2 times in WDW , never been to Fantasmic!

I can't let this stand without comment, as there are so many references to "30 minutes before the second show."

Yes, they start SEATING the second show about 30 minutes before showtime, BUT that does not account for the
potential number of GUESTS ALREADY IN LINE for the second show when the open the seating.

On busy nights, there will be a lot of guests who arrive between 30 and 60 minutes (give or take) before show-time of the second show.
They will be standing in a line that is systematically allowed to progress farther and farther into the (very, very long) queue
that goes to the seating.

On a busy night, there can be thousands of guests, already stacked in that long line, being held outside the theater
as the seating is still being cleaned.

So, on those busy nights, it can be that guests arriving as late as 20-30 minutes before, can be at the END of a long line
(yes, the legendary "long waiting line for Fantasmic!") and may not get in until much closer to show-time.

And, I can absolutely, positively say that there have been many nights when the second show of F! has been closed
due to capacity crowds. I was there, more than once.

WILL that happen on your night?
Unlikely.
But, yes, it does happen, and not just during Christmas week, Easter/Spring Break or July 4th (because I don't ever go during those times and the second F! show has "sold out" more than once for me, on different trips.)

I am going the first week of June as well, and I only see one show listed for that week? Where are you seeing the second show time? I only see a 9:00pm for every night.

They often ADD F! performances as the dates get closer.
Just keep checking.

However, there are many nights (most) where they only do one show.

Hate to be DebbieDowner, but, like you, we had been to HS several times and never seen Fantasmic. The lines were always horrendous when we were there.
We finally decided to see it 2 years ago and got the dining package at MommaMelrose's. We were seated in the Mickey section and had great seats.
The show was okay but not the wonderful, stupendous experience that we were led to believe. Actually, we were disappointed in the show.
I don't know if it was an off night, changing or lack of characters, but something just didn't seem like the show that we had heard about.
Anyway, it's only our opinion, but we will not be going back for it.

Disney has reduced the Fantasmic showings. There will be two shows for Friday and Saturday during Memorial Day weekend but all the nights leading up that weekend and after that weekend are 1 show nights.

SW fireworks are scheduled for Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday @ 9:45 and Fantasmic is still only scheduled once at the 9:00p time that you noted.

We love Fantasmic! OR, atleast we did the last time we went to WDW back in 2008. I love it enough that I told my family it was MY must do for our upcoming June trip. I usually just go with the flow with whatever the family wants to do any time we go on vacation, but told them we would not leave WDW without seeing it lol. I'm hoping to see the SW fireworks afterwards.
