Hi, it's me, back to myself again and safely home! It was quite a day. We didn't get assurance that we would be flying until Sunday morning at 8 am. The damage to trees, signs, and buildings in that part of Orlando was pretty shocking too. There were some boarded up windows at the airport, and you know it's all glass, and the terminal smelled like wet carpet. Wall to wall people back there. We got on our plane on time (4:30), but didn't take off until 6 pm. They had all the planes stacked up to take off on the one good runway, and all were holding for thunderstorms. We were glad to get home.
Yes, I'm sure Leslie is caught without the means to get on her computer, electricity or phone or cable. The WDW high speed internet worked during the storm, but went out Saturday afternoon. So Stacey, I didn't see your post. We could have gotten that magnet too, sorry!
So from one crisis to another, I hope it's not a trend on this thread. Now we have to worry about Stacey's fires!
It was nice Saturday evening and Sunday morning, before the next storm rolled in. We had sushi in Japan Sat. night, and watched Illuminations from the best vantage point yet, along the water in Japan. Sunday morning we ate breakfast at Spoodles, and made a quick trip to MGM, where Alicia became a Streetmosphere stalker and found several more lanyard pins. We like to make the most of our trips! The craziest thing we did was Tuesday at MGM. We were in the standby line for TOT, and found a stack of six Fastpass tickets for later in the day. just sitting on the wall. So we went back and rode TOT three times in an hour! We had to admit that was a tiny bit unsettling on the tummy. On Friday, when the parks were closing at 1 pm, we got through TOT twice in 25 mintues. A new record! Yes, we are TOT junkies.
