20% Cash Back on Orbitz Tickets w/Ebates

Ok great! I thought I read somewhere that you had to get your hand stamped. Glad to know that isn't the case. Do they give you a paper ticket or a plastic magnetic strip card? At DW they have finger print scanners at the gates that tie you to your ticket card.

Someone said that you get your hand stamped recently and no one objected so I believed it. It sounded a little old to still be doing that. I remember doing that process at WDW in the 80's/90's. However, after searching google images it looks like some of the pictures there seem kinda recent:

So is it sent by snail mail or email? :goodvibes

It came by USPS.

They were still using hand stamps in December when we were there.

Thats actually funny to me because DD and I have AP's while DH uses a hopper. I figured the reason we always got our hands stamped was cause DD wanted to and so we all just followed her lead to make her happy. I didn't realize DH actually needed his hand stamped. And I guess I never paid enough attention to him reentering the park to see if they looked for the stamp or not. I'm totally paying more attention our next trip!

Thanks for the pics. It's supposed to pour rain when we're there so I hope the hand stamps don't wash off easily.

Ack! I think I have missed this now. It's over, right? Does this deal come around periodically?

Am I the ONLY one who hasn't received the cashback yet?? :worried:

Nope. I'm right there with ya'. I contacted Ebates a few days after my order on 2/18. They told me they wait 7 days to see if the order shows up and then investigate further if it has not. 7 days later and they are contacting Orbitz to see why they have not received confirmation of my order. Hopefully this will be resolved. If I was not going to get the Ebates discount, I would not have used Orbitz for getting our tickets.

:badpc:

I sent in a request today to investigate as well. I ordered 7 days ago and have not gotten a credit. What's odd is I bought dining vouchers on Sunday and that got posted yesterday. This was my 1st time to use this as well and hope I get that $200 cash back!

... well at least there's 3 of us.. I'll keep the board posted of my plight, and report anything that may be useful to anyone else who may have a lag !

I am only finding a 4% cash back on Orbitz through ebates. Am I doing something wrong? I've never used ebates before.

Yesterday it was 10% and today it was down to 4%.

No, I can't find 'attractions'--this isn't listed on the sidebar on the left just 'Travel and vacations'.

I searched on Ebates for Orbitz, then when I clicked on 'shop now' an Orbitz page came up. In the blue section on the upper left, I clicked on 'Activities.' I typed "Disneyland" in the 'where' box, and then put in dates that included my dates but went longer. Then a whole bunch of things came up, the top one being "Disneyland Resort Tickets."

All that being said . . . it looks like it is down to 4% today. :(

Cashback percentages offered through e-bates are always fluctuating, but I think the 20% deal was pretty rare. I was surprised it was available for as long as it was!

I've read reports of some ad blocking software messing with the tracking tickets e-bates uses. I don't know if that was the issue for those of you still waiting for things to post, but maybe something to look at?

I bought one pass using the 10% deal and a couple more using the 20% deal and both times I received my cash back e-mail from e-bates approx 30 hours after making my purchase. I don't know if that helps or not... but there you go.

I literally am about to cry right now. :worried::worried: I went to buy the tickets today and as you all know it is down to 4% Oh my freaking goodness. I should have just transferred money from our savings and not waited. I am buying 7 tickets and that was over $350 back. I am :sick::sick: sick to my stomach.

Everything went perfect... Except one item... Just called WDW and had my tickets linked to my account after a brief time on hold. BTW the number to give Disney is the will call number.
The one thing.... In my excitement for a great deal I purchased a ticket for our June trip for our 2 1/2 year old grandson.... He doesn't need a ticket. Oh well. Disney told me at least he has a ticket for a future trip all paid for... Already have my money sitting there for pay out in May.

I bought tickets planning to upgrade them to APs in April for our adult trip, but got concerned that ticket prices may be going up before then. We have a family trip planned in the fall that I could use the two tickets on, and buy my APs now, but was worried about the "valid dates". Called Orbitz first and they said to call Disney, called Disney and they couldn't answer whether or not they would take the voucher later, I'd have to call Orbitz, but they did say that I could pick up the tickets during the valid dates and hold on to them until our fall trip. So that is the plan now, still glad we were able to get in on the deal, but don't want to risk AP prices going up so I'll purchase those off of Way.com and put these towards fall.

Got another reply from Ebates today saying it could take up to 40 days for them to investigate it. Guess that's ok since the check doesn't mail til May. All I can do at this point is wait.
