20040131 ~ Cruising Jan 31 2004 Western Who's with us?

And Juli wins the geography prize for her answer - Washington, D.C. Turn in your coupon for a free beer / drink on the Magic.

Hey, where IS the party? We're back from the movie (Cheaper by the Dozen) and we're looking for a cold drink and some Hustle music.

OK, party must be over, or pretty much wound down. It's been a long day and Matt is not going to be home tonite. Soooooooo, I'm going to turn in

Since he isn't here, I think Cheri and I deserve a romantic turn down

See you tomorrow. Watch for the Magic in Key West

Dean, the "Thread-Head"

I'm still in shock and completely speechless as well! Everyone knows me and i don't know any of you!! Forgive me, it'll take me a while to get to know all of you - maybe even longer to fit names with faces! So, i hear i get a homecoming king all to myself, huh? Niiiice - don't tell my mother, but i'll be formal shopping before then!! And no, Cap - i'm only 17, sadly! I've got until Mid-March before i can buy those lotto tickets, vote, smoke, and get tatoos (i think i'll only take advantage of the first of those- get money and go on more cruises! hmmm- maybe a tattoo just to spite mommy!!) Anyway, talk more lata, gotta be loyal to my 12-18 people too!! Can't wait!! :wave2:

Princess Jill,

12/18 is a long way off. Go with the lead team, 1/31. You can tell those 12/18 people all about it after the 1/31 cruise.

Dean wants to know if the party is still going on. He's ready for a cold drink.

OK, Princess, before I drift off, just one question. Can the 12/18 group make you an offer like this group did? Your own personal Homecoming King for a week? Pop in there, say good-bye for awhile, tell them what a great couple of co-chairs this group has, how much more fun this group is, that we have our own speedo team, our own beer tender, our own cheerleaders, our own toque team. What have they got to top that?

See you all tomorrow. :teeth:

Dean

Jill - welcome to our group!!

I guess the party is at Jill's house tonight, right Karyn?! :smooth:

Hey now!! 12-18 is like family to me!! i'll get to know you guys too, just gimme time!! Besides, i was rubbing it in their faces that i got a date with the Magic in two weeks AND that i get to go on my boat TWICE this year.... And i'm excited that i get my personal Homecoming King, this is the life! Besides, i'm an internet addict- there's enough time to make my rounds... if i temporarily say "goodbye" to anyone it's gonna be that ultra-teeny-bopper "Teen Disney" page!! Soooo, what do i have to do to fit in here?!? hehe, anyone have any questions for me? i wanna get to know my fellow cruisers as best as i can before-hand cause i tend to be really shy when meeting people!! I can't believe it, hehe -it hasn't quite sunk in yet... this is awesome!

:rotfl: Talk to you later, kiddies!! :rotfl:

Wow, what a great party! We're still going strong, so there's still time to get here, Dean! I'm not sure why anybody brought their speedos, I don't have a hot tub, a pool or a lakefront here! We must have had 50 people in here at one point tonight - not to mention my cyber guests!

Jilly is still rather in shock and wants to find a spectacular gown to wear for formal night! I think her prom dress from last year is just fine!

This will be Randy's last night in this house - how sad! it has been a great day, but very tiring.

See you all tomorrow sometime - I might be hung over, good thing I don't have to teach tomorrow.

Karyn

Well its three am and it has been quite a night. Some of the girls are still up partying. I'm glad a few of you made it to the treasure hunt. Find anything good?

And who kept blowing out my fire in the fireplace--was that you Dean?--you naughty boy.

I still have plenty of Chinese food left so grab some chopsticks, take a seat and I'll heat it up for you.

---don't forget your jammies.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Good morning all!
Did anyone start packing yet? Does anyone have any great packing tips? Anything I should not forget?

See ya soon-
Dorie

I have started packing, since I have a trip to Germany from Jan 24-29. Here is a good list I found.

http://hometown.aol.com/entropym/pages/packing_list.htm

It is a little over the top, but this guy has not forgot anything. I plan to just cross off the things I dont need.

This board is crazy..500 posts in a week. If there is anything important going on, we need to create a summary for those of us who cannot read all of it.

Well, I'm up! Great party last night, glad so many of you could make it. I think Jill is pretty happy w/ her graduation present. Seems to think that I'm an excellent mom, especially to provide her w/ her own King-for -a-week! And Dean, she wants to beach it in Cozumel w/ you guys.

Gary, what's the weather like around you and the lower part of NY in the next few days? The kids here have to get back to Ithaca one last time.

Randy flies back to WA today, I'll see him in 12 days in Orlando. His flight arrives at 6 am on 1/30. He's taking the Alaska Air red-eye. I guess I have to pick him up at the airport.

We may have to change our tickets cause Jill found out she got accepted at Stetson Univ. (in De Land) and would like to do an overnight there if it can be arranged. So we might come in a day earlier (1/28).

Now that the party's done, and Jill knows all, I can pack for the cruise. I also want to finish the house as much as possible cause I really don't want to have to do all of it in 3 days when I get back from the cruise. I'd like to have some time to enjoy myself w/ friends and stuff before I leave. The house and all the packing feels like a huge unfinished term paper!

Well, folks got to haul all the sleepy people out of bed to to church this morning. It is the only time I will have ever had the whole gang with me at one time at my church! Then they all scatter back to their own places.

Have a good one. I'll be back on this evening.

Karyn

Hi everybody. Glad the parties went well. Nice and sunny today, but cold and white all over the ground -- and it's not sun reflecting off the sand on the beach.

Off to the Sunday Meeting - have a great morning. Dean - I hope the paper is here when I get back.

Talk with you all this PM.

Karyn - went into Petoskey today. I bought a book for the cruise, "White Oleander".

What a GREAT book. Very disturbing, very intense, very emotional. They did a nice job with the movie, but they left out alot of key parts that make you understand Ingrid's personality and her need to simply survive no matter the cost. You're going to love it!!

Good morning, all-

Internet has been down all morning so I'm a little late getting on this morning. I notice a lot of little girls laying about this morning - it must have a good sleepover, Cyberkashi. I see some awful slow movers this morning at your place, Karyn. Must have been a great party. Any pictures to share?

"We" (Cheri) were packing yesterday because we are really getting anxious.

We're trying to find our disco stuff today and practicing the Hustle and chair dancing. Oh, yeah, we still got it....

Cap, I brought the paper this morning but you were still sleeping so I just left it in the hedge.

Dean - thank you for the magnets, I let Ty open them and he was all "So someone we don't know just sent us magnets to be nice? That's SOOOO cool!" He's counting down till Patriots time at 3 today. It's snowing out and he and I have a touch of some stomach thing (uh oh...no quarantine please! ;) ) so we're just hanging out, except when DH gets back from cooking for the ENTIRE local Home Depot, he and I might hit Costco for phone cards and snorkle equip.

Juli - Ty is going to write back to John and Peter today, he said I can't watch because "Mommy you're too impatient, I don't type fast like you because I'm not a weblady!" *grin*

grandma_x2, that's so sweet of you to give your kids a night out - sometimes us moms have to be forced to "take a break", even if we know it's what we need, huh.

Renae, chair dancing is what those of us too shy to really dance do - we move from waist UP in the chair, and hope no one notices and pulls us on the dance floor! *grin*

Mornin' all - we just saw the new DCL ad where the guy sleeps the whole time - this was during my son's first exposure to the Carol Burnett Show, which is on a marathon all day long on TV Land...which, I am proud to say, HE LOVES. That's my boy! *grin*
