Anyone looking at any of the 2006 dates with 2 visits to CC?

I love CC and we did a 2 visit cruise with the DVC Member Cruise. I'd rather have Grand Cayman and Costa Maya than Cozumel and Costa Maya so i think we'll pass.

Clever!

I'll take the latter option.

Actually, that whole gourmet cooking class does have some attraction, my curiosity is piqued! So scuba, what's the scope on the on-board classes?

:cool1: HAPPY WEDNESDAY EVERYONE....IT'S HUMP DAY!!!!!

Came into work early this a.m. still working on A/P and now have payroll to work on. I'll be glad when this week is over. Actually, it is just about over.....I leave for Boise tomorrow afternoon and come back on Sunday. Nothing exciting, just helping the parents move from 4000 sq. ft. home to new 1700 sq. ft. home. Thank goodness. They have been in the current home for 31 years! Hopefully, mom has been getting rid of all that junk!

Friday....Disney Store. Looking for bargains for the grandkids.

Everyone hold on............the weather has been so unpredictible everywhere.

I have to do the same thing. Got a grand daughter having her first birthday next month in Houston.

Does anyone know if I can buy a Disney Store gift certificate locally that they may buy goodies in Houston. I'm assuming they do....

On my way out the door... HA ....never go to WORK this early!

Kevin....glad you caught that, at least my sick humor wasn't totally lost on you. Does that mean I can speak Eddy speak??
You can probably get a Disney gift certificate online at DisneyStore.com or at your local store.

Have a great rest of the week everyone!!

Off I go.....

Stacey

P.S. I posted last night, but the boards went down just as I clicked it.....I did say my "Good Morning"

Ken - have a great ride this weekend! I'll wave to you as you pass by out on the coast...

DH doesn't have tux shoes either..too many years in the military, he thinks those flimsy patent leather things look cheap. He will be wearing a pair of black shoes that he can wear with other pants as well so we don't have to pack so many size 11s!

We only decided to buy his tux because we'll be cruising so much in the next year that we didn't want to keep renting when we could buy and have a perfect fitting garment. It's a cost thing for us, but renting does cut down on the packing.

Have a good Wednesday all.

Cheers, Kara

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what my DW was "saying" there. But if you understood it then I guess you do. Not positive if that is a good or bad thing!

Thanks for the info, need to get off my butt and go to the mall....

(dripping with sarcasm!!) I just "love" to do that!

Bye, Stacey! Have fun!

Hey, I got the cartoon too. Only kind of funny, since we're planning to move there, and it's true. I read somewhere that they expect the hurricane seasons to be like this for the next five years! There won't be anyone left living in FL by then except Mickey. Bet we could get a house cheap.

Cooking demos, you don't learn a lot of cooking there (right, Jim?). But sometimes the chefs are pretty entertaining, and you get samples! On Celebrity, they plied us with specialty Martinis, after a demo on how to make them. It was the most entertaining event I attended on that cruise.

We'll probably move to FL someday too. Not until Mike can retire though! He wants to drive a monorail at Disney, but I don't think the money from that will allow us to live the lifestyle we want to live (i.e. GOING to Disney and DCL--not just WORKING at those places!) Good to know Kevin will probably be down there b/c Mike isn't handy with a saw, so we may be hiring Kevin to come board us up as needed! :)

I've been to the cooking demonstrations on DCL. While fascinating, it's nothing I'd ever cook at home. They use all kinds of ingredients I don't normally have (or would know where to buy) and use all kinds of kitchen accessories I'd probably hurt myself on!! :) But it's fun, you get a great sample, and a great wine to go with it. I've even tried things I wouldn't normally eat that were very good....for example, some pear dessert...I hate pears, but it was delicious.

They also give me an appreciation for what goes into cooking a dinner for 2000 guests and making it look as good as it tastes. :)

Mary, where are you seeing the 2006 dates and itineraries? I went to the DCL web site, it only shows through 2005.

Never mind, just check the Cruise board! We have been planning to re-book on the Dec. cruise for summer 2006, but people are getting good prices now for some of the itineraries. Wondering if we should wait until the cruise!

If you try and pick 2006 for the cruises - it only shows through January.... Chose a 7 day cruise and then it'll let you pick other dates in 2006.

I like to cartoon. We have clients through out the state and many are still without power and phone. But it sure is nice to see everyone taking their plywood down, for a few weeks at least.

Now the cooking demos. Actually I have used some of them. They tend to over complicate the receipe. I simplify them and use them. Or I pick up an idea or two, ie: using deep fried leeks, rolling a stuffed chicken breast (I used that method the other night when Matt made Chicken Cordon Blu).

The kids love their Tarragon Shirmp over spring lettuce with cucumber towers. It's easy and looks great. I think I'll make that for Thursday (is that okay with you Scuba.Mom?)

I agree, some of them I will never do, but I enjoy eating and drink.

Be forewarned, the recipes never follow how they cook it. They are usually close, but take notes if you plan on cooking at home.

Good point! We were trying to follow along and the real life demonstration didn't match the written recipe! He'd say "simmer for 30 minutes" the recipe said "boil for 5"

So, I guess the recipes are more Guidelines than Rules? Hee. I always wanted to say that.

Ya just threw my kids off track on their school work because you wrote that and I laughed out loud! Of course they had to know what was so funny! :)

That's it people. No more funny stuff while the kids are doing school! ;)

I know I am in the minority, but I hate to shop!

You definately aren't in the minority on that one. I'm a 26 year old female who hates to shop. I can never find anything that fits that I like. I'm stuck between the juniors styles and the "adult" clothes. I can never find anything anywhere. I also hate to spend money on clothes, so that's a problem too.

Now, shoes on the other hand:rolleyes: . I could buy those all the time - except sneakers, I can never find any that I like that fit me right without out them being VERY expensive (and I hate spending much more than $50 on sneakers).
