Hi everyone. We just got home from NYC with some friends and I have been catching up reading the posts.

Denise Welcome and all new comers as well.

We were on a cruise ship last Feburary that docked at St. Lucia at the new pier.
Stacey you are right in regards to the water taxis there. We loved St. Lucia-So pretty.
Leilani, we are also doing the Private Estravaganza in St. Lucia.
St. Maarten we are going to rent a car for the day at the dock and go to Pinel Island. It is one of our favoite beaches there. We also love to go to Grand Case. Behind all the Restaurants on the french side also called restaurant row there is a small beach that looks over Anguilla. We love it there to as no one is ever on the beach and the water is so calm. Great for the children.
Key West we are going to take the children to the small sea aqurium and butterfly farm that opened this year I heard.
Antigua???? We are not sure what to do there. I was there a long time ago back in 1988.
St. Thomas-Coral World and Magens Bay
CC-we will just go wih the flo that day. DH loves to fish so he might do the deep sea fishing excursion from there. I will be singing up for a massage in one of the cabanas. I loved that last time we were on the Wonder. It was Awesome!!!!!!!!!

Diana, I watch the weather channel all the time and I am also on Weather.com DH thinks I am obsessed with the weather.

Mary we all want buttons. There are 4 of us.

GaRry, I know I owe you that order for the shirts. Are the children also getting shirts??? Is anyone getting the children t-shirts??

I can not believe I am still up this late. I am sorry for any spelling errors. Off to nighty night I go.

Have a Great Sunday everyone. Gail

Hello everyone.

A special thankyou to DVC4US, JUSTMESTACE and WDWLVR for the wonderful birthday wishes for Jessica ( our DD )

Poor girl........since the terrorist attacks she always tells me on her birthday "Daddy please don't watch TV today"
When she gets depressed about the constant news coverage we remind her that something special happened on that day as well.

With me, working on the Fire Dept. I really have to try to disassociate with one while concentrating on the other.

She was happy camper today............... she got a new bike, plus various other things. I suppose she gets a little more spoiled on her birthday, than perhaps DS because of what happened. But he does all right too.

I wish I could give her the nice birthday wishes from you folks .......but unfortunately it would spoil the surprise.
( I'll make sure to tell her about this very nice group of ours.....later)

For those who do not know yet........our children will not find out about the cruise until we pull up in front of the "Magic" in our rental car.
Even then, we might pull their chains for a minute or two before showing them the post cards sent from "Mickey" and "Goofy" inviting them on board.......( Thankyou Verandah Man )

I can't wait.

Gus

DW is writing an exam tommorrow.........then she promises, she will then focus on planning the shore excursions.

This sounds like a little something we should all take along on the cruise. You can ride the surf and post on the DIS boards all at the same time.

Very chic, weird, but chic....

Now we just need one that goes down 130 ft. I'll never get DS out of the water. Being able to PM his friends and dive at the same time. What a life. Of course I'm sure it would not work on school homework.

Diana, PC is Panama City. I forgot this board uses that shorty as the Port Canaveral. It's tough keeping track of what board uses what abbrevation.

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Blessed Sunday everyone!

Denise and afff - got your pm's!

afff - sounds like Jessica had a great birthday. We don't want you to ruin her surprise - you've been great keeping it for so long!

Gail- sounds like you had a great time

Diana - Mark loves the weather channel. For the last two hurricanes he even found a local (Orlando) station with a web feed and had that on. Glad to hear that Ivan looks like it is going to miss most of Florida. I feel for the folks on the panhandle.

Well off to read some more of the boards, then off to church.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Sunday everyone.

Gus-Happy belated birthday to Jessica. I am so sorry I did not wish her Happy Birthday when I posted late last night. I am glad to hear she had a wonderful birthday.

Mary, I also forgot to tell you last night that you can include us to in the navagator and listing of our room number is fine with us. It is an awesome idea. Thank you for taking care of this.

We went to Little Italy last night in NYC. They had the streets closed off to walk around. It was a lot of fun and very crowded last night as the weather was so nice last night. A beautiful sunny day today. The Syosset Chamber of Commerence is having a street fair today which we will be going to this morning and than while I am working today DH and the in laws will be with the children while they are swiming. It will be in the mid 70's today. Glad that the pool is heated where I work. This is the last day of work for the season and I have so much going on with DD's school that I am glad. I am chairing way to much and brownies that it will be a busy year. I also just got a phone call that I will be class mom for DD and I signed up to be one for DS preschool as well. I am so pyched. It will be so much fun. Anyway, Time to get breakfast on the table.

I wish Ivan would never reach land!!!!!! Enough with these hurricanes. I feel so bad for all that get hit with this hurricane.

