Good Morning everyone!!

Wow, single digit weeks! Time is going fast for me since I didn't reserve this cruise till September. I know I probably paid top price, but I really wanted to go!!

We are late dining also, but always request to dine alone at a table. We're not snobs, we just enjoy our dinner time alone.

I'm thinking of bringing a small tree with lights. I read on the main board once that someone had Shirley do a tree and a small live greenery decoration so the room smelled like a tree. (I hope Cash doesn't find the trees!) I don't know if I'll have her do that or not cuz I don't know how much she charges. I'm trying not to spend too much more extra money.

Lisa: So sorry that your in-laws won't be able to cruise.

Scuba diver: Congrats on the weight loss. I hope I won't be the only overweight person there. I did kickboxing for six years and didn't loose much at all. Just gained some muscle--but it's hidden by all the fat!

Good morning all!

Brrrrrr.....it's cold here today. Had to dig out the gloves and heavier coats for the boys this a.m. I'm not ready for winter yet!

Decorations - Yup, count me in on someone lugging an extra bag with the festive stuff for the rooms. Bringing a Disney holiday door covering for an inside door, a little battery-operated, pre-lit tree, mini resin ornaments for the boys to decorate it with, their stockings, a couple of those Hallmark light/sound ornaments, a battery-operated "pretend" candle and some lights for the verandah windows. My DH will also be shaking his head........but, hey, it's all about magic, right?!

Stacey - Congrats to Jay on the home run last night! Whoo hoo!

Lisa - So glad you're still going on the cruise, but sorry to hear about your DH's friend.

Nine weeks 'til we sail........wowser!

Judy - I called Shirley @ The Perfect Gift last week to inquire about the Teleflora Christmas tree and fresh greens. She wasn't sure if she was going to be able to get the tree this year or not, but said it would be "at least" $50 and probably more, if she could. She's going to check into it and will probably know something in early November. FYI, if you're interested.

how are gas prices out east? filled up yesterday to the lovely tune of $2.50 a gallon. I know prices got bad when the hurricanes were there have they gone down?

Good Saturday Morning All!!

It's cold, cold, cold here today also. It was 39 this morning and the wind is blowing so it feels worse. We should be in for a slight warm up later this week so that is good. Unfortunately, I have to go sit at a soccer game this afternoon. Brrrrr!!!!

I will also be bringing some decorations for the cabin. I am going to have Shirley provide us with a small tabletop tree and some greenery and then I will bring the other decorations. I figure I have to take an extra suitcase for all the souvenirs and other stuff we buy, so I will pack it with decorations going down and just leave those for trash or with the crew if they want them.

Charlotte - thanks for this information. I will have to call Shirley again, because when I talked to her over a week ago, she didn't say anything about having any problems with getting these. I will give her a call again next week. I better make backup plans just in case.

Just DH and I going, no children, no grandchildren. We also are spending 6 days at DW prior to the cruise and flying from the West Coast.....some may be "left coasters" here, but not us. Therefore, I won't be bringing an extra bag with Christmas decorations. We are thinking we will just enjoy what Disney does. They decorate so much better than me anyway!

Judy, you need to read back on this thread a bit. Quite a few of us have been lamenting the failure of our diet plans. Or should I say, the failure of our plans to diet?

Lisa, sorry to hear about the health problems with your family and friends. I'm glad you're still going!

I spent three hours last night at the studio, going through costume stuff without actually getting anything done. Now I have homework. I think I will just drop her off today and not go in.

Judy - I am another one who has not been at all successful with the pre-cruise dieting so you most certainly won't be the only overweight one there. I am now concentrating on getting a bit fitter by walking more so at least I will have enough energy to enjoy the activities.

I am planning to take some decorations for our cabin. Probably nothing as big as a tree as I don't think they'll let me check on of those on the plane but I will be bringing some tinsel type decorations and my snow globe. Does anyone hang a decoration on the outside of their cabin door? On our last cruise several cabins had them and I thought they were a great idea. Helps to find your cabin too.

I had planned to bring a few strands of lights and clothes pins for the window. Never thought about the suction cups. The idea of the greens for the aroma, I almost said smell, sounds great. I will call Shirley also. I still haven't found the outside door decoration I like. Since Jeanne doesn't see well that is a great way for her to find the cabin. Of course she has a 1 in 4 chance of getting the key in correctly the 1st time. If you see her struggling don't make her laugh!
