Morning all. Happy Birthday Diana!

Well I just logged on to the new DVC website. Checked things out for a few minutes. It is pretty good. Can't wait till I can log on to my own account and check my points, and all that other good stuff! You would have thought Disney would have been the first to get this technology going. They have been a little slow in this area!

Well tomorrow is the day. I have talked my 70 yr old parents, my sister, her DH, my brother and his DW into joining us on the repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal in May if something reasonable is available. I took my parents on a little 3 night Disney cruise for their retirement, but my brother and sister, well they have never gone anywhere. They just don't vacation like we do. They have been to Disneyland, but never to Florida, and never on a ship. This will be quite interesting. So, tomorrow I should know the scoop at 1 p.m. EST (at least the prices).

Wow! Thank you all for the birthday wishes. And thanks Mary and Stacey, for the cakes! They look low carb, how thoughtful of you! I'm honored that Karyn came out of hiding to wish me a happy birthday. She's kind of like Tinkerbell these days, you just have to Believe!

My DH and DD surprised me with a pretty bracelet this morning. It's blue topaz, silver, and gold. So pretty and vintage-y. You will all see it on the cruise, I'm sure. Now to find something to wear that matches...

I want to reposition so badly! In more ways than one. Better buy Powerball tickets today.

I have a Mickey sundress, well, sleeveless tank I guess it is. Just hope it will fit come December. Also have a Minnie tee and capri's. I had best be starting that Diet. Ick...hard to even type that four letter word.

Starting the afternoon bus stop races......I will be so glad when they go to the same school! (I know, I say that all the time) But think....when they go to the same school, it will also be closer to cruise time!

I was LOL at someone's post on the main cruise board re: the Go West DCL cruises.......something like "if everyone just stays off the phone Wednesday, no one will get hurt!" Can you imagine how insane it's going to be tomorrow!? Someone also posted the repositioning itineraries, too.
This is supposedly the May one:

Port Canaveral
Castaway Cay
2 days at sea
Curacao
1 day at sea
Panama Canal
1 day at sea
Puerto Quetzal(Guatamala)
1 day at sea
Acapulco
1 day at sea
Cabo San Lucas
1 day at sea
Los Angeles

The August one was almost the same in reverse, but it listed 2 days through the Panama Canal. They were speculating they might start it at night on one day and finish going through on the morning of the 2nd. Anyway, the frenzy is sure to be huge!

Wonder if it's true DCL offered bunches of staterooms to corporate sponsors first?

Stace - So glad you're back - and congrats on the big-bucks win in Vegas!! Are you SURE we can't call you "Daisy"?

Yes, I bet the phones will be busy tomorrow. I have a meeting scheduled with myself at 10:45 a.m. MST and my door will be shut and I will be dialing in on that phone to check into the May repositioning cruise.

My guess on the return is that if Disney is going to stay two days in the Panama Canal that they will sit on Gatun Lake the one day and offer shore excursions for those on boards. As far as I know, the cruise ships generally do not enter the canal at night, they have reservations for the morning hours. Usually the freight ships are the only ones going through in the middle of the night. We got to the canal at 4:30 a.m. but our scheduled time to enter was 7:30 a.m. because they make reservations with the cruise ships. Did you know that the least expensive fare for someone to go through the canal was 36 cents? some guy swam through. The most expensive was hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's about what it will cost Disney each way to go through the locks. It is quite interesting.

Anyway, that's my two cents worth.

I did fax inventory control a long time ago for a higher category...but doubt that I'll hear from them. Calling DCL tomorrow will be totally impossible.

Morning all. Counting down the hours and minutes. I got a reply from DU also. They must have decided to send emails to everyone since we all were begging for some kind of reply and how this was going to work. I did talk to Donald (duck?) last night right before closing at DCL. He wouldn't confirm anything for me except the 1 p.m. I asked him if they had lots of calls. He said they were swamped with calls about the Mexico cruises out of California and had some calls about the PC in August, but I was the first one he had personally talked to about the PC date for May.

Hopefully, the price is right and we get the staterooms we are wishing for. Keep sending that pixie dust!!!!!!

Hi guys!
I called the Castaway Club this morning....the CM was still in a really good mood. She told me 1 pm for the summer sailings. Neither of us mentioned where they were sailing to/from. It didn't seem to be necessary.
I have been thinking.....the only cruises that are going to be really hard to get will probably be the repositioning, don't you think??
We're looking to cruise on the Aug 6th Mexican Riviera. Just hoping for a big room.

How do you feel this morning, Linda? I have 3 crowns, and when I went to the dentist last month, I thought for sure he'd find something else that needed done. To my surpirse, he said everything was great! That was probably some of the best news I'd had in a long time. I hate dental work. I'm a wimp!

Ru-Paul....you Mickey Sun-dresser....are you up yet? What time are you calling for your CA cruise? There may be a few of us Christmas cruisers on the Aug 6.....how does that date look for you??

I was thinking about Lynda and Cash last night.....hope they're having fun. I had been thinking that I need to start my list for Disneyland, and dreading it. Then I thought about the amount of work Lynda must put in just to go away like she is right now....and it's work to even be there! Boy, did THAT thought make me stop whining!!!
