First day for Jordan and Jared today...a full day. Jordan was up and in the shower at 5:30. I about died laughing, except that she woke me up. The girl who didn't see 11:00 a.m. all summer!

Jared's elective didn't show up on his schedule at all. We found out that all of the 6th graders are to meet in the cafeteria during that hour to get their assignments. That'll be a mess. And his locker combination didn't work when we went to try it. They "rotate" the combinations every year...weird system...and his was wrong. They called and gave us the new one, we tried it and it worked, thank goodness.

Late last night, I realized that I had forgotten to download the bus schedules, so I got that done.....made sure they had all their books and supplies.

It went very well this morning, we were all oganized. Starting tomorrow, it will be a different story. They won't want to get out of bed!

Such fun......

Oh well....off to work. Have paychecks to write.

I saw the pic on the Mary's site of the group, with Alicia holding your monkey nut. You can kind of tell who's doing the drinking in that shot. Funny though, I don't think Vicki drinks, and she looks like the happiest one there! I noticed you didn't say that I looked good in the pics. Sigh. I guess that ship has sailed.

Meghan was so cute. After she took the shot of all of us at the AC, she said "now how about a picture of the only one NOT going on the cruise?" So Stacey took a pic of her. We should post that one too. Poor pitiful girl, that got married on Castaway Cay.

Just picked up the kids at the bus stop...yea! Only one bus run this year...I'm glad they are finally both on the same schedule.

I wasn't quite sure they were my kids....they were walking together and talking to each other! I guess now that they are in the same school, they suddenly have soemthing in common. Like being siblings wasn't enough!
Anyway, it appears that they both had good days. Jordan (the blonde) forgot to take her schedule. Luckily she had looked at it enough, she had it memorized. Or, she knew which classes she had with which friends, and just went where they went!

First day, and they both have homework already....so I have to hand over the computer. If I get really desperate, I'll plug in the lap top.

Have a good evening! Looks like more rain coming tonight, and supposed to rain tomorrow, too. Glad I didn't wash the cars.
Hope it rains in the mountains and puts out the fire.

She would rather have taken the 'tall, dark and handsome' bartender from the Rose & Crown home with her. Then her DH would have known what all the laughter was about when he answered the phone and startled her while she was oggling him . He is such a cutie and very nice too - he also makes very good Welsh Dragons.

We had gaRry with us - what more adult supervision did we need?!?

Welsh Dragon - dark creme de menthe, midori, peach schnappes, orange juice and pineapple juice. It is a rather interesting green color, but tastes oh so good. Rose & Crown is the only place where I can order it by name, unless I have taught the bartenders how to make one.

I'll have to swing by the Rose and Crown in December and give it a try!

They also have the best margaritas I've ever tasted....even with all of our Mexican restaurants!
Or...maybe it just seemed better because Tall, Dark & Handsome made it!

And he wouldn't fit in my suitcase, anyway.
