Yup, still do it. Wish they'd show it on the 1/2 time shows but they're always yakin' about football or something or other. :) It's pretty impressive to watch it on the field though. And during the alumni game, when the alumni band is there, they actually do FOUR script Ohio's simultaneously. That's the nice thing about living in a state with a short name. Not many other schools could accomplish something like that. Especially not MeatChicken. ;)

That's why I gave up watching college football on TV - too much football and not enough fun stuff like the bands. :D

Disney VISA is auctioning off the PC cruise from Calif back to Fl and with 9 days and 22 hours left in bidding the cruise is at the low bidding price of only 16,600

And it is only a category 9 for 2 adults and 2 children. Are they crazy or what? There are 78 idiots bidding on the package. You even have to provide your own airfare each way!!!!

Hi, just ran to get my calendar,. I am on a Carnival cruise to nowhere (out of Baltimore) from 10/31 to 11/2. And leaving for HH on 11/10 and returning 11/17. Could we do Sat 11/6? If you have already indicated that is not a good weekend then I have 11/20. I am retired :) so I have most weekdays free. Hope we can work something out!
Sue

That makes top #4!

Darn, I just missed getting my first one! Love reading band talk, my niece is in her last year of hs and plays the trombone in the marching unit. Our fall season is scheduled around the marching unit and the hs football games.

I talked to my TA today regarding possibly upgrading to a veranda suite. Guess what none available........what a surprise.
We are on a waitng list for one.

Too bad we would have to pay the going rate today to upgrade and not the discounted Disney rate of Oct. 2003 when I originally booked.

Gus

Yes, it's good to decide on that veranda early on! I checked on the rates of cabins without verandas about a year ago, and found the rate to be the same as we we're paying WITH the veranda. Early booking is good.

We don't get excited about football too much in NM. The Lobos have never had much of a team. Now basketball, that's another story. Hard to get tickets for the Pit here.

That auction is going nuts! It is sold out, but still. I wonder if the winner gets to write it off as a charity donation?

My sister and her family cancelled their cat 4 yesterday. I knew they would change their minds. Sorry you missed it.

is this on ebay? it'd be fun to watch. no way i want to bid!

Okay.....I read everything....will finally get to chit-chat a little more tomorrow night.
AND, I'll have my new glasses, so all this reading won't give me a headache anymore. Getting older is so much fun.

Holy Guacamole on the 2006 prices! And to think I was looking into a 2006 cruise! Yikes!

Anyway...not much to add tonight, so I'll just say good night...

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!!

Good night!
Stacey

P.S. Gus....call DCL every day....twice a day....they will have rooms opening up.......

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday!

Another rushed day.

So off to ready the boards and then to work.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm sure there will be some rooms opening up since final payment will be due soon. I'm hoping for some cat 10s on deck 7 (hoping, hoping, hoping!!!) I really really like deck 7. But I'll take any room I can get!

Okay, for the Tyson's get together, let's tentatively plan on Nov 6th? That's a Saturday. If something comes up between now and then, we can move it up to election day, Nov 2nd, since all the kids are off school, and I think everyone's in town. Specific meet location and time will be worked via pm?

Nothing major happening here. We are still working to figure our where we're going to live. Owe a final answer to our buyer by Friday. There are a couple of options for us that should be clearer by tonight.

I'm going to make the in-laws final payment Friday (payday). FIL's cardiology appointment went okay. He apparently had another episode while he was sleeping about a week ago, but the dr just says that's why he has that special pacemaker. He said that as long as he's feeling okay, the cruise will be good for him. I know MIL is going to need the relaxation part of the cruise, so I'm glad we really aren't doing much in the way of excursions. I think I'm even going to wait on the Key West train/trolley until we see how things go at WDW. I'll just print out the coupon off the website, and the 1-800 number and call from there.

Last night, the kids asked me about staying on the boat while we were in port. They wanted to know if they'd still have sign out privileges if we weren't on the ship. I told them it depended on their ability to handle the responsibility, and that if they even one time abused the privilige, it would be gone for the remainder of the cruise!! Hopefully, they burned that into their little brains! I'm definitely signing up for the watch list! Since we aren't doing much in the way of excursions, maybe I can be the ship patrol on shore days???

Have a great Wednesday everyone. Lisa

WOW!!! :earseek:

And I thought this year's cruise was expensive. We were looking at doing a cruise in 2006 also but I don't know at these prices.

Well, off to read the boards and get the kids off to school.

Have a great day.

Happy Wednesday all!

Goodbye Fall, hello Winter! We had frost this morning! Brrrrrrr! Was hoping for a few more weeks of glorious Indian Summer.

Gus - DCL has had various categories opening/closing almost every day for the past week as final payment looms. This morning, they had a Cat. 4 open.......but as you said, at the current price. Also sending you a pm.

Sue - Whoo hoo -- another Marylander! It would be great if you could join us at the mini-mini meet at Tysons Corner. Lisa -- Election Day now probably works better for me. DH reminded me last night of plans we have for the first weekend in November. Will that work for you? Sue? Anyone else?

Yikes! Those 2006 prices are steep! Sure glad we booked our 2005 a while back.

:daisy: Stace - Hope your Mom has a safe trip back home!

Have a great day everyone!

Sue - Ooops! Just re-read your post about your cruise to nowhere, so Election Day isn't good for you. How 'bout November 11th - Veterans Day?

Sue - O.K., my brain is a little slow this a.m. (a lot?!) :tilt: You'll be in HH on Veterans Day. Lisa - Other dates? If not, maybe I can re-schedule our plans on 11/6.

GlenelgMom - I have moved my calendar closer to my pc in an attempt to schedule our mini-mini meet. ;) We may be neighbors, I am in Marriottsville, very close to Mt View MS.
