good Evening, but it hasn't been very good to me.

Both my kids are in the school play this year and today was a rehearsal. I walked out of the auditorium (sp?) to escort some kids to their cars. When I went back to gather my belongings (ie. purse, cell phone, car keys, wallet, etc. etc) I discovered the door was closed and LOCKED :sad2:

There is NO way to get them until school is back in session........................
on WEDNESDAY :sad:

Can I just share how um... happy my husband is about this? :rolleyes1

At any rate, I'm now home and able to be on the Disboards at least :teeth: And he should be happy since I can't spend any money this weekend!

Sheila asked about the Master List and if there might be a large number of people on it that aren't coming. I've been trying to find out if any of our missing in action friends have dropped out and at this point, only about 6 groups are unaccounted for. I've sent updates to Jeff as I hear from people. I will post the names of the still missing in action next week. But all in all, the master list is fairly accurate at this point. FYI - there are a few people who post but have not submitted names to Jeff, so not everyone really wants to be on the master list.

I think the master list is good for a total count of the people in the Dis group. The sailaway party is a good indicator of the number of groups.

The list has been updated 99% (there's one photo we haven't put up. So as far as Jeff and I know, it's up to date.
Anybody else do Scratch Magic? I just picked up a pack today and absolutly love it...
 
Can somebody splain something to me? Our reservation came today and it showed that the Magic departs at 4:00 PM on that Saturday. Is this correct? If so, when will the lifeboat drill be and how or will this affect the Dis meet? I thought the Magic left at 5:00 PM.

The magic shuts it's doors at 4pm for the lifeboat drill. Actual sailaway won't be until 5ish... At least that's what I was told when I saw that in October for our cruise...
 
Here we are on Pirate Night with our picture in front of Lumiere's at 5:50 p.m. I had gone to Guest Services that morning after I saw on the video screen that Captain Hook and Mr. Smee would be reporting for pictures to the atrium at 6 p.m. Told the CM at Guest Services that I wanted a family picture taken by the ship photographer with all 13 of us in our Pirate outfits but we were eating dinner at 6 p.m.

Was there any way she could contact the appropriate CM and arrange this for me? By the time I returned to my stateroom an hour later, there was a message on my phone saying "Be prompt, be there at 5:50 p.m. and have your group ready to go and Mr. Smee, Captain Hook and one of the ship's photographer's will meet you there for your family picture!" Talk about going the extra mile! So here is the picture:
