So, I guess the recipes are more Guidelines than Rules? Hee. I always wanted to say that.

See! I've been into that for awhile. Recipe, we don't need no stinkin' recipe! Let's see what's in the spice drawer.......

pinch, dash or handful

We makin' Oriental mixmash! (now that IS Eddy speak)

I'm sorry, but that was just too much information!!:duck:

:p

See, there's another one that made me LOL. Try explaining THAT one to the kids!!!!

Jenny, too funny. I knew I should have said flip flops, but that always makes me think of the rubber shower shoes, and these definitely aren't shower shoes!

I read a post on the DIS once. The person was planning a cruise, and was telling their grandma about what they were talking. Grandma said "Don't forget to take your thongs." The poster told their grandma what most people think of when you say thong today. The grandma replied "Another perfectly good word ruined by your generation!" I laughed so hard! I could hear my grandma saying the exact same thing!

WHAT? The back of the box CLEARLY has the recipe!!! And why would you need a spice drawer? All of the seasonings come in the little packet included in aforementioned box!! :)

Just kidding. Actually, I'm a pretty decent cook, but I tend to make the old fashioned "comfort foods" rather than the newer, healthier alternatives. Beef stew, roast, chicken paprikash, stroganoff with sour cream, mashed potatoes..... nothing low fat about any of those things. And I wonder why I can't lose this 10 pounds....

Oops, sorry, gotta run. Homemade peanut butter cookies need come out of the oven. MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm

I prefer the word "flip flops" because that's how they sound. A nice onomatopoeia :)

You' all need to get with the times: Isn't it just "flips"?

Karen, I am so impressed! I had never seen that word spelled out before!

Hey, change of subject. Where's Lynda (fluff queen)? Haven't heard from her lately. We need a good Cash story or two to liven things up. Or Karen, any new Molly stories?

Now you all see why I do most of the cooking. I think he does it this way on purpose, so I don't ask him to cook. If a pinch is good, a tablespoon must be better, right hon? And has anyone else ever used garlic when cooking EGGS?

Oh, don't be so impressed. I typed "onomonopea" into my online merriam-webster and it gave me "onomatopoeia" as an alternative. ;)

Wait, I thought you were looking for stories to liven things up, not to bring people down! ;)

Actually, she's doing well now. Seems to be getting out of her snappy, biting thing. That's a relief. When she's really keyed up she tends to forget we aren't a hunk of meat and she still uses her teeth, but we, like good parents, see the triggers and try to avoid them.

Right now she's trying to help me make cookies. That involves whining for bits of dough and testing the finished product. She's so spoiled. Luckily, she's catching onto her training, so I can have her SIT, then DOWN, then STAY while I take cookies out of the oven and she just stays there...doesn't even make an attempt to move until I say ALL DONE! We even do that and put a snack in front of her and she won't touch it until we say ALL DONE. Not bad for a pup!

I just remembered she had a loaded KONG in the freezer. Loaded it this morning with a piece of banana, some of KT's left over oatmeal and some peanut butter. Then froze it. Now she's licking like a mad dog trying to thaw the goodies inside. It's Gail with Harmony, right? Gail, have any KONGS? They are WONDERFUL!! Get one for Harmony for Christmas if you don't have one! If it's not Gail with Harmony, then I'm so confused. Nothing new!

Too funny....she's actually making suction noises trying to get this stuff out! :) Must be good!

Well, that was until there was a sudden downpour and she started barking at the noise the rain was making on the sunroom roof!

Too funny, I just answered this question not even realizing I don't have a pet named Molly! Didn't hit me until just now! :)

Not only do we put garlic on eggs, I eat pizza with pineapple and hot sauce on my potato chips!

I thought the new way of referring to flip flops was "flops." At least that's what I've heard lately.

Ok, here's a  story....

There is a knock on the door today. I go and open it and I see two things....

One, the FedEx man delivering hot tub chemicals.

The other, a chipmunk with it's guts hanging out.

Seems my cat left me a present on the step and the FedEx man was the first to find it
