The predictions for Ivan show it getting further and further away from FL's west coast. Looks like the central FL will escape this time. Jim, looks like you won't get your room remodeled.

Iowa beat Iowa State today YAY!!!!!!!!! And UNI(University of Northern Iowa) the university here in Cedar Falls is leading 24-0 in the first half. We usually go to the games but everyone was busy today so I have to catch the score on the radio. Okay, now that I have gotten college football out of the way, guess what is on tonight? You got it NASCAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, not that any of you are all that interested, but we decided what excursions we are going to do. Here goes:

Key West - we are renting jet skis from Island Watersports. We did the tour with them last April and had a lot of fun, but this time we just want to play on them.

St. Maarten - we are going to do the Pinel Island Snorkel tour.

St. Lucia - the girls and I are going to do the Caribbean Pirate Extravaganza and Rich is golfing.

Antigua - "Excellence" Power Cat Cruise & Snorkel

St. Thomas - the girls and I are going to have a beach day(not sure if we are going to do a DCL excursion or do it on our own yet) and Rich is golfing. Notice I am letting him golf on Christmas Day. What a wife.

CC - right now I think the only thing we may do on CC is the jet ski tour. It looked like fun last time.

Any of the DCL excursions we are doing that have 2 times listed we will be selecting the earlier time. So if anyone else is looking at these excursions let me know, it is always great to have people you know on the same excursions.

I think we'll be doing this one. It's the only one we've looked at so far. We're so far behind!

I've been following along but I just don't have much to say. I'm spending all my free time on my bicycle getting ready for my San Francisco to LA ride in 3 weeks.

It's hot here in Ventura - high 80's. - - - I know, that's not hot at all, but no one has AC here and everyone is melting.

Denise - Welcome aboard. I have a friend living in Poway.

Made the final payment on our Xmas cruise (Costco wants the final payment 90 days out instead of 60). So that's taken care of. Now we just have to pay off the Repo cruise.

That's it for now - I'm off to sit in the refrigerator for awhile.

OM - that sounds great. Maybe we can hook-up for this excursion. I guess I will need to locate some pirate stuff for Pirate night on the ship and for this excursion. That would be fun.

I mentioned this once before, but I will do it again. DH loves to golf and would love to have someone join him, so if anyone is interested let me know.

Ken - I know what you mean. It is in the high 80's here and we think it is hot too(even though we do have air conditioning). We have had a weird summer here. In July and Aug it bearly made it out of the 70's, the leaves had even started to change at the end of Aug. But now in Sept., every day is in the high 80's.(And most of the schools don't have AC) Go figure.

Hi Ken, Velo boy huh? Hubby used to until the kids came along...time time time, where does it go? Is your friend have a single track mind? We have a neighbor who is crazy about bikes. Will look forward to talking to you more.
LeiLani, glad to hear its not just here in So.Cal. Broke 100 today and we decided it would be a great day to walk down in to town to watch a parade. I feel 10 lbs. lighter from the water loss.

We're going to the Delaware "All Horse Parade" tomorrow. Yes, over 500 horses all parading down the street. And I have a dog who likes to take on much larger animals. Should be interesting!

LeiLani--sounds great. I'm sure we'll have met you by the time we get to St. Lucia! Hooking up shouldn't be a problem.

Ohio State Buckeyes waited until the final 2 seconds of the game today to win it with a 55 yd field goal. I'm starting to believe that the OSU football team and the OSU heart hospital have some sort of alliance....seems like all of these games are so close up till the final seconds!! That surely keeps the heart hospital in business! "we're kinda slow this week, Coach, can you have a close game so we can see some action?" "sure 'nuff, Doc."

Hey, I think we are going to do the Pirate excursion in St Lucia too. We haven't made any final decisions yet. DH didn't even want to look at them until he returns from this trip. He promised to focus on the cruise once he gets back.
Lielani, I will mention golf to him. He enjoys playing, but doesn't get to much. Is Rich bringing clubs or renting them?? I doubt Sam will want to haul clubs along with all the other luggage we'll have.

Tina - Rich just usually rents his clubs when he plays golf on the cruise. It is too hard to lug clubs around just to play once or twice. Let me know if your DH is interested. That would be great if you went on the Pirate cruise also.

And we worked really hard on it today. Today was "make furniture day" so DS can paint on Monday. They are out of school again on Monday. Maybe they will go back on Tuesday.

DS spent all day working in the garage and discovered he does not want to be a carpenter for a living. To much work and to hot. TinksDad won't have any competition from DS when you move here.

I will admit, DS did work a pretty long day and it was pretty hot. We will be back at it tomorrow.

We're doing the pirate excursion as well. Can't remember what we are doing in St. Martin or Antiqua but I'm sure they will be DCL excursions. Key West we're going to do the trolly on our own. St. Thomas we are doing Sea Trekkin at Coral World.

I just took a look at the current Ivan models and it does not look good for Destin or PC. They both got some of Frances last week and don't need any more, but than who in Florida does.

That's one of the joys of living in Paradise. You have to take a little bad with the good.

One bad thing, looks like Ivan has slowed way down, like Frances. Not good to have a hurricane sitting on top of you for very long. It's back up to 165 mph too. Cuba is going to get hit hard.

DH thinks I've lost it, I've been watching the Weather Channel. Well, have you seen the stuff that's on the other channels?

OK, I admit it. I have to figure out how to work the DVD recorder for Thursday so we can tape Survivor. I think DH knows how, but he's not telling. So I do watch some other things. Like Everwood, and Gilmore Girls. Watched the Apprentice tonight. Trying to decide if I care enough to watch it again.

Wow! Just 97 more days, and we're going cruising with all our new friends!