Have a wonderful day everyone. TTYL-Gail

Good Morning all. We too habe been looking at the Pirate excursion as Pirates of the Carribean is one of Sierras favorite movies. Question though...I haven't seen any info anywhere that says whether or not little ones can go on the excursion. KIKI will only be 2 but would love to take her along, unless she falls in love with Flounders Reef. Off to church. Happy Sunday-D

I have considered that excursion, too...It sounds just full of Disney fun...I think it's time for me to find out if there are ladders to climb (Cash doesn't do ladders).........princess:

Looking like Hershey is out for us :( Ivan may be calling there. Here is a link to the weather forecast Hershey weather

Looking at other plans - either the WIS Dells or the Michigan Irish Fest. Final decision will be made later in the week.

Yes, looks like Ivan will miss most of FL, except the panhandle. Funny thing, the family that I changed the reservations for to next week, live in TN. Ivan is heading up that direction. If they had checked in at WDW today, they would have missed him. You just never know.

The Pirate cruise sounds like fun! But not so fun without a kid around (whine). Maybe I'll go and enjoy all of your kids having fun! When we did the Wishes cruise at MK last trip, we saw the Magical Gatherings group learning to be pirates before Wishes started. They were having a blast!

Afff, when your DD gets older, she might want to pick a different day for her birthday celebration. Sort of like kids who are born on Christmas day, and decide to have their own day. I'm glad she had a good one.

Gail, that's so great that you get to be so involved in the kid's school. They will be so proud that THEIR Mom is the classroom Mom. I never got to do that for my DD, and I remember when I was little, I wished my Mom would do it. I do get the opportunity now to drive for science field trips. Except as DD points out, "Mom, there's hiking involved". Sheesh. It's not rock climbing or anything, I can still walk!

Good Sunday Morning Everyone!

Looks like we will have a great crowd on the Pirate excursion.

Denise - I looked at the pirate excursion and it only showed prices for 5 and up, but two years ago we did an excursion that showed the age of 3+ and a lady was sitting next to me with a baby that was no where near 3 years old. My suggestion would be to call DCL and ask them.

Lynda - hope there are not any ladders, we would love to have you and Cash on the excursion. How's the foot doing?

I am constantly watching the reports on Ivan also. As a matter of fact when I was talking about it last night, oldest DD said I should be a meterologist. Very funny. We have relatives in the Panhandle(Destin area) and it looks like they might be getting a direct hit or pretty close to one. Most of them live in mobile homes, so I am trying to make sure they all evacuate. They tend to procrastinate so I want to make sure they are ready. Actually I just want Ivan to blow itself out in the Gulf because FL does need another hit.

Everyone have a great day.

LeiLani

Happy Sundy everyone!

Mary- I agree I think Hershey is out. Too bad, I really need to get there someday. I drove right past there last weekend.

Today we are off to the first soccer game of the season. Its a nice day, not too sunny though.

I too am watching all the reports on Ivan. DH is headed for Jackson Miss tomorrow and and will likely be affected by this.
For everyone involved I hope it weakens before hitting.

Have a great day!

Good Afternoon! It's still morning here, but not for long.

I was going to paint the bathroom wall that I textured last weekend.....but DH took all the leftover paint to the cabin. Nuts. Sounds like there's a trip to the Mother Ship in my future! (Home Depot, for those of you who are new here!)

GaRry......how could I mail your Mustang if you won't give me your address????? (protecting himself from the stalker:smooth: )

Well...gosh....what have I been doing? Working, driving kids around, laundry, driving kids around. It's only going to get busier.

I read an article in Design & Architecture Magazine about corked wine vs. screw top.......I KNEW I'd get GaRry's attention!
Seems more and more wineries are turning to screw top for their fine wines as corks have been found to carry a bacteria (TCA) that ruins the wine. Two to ten per cent of all wines have been found to be infected. The major cork producer is Portugal, and they are working on solving the problem.
Most of the wine makers are saying it's too little, too late. So pretty soon, they may be all screw-tops!

That's your educational lesson for today.

By the way....today (at least this morning) is my designated play on the computer day! Whoo hoo!

:flower3: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

TO:

Mary Ann & Jim (magiroux)

and

Donna & Daryle (parents of Glenelgmom)

Excursions........

Key West: We're going to just walk around on our own, maybe ride the trolley.

St. Maarten: Charter to snorkel Anguilla and then see Marigot

St. Lucia: Charter to snorkel and go to Soufriere, checking out a home for vacation rental

Antigua: ?? Still voting......the kids want to do the Dolphin & Stingray Encounter (I think it would be fun, too) DH wants to go to Nelson's Dockyard (and I think this would be nice too) I'd like to try to squeeze in both.

St. Thomas: Capt Nautica's St. John Snorkeling Expedition (if it's operating)

Castaway Cay: A little bit of nothing except for a Banana Boat ride.

We thought about the Pirate Ship, and I thought the kids would really want to do it, but they want to be in the WATER......they must be mine! I love being in the water.
