Yep...right now it's 80-something outside....but I do appreciate your words of caution. I'm always very careful....and it's a really big room, none of my stuff is near the furnace!

First off...........this diet thing............. boy I really feel better now. I have been battling weight issues since back surgery a few years back. But, now it looks like this cruise will be filled with "healthly" cruisers!! Yipeee!!

Ok, I am also going to call Shirley, the idea of the smell sounds like a nice idea - my DH also rolls his eyes at me, and even protests - but when all is said and done and he is enjoying what ever it is out of the norm that I have done - he is Happy and says he is sorry for being negitive. So I will also have an extra suit case 0r maybe look into shipping it to the Raddison Hotel (the decorations) so I don't have to add it to my luggage???? um.....just a thought.............

Just another thought - should we try to make some sort of deal with Shirley? Seeing that it seems just from the posts today, we could have 1/2 dozens trees - worth a try? If everyone things this is a good idea I would be happy to call her and see what can be done.

Well, I am sad right now the Yankees are beating the Red Sox - and it is only the top of the 1st!!! 3-0 DH is at the game - let's hope the Sox can turn things around - Reverse the Curse!!! Go Boston!

Congrats on the top and veteran status. Now that you are a vet you can change what you want it to say there. Just go to User CP. It won't be in color (unless a tag fairy makes it color), but it can be unique.

Sounds like a great idea - count us in if you can get a group deal. It would be one less thing we'd have to worry about.

I must have missed the tree discussion. Just how big are they? I'm just hoping we have an extra hook somewhere to hang a stocking! I saw the cutest stocking last week at MGM with Tinkerbell in a red velvet dress, now I'm wishing I'd gotten it.

Stacey, you can store some of the stuff in your suitcases. They're empty, right?

We made sushi tonight. Jim, can you top that? It was semi-successful. Alicia kept mentioning that they were falling apart, and we need to get the rice ratio down. The Food & Wine Festival cookbook had a recipe and instructions. Still, we decided we needed a field trip to our favorite sushi place soon to spy on the sushi chef.

Angie....I think we are having Brunch together on the last full day at sea...Sunday, the 26th. I have had so much in my head lately, I honestly could not tell you what time.....but, yes...yu can make a reservation and tell them you are with the huge group of people who have been driving them nuts for months! They'll know who we are. LOL

Diana, storing that stuff in my suitcases would only make me feel the urge to actually "pack". I brought some of it into the dining room...and I remembered the stack of boxes before Megan's wedding, the invitations, flowers, decorations. And I swore if I ever got my dining room back, I'd never do that again! Ha...

Have to stay up until midnight...picking up the girls from the Homecoming dance. I thought it would be held in the gym, but they're at the Carefree Inn Resort....it's a pretty place.
I had four of them here getting ready...they even all took showers here, that one confused me.....I just go with the flow.
But, I had done laundry all day...and then FOUR showers??? I'm surprised the well isn't dry.
They all looked really pretty. But I'm not sure who they were. They entered as 14 year olds, and left as 25 year olds. I can't take this.......LeiLani....do you want another daughter?
Who has boys...someone with all boys needs a girl.......

While they were doing all their primping, we went to a newly remodeled restaurant in Cave Creek....they did a great job. It's now called "Wild Willy's Pub and Grub".....three outdoor seating areas, a bubbling brook....nice, good food, and casual.

Guess I'll go see what I can buy online....I didn't do too much damage today...lots of bargains! So, I can tell Jay that I saved him a TON of money!!

Good morning everyone. Stacey, you are just way too funny (as I'm sure your DD tells you!) I'm sure the girls had fun.

DD has a Halloween Ball at school. She's actually asked a boy if he wants to go with her! It's a boy who's in DS's scout troop, and I also work with this boy's father (Southern MD is like that. Anyone remember the 7 degrees to Kevin Bacon game? In So MD, I can usually make a connection with just about anyone in 2 to 3 links!) She was sick Thursday and they were out of school Friday. Yesterday she said "I'll be Zach gave Shannon a note to give to me." That's when the whole thing came out. We had talked about just casually mentioning the dance and asking if he was going. I guess she decided to do it via note, and be direct instead. Stace, anyone take you up on that offer for a daughter? Do you think they'd like another one?! I'm so not ready for this. And where's that neighborhood watch?

I'm not doing a lot of holiday decorations. Can't remember who it was (they were from the west coast) who said they were just enjoying Disney's decorations. That would be us! I don't even plan to decorate at home. I normally put up Christmas things no earlier than the 10th of December on the weekend, and since we're leaving early on the 15th, that would mean all that work for maybe 3 days of enjoyment. We'll just enjoy the Disney trees! My mom just can't believe I'm not putting up Christmas. She just kept insisting that I need to do it. So I just did the rolleye thing and said "Of course, you're right Mom. I'll put up Christmas before I go." That's not really a fib is it? I had my fingers crossed (lol).

The person we rented points from is going to check Monday about getting us a room for the BWV on the 17th using the points we planned for the in-laws rooms. So I'll know our last night plans by the middle of the week.

I spent yesterday afternoon and evening packing. I have all the stuff for the kids and me completely done except: evening clothes (they're mostly laid out, but I'll pack them much later so they don't wrinkle as badly), socks, underwear and toiletries! DH needs another pair of shorts and some casual shirts, then he'll be at the same place the rest of us are. DH is only 5'5" and has very short legs. It's almost impossible to find shorts for him. Any suggestions? Two of the pair we've packed come to his knees, but it was all I could find!

Gus, any luck moving into the in-laws vacated room? I sure hope it works out for you.

We won't be putting up any decorations at home either. We leave the UK on 17th so it seems pointless to decorate just to have to take it all down when we get back and not have enjoyed them at all.

All_Ears - my DH always moans about all the pre-trip planning I do but he then has to admit afterwards that it was all worthwhile and made the trip better.

I have always put up lights on the fence and shrubs around my house. Just a small ceramic tree (Beauty and the Beast) in the house since I have cats and dogs. I put the lights on a timer for am and pm viewing. Maybe just one tree this year for my neighbors child since we will be gone.
