GarRy - I used to be a firefighter/paramedic in my former life. I also used to run the Medical Command Center at WVU in Morgantown - so I hear ya about the 24 hours....

LeiLani - Yes - we're so spoiled after the Cat. 3 - we're in a Cat. 4 in April - and again in December - Hopefully my wife will still go after she's tried the Cat. 4....:hyper:

Not being on call is definitely nice - but the shift work can get to you. Especially when you have early meetings and then have to work the late shift. At least my beeper doesn't go off all of the time.

Hi all!

Checking in from the Northwest...lots of rain here (same 'old, same ol!). We actually have some sun in the forcast for the end of next week! That news is very welcome...

Wow, I would LOVE to do a Cat 3 or better some time...but still looking forward to this, our first cruise!:smooth:

It has been a very busy work week with looooong hours and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Next week is sure to be a killer as well...but it will be a four-day weekend :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: after that!!!!

Took DD Katja to the doctor this evening to have TWO plantar warts removed--giant things, one on each foot. YUCK! She completely FREAKED and it took three of us to hold her down while they scraped dead skin and applied the freezing juice :( :( . Very traumatic end to the week.

Matt--thinking about your website idea...and also, how was YOUR school week???? What was the final verdict on your history test?

Christy

LeiLani

I wish you well on your quest for the Walt suite but why would you want that one, which is not handicapped accessible, when you have just changed to a stateroom that is handicapped accessible?

If you do get the Walt suite would you release #8602 for me and Cash, the Wonder Dog? ::yes::

Lynda,

We switched to 8602, which is handicapped accessible, because that is the Cat 3 that DCL offered to us. Don't flame me, but we do not require a handicap accessible cabin, so I am hoping we get moved to another Cat 3 or to a Cat 1 or 2 so that maybe 8602 can be made available for you and Cash. DCL usually does not release the handicap accessible cabins until about 30 days out from the cruise, but it seems like this time they are releasing them early. We can't wait to meet you and Cash and if we stay in 8602 Cash is always welcome to stretch his legs since we have such a large verandah.

Barb - have a great trip.

Stace - have a good weekend in Vegas.

Karyn, Randy, Jill - welcome back. Hope you had a "Magic"al time.

Karyn, Randy, Jill Hope you all had a great time cruising. :boat: Welcome back!!

Barb - Have a great time in Ireland::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: .

Leilani - Hoe you all didn't get too much of the white stuff this week. I was just kidding about you keeping it all, I know Mary wants her share and we must send some to Lisa too. I just don't care if it all passes me by. :sunny: Enjoy rm 8602 - unless of course you get Walt's room. It is great that you are willing to share that wonderful verhanda.

David - Let's hope you are picked, then you can share your inside info with all of us!!

Stace - Hope you had a winning time in Vegas.

Off to the Barn, riding time for DS & DD.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Vicki,

I know you were just kidding.:p So was I.:teeth: We got about 5 inches so we have plenty of snow on the ground. Because of the snow plows the mail boxes are almost covered up. Now, the wind is blowing so we are getting some pretty interesting snow drifts. Every time the guys come out to plow the driveway and sidewalks they are covered over again in about an hour. Are we having fun yet??? Is it March yet? I want to be at WDW.::yes::

LeiLani

LeiLani hope the white stuff quits visiting soon. We actually have had more ice than sn*w.
Kids had yesterday off school again, but DD had to cheer at the basketball game, which wasn't cancelled even though school was. I haven't figured that one out yet (policy used to be no activities if no school)

Well DS is finally getting ready to head out. So I better get going

sigh,
There is a process of change going on with the DCL service dog policy that, unfortunately you landed square in the middle of. The only way that Cash and I can go on this cruise, it seems, is if we have an accessible stateroom with a verandah. If you're serious about letting him have his DCL-approved litterbox potty on your verandah, that's fine with me....We'll be seeing a lot of each other. All I know is that DCL insists that either I un-housebreak him so he will potty in my stateroom, or I un-train him to go off with a stranger to go potty in a backstage area.
Insisting on either of those policies will land DCL in hot water with the ADA police because you NEVER mess with the training of a service dog. (I believe a suit against DCL is already being prepared by someone else on this issue.) I'm not going to insult you or give you a hard time over this... (the Mouse wouldn't like that) I'll reserve the room assignment process and its repercussions for my TA and her DCL special reservations contact, where it rightly belongs. Right now the only way we'll meet, though, is if you come to Texas.

For all of us in the snow area:
