great i need my sleep I guess i should have stayed a few days longer at wdw dont think my chief would have liked that.

It's not often that I have to admit I was wrong, but today I was. It started raining here in Daytona around 2 PM. What a great afternoon for naps since we did not have any power. Just got power back on and the A/C feels great. Was thinking that if it did not come back on soon I would have to cook the prime rib and lamb in the freezer.

Things are back to normal, but DW & DD still complaining about missing the Open Ceremonies.

Diana, call me if you need any thing.

Good Evening everyone -
Sorry I didn't check in earlier. We didn't get much rain, but it was rainy. DD (Sandy) ended up staying in Gainesville until about noon Saturday. Lots of rain and hard wind all evening she said. Glad she was with friends. She said the signs around Orlando were all mangled on her way home.
Today was our wedding anniversary - went out for dinner and then collapsed at home. After reading this board I was worried dinner might be Taco Bell or something! We opted for a family owned French restaurant.

We have another fire behind us, it looks closer than before, but with Jay gone, I can't tell for sure. He's my scout....much better judge at distances than I am.

Blessed Sunday to everyone!

Cindy - glad to hear you didn't have it to bad by you and your family is safe. Now we just have to hear from Leslie.

I heard from DH that most of the SW flights are cancelled. Hope Diana and her DD are either enjoying their extra day at WDW or finding a way out. I know some people have been driving to Miami or Tampa to get out of town.

Really glad that everyone seems to be OK out of our group - other than the inconvenience of being stuck at WDW for an extra couple of days.... hmmmm - I guess I can think of worse things....- YEA - I know I can - like working.... which is where I'm at again....
Now I get to work the next three days extra trying to cover for my sick doc......

I'm glad the real have shown up - and I'm not labeled so badly anymore....

Hi everyone. I was glad to hear that everyone is ok. But where is Leslie????? Leslie, please check in when you get a moment and let us all know that you are ok.
Diana, I hope the weather is nicer in Orlando today and you and DD enjoy your extra time at WDW. Hopefully Southwwest will be up and running tomorrow and you can go home. I sent some pixie dust to Southwest Airlines.
I was watching CNN yesterday and I really feel for all those people who have lost their homes, were hurt or lost loved ones. My prayers go out to them all.

Virgil, I hope the ED is not to busy for you today. How is your Doc feeling that is ill??? I send pixie dust to him.

I am off to work for a few hours.

A very quick good morning ( yes, I just woke up) and heading out to look at the progress on the house my friends are building.

Jay has a second cousin who lives in Punta Gorda, a wonderful man and his wife...haven't been able to reach them. I think they spend their summers, or part of it, up north with some of their children.....

Here's hoping Leslie is busy with her Pin Trading!!!

Off to find rattlesnakes in the desert.....

Can't even see any smoke from the fire today, thank goodness.

DS & DD are excited. No school for at least 2 days due to Charley. Most of the school are still without power. Of course DW and I still have to go to work, but the kids will have a great time since the weather is going to turn nice again.

I have not heard is Diana has gotten out of Orlando, but hope they have since the weather has been pretty bad today. We have to stop cutting trees early today because the rain was coming in and it has not left.
