OP here:). 20% cash back for 5 park hoppers (purchased on 2/18) has now posted in my Ebates account. $277!! I'm so excited about this deal:lovestruc, might have to purchase some dining vouchers with my savings;).

Mine posted today too...220 for 3 kids and 2 adults. :-)

Okay I did it, I just placed the order thru Ebates for the Orbitz 4 day/5th day free ticket!

Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

And since I'm a new Ebates customer and made a qualifying purchase, I guess I geta $10 Target gift card? Cool!

Anyone know if I can use THAT gift card towards the purchase of a Disney gift card at Target?
Yes you can, and get a Target RedCard and pay for the remaining value of the Disney Gift card with it and get 5% off that amount too.

Thanks for the info. I've never even used ebates before, and sat down today to plan our upcoming Disneyland trip next month by logging back in to dis, and this was the first post I saw. A little while later, and I am now an ebates member and have saved over $200. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I just knew there was a reason I hadn't bought the park tickets yet, and here it is! pirate:

Thank you OP for this thread. I just got my $220 cash back for my tickets posted today.
I have another question about the character meal from orbitz. We have never done a character meal bc of the expense, but with the 20% off and the ticket savings I am reconsidering. I have a question about the reservations. I thought character meals fill up in advance. We will be in disneyland in July during peak season. If we purchase the meal through ebates can be reserve early? It says that the tickets needed to be redeemed at the gate. Can I make reservations early and give the tickets at the gate? If not, is it possible that the meals will already be sold out and we won't be able to use the tickets?

I had used my travel dates before without a problem.....Nov 30 - Dec 6. However, now that I was having problems, I thought I would give it a try to see what happens if I enter dates for March. It worked, and came right up. Once I got to the ticket page, at the top there was an option to change the dates. I put in my actual dates at that point.......and it worked! I was able to go ahead and order 5 day hopper tickets for the dates of our travel. Yeah! I would never have thought to play around with the dates, so thanks for that suggestion.

Also, I'm not a very computer literate person, and I don't know what I need to do to get rid of my cache. Where do I go? Where would I see that?

Thanks so much to those who have helped me thru all of this.

So glad you got it to work! beamer5 and you did great teamwork! Great job on both your parts!! :)

Thank you for letting us know it posted! I will also post when mine shows up. I took screen shots as I went along, too, just in case...

I'm using Mozilla Firefox.

OP, so glad to hear about your rebate posting to your acct. I was happy last year with 15%, and now to get 20%. Wow! Cant wait for money to post to my Ebates acct.

disneygrandma, here are the steps to follow, if you do want to clear the cache, ever... at this point it appears it is not necessary to do so. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache

I forgot to write down my tracking ticket numbers for ebates when I bought the tickets this morning. My Ebates account doesn't even have a pending listed, and qualified referrals is 0. Should I be worried? I know the cash back isn't posting for a couple of days, but I thought they would at least show a pending or something?

Go to 'my account' then look up tracking tickets, you will see the tracking ticket for orbitz there - pending won't show until they process it, seems it takes them a couple of days. Qualified referrals being 0 has nothing to do with you getting your cash back - do go into cash back options, though, and make sure you finished filling out if you want a Paypal payment, etc...

oh thank you jory29! I found it and it's there. I am silly I know to be so nervous-such a great deal!

Thanks for letting me know you found it there. I too, am waiting for mine to show up, but am confident it will. ebates is a great company. I just posted this deal on the redflagdeals (Canadian deals) website, as I think there will be a lot of people interested in this great deal. Thanks again, OP!! :goodvibes

You can still call and make a reservation...we got ours last time from GetAwayToday.com and it was the same thing we got a voucher and had to redeem it at the window....because you don't HAVE to have a voucher for a Character meal so you can still make the reservation....also the good thing about the orbitz deal is gratuity and taxes are already included!!!

I posted this in another thread too. Just looking for answers :)

I'm annoyed with myself. I just realized I bought 3 kids' tickets and 6 kids' meal vouchers, and my 9 year old will be 10 by the time we go (next month). Logic tells me that if I could upgrade the 5 day pass to an AP at the window, I could do the same for a child's ticket to an adult ticket. IDK about character dining. DOes anyone know? I can call Disney and ask, just waiting on another call right now.

What if you don't know your exact travel dates? Is there a workaround, or do you have to trade your voucher in on the specified dates? Does the voucher specify only the date purchased or the dates that it can be redeemed?

The voucher will have "valid dates", and that's the dates you list as your travel dates. You can always add a few days to either or both ends, just in case. I like to put in a day earlier, so I can exchange the vouchers for tickets the night before we go to the parks.

However, if you have no idea of your travel dates, then I probably wouldn't buy the vouchers at this time.

That's a shame as the WDW vouchers do not have "valid dates", and the admission tickets themselves are valid indefinitely until first use.

What an awesome deal!! I love Ebates :lovestruc

Is this something that Orbitz/Ebates does often? I am going on two DL trips next year and this would really work out nice for me. ::yes::

I am intrigued...does this 20% rebate include all purchases through Orbitz, like airline tickets and hotel stays? TIA

Ebates only offers the 20% deal on "activities", but there are lesser amounts on hotels etc...just check the fine print on ebates before you click through to Orbitz.
