I can't let this stand without comment, as there are so many references to "30 minutes before the second show."
Yes, they start SEATING the second show about 30 minutes before showtime, BUT that does not account for the
potential number of GUESTS ALREADY IN LINE for the second show when the open the seating.
On busy nights, there will be a lot of guests who arrive between 30 and 60 minutes (give or take) before show-time of the second show.
They will be standing in a line that is systematically allowed to progress farther and farther into the (very, very long) queue
that goes to the seating.
On a busy night, there can be thousands of guests, already stacked in that long line, being held outside the theater
as the seating is still being cleaned.
So, on those busy nights, it can be that guests arriving as late as 20-30 minutes before, can be at the END of a long line
(yes, the legendary "long waiting line for Fantasmic!") and may not get in until much closer to show-time.
And, I can absolutely, positively say that there have been many nights when the second show of F! has been closed
due to capacity crowds. I was there, more than once.
WILL that happen on your night?
Unlikely.
But, yes, it does happen, and not just during Christmas week, Easter/Spring Break or July 4th (because I don't ever go during those times and the second F! show has "sold out" more than once for me, on different trips.)
