2 rooms linked and using DDP credits when mobile ordering

2 rooms, 8 people. All people linked in MDE.

When I mobile order for the group, can I selectively pick how many credits from each room pool? ( Ie 4 credits from room 1. 2 credits from room 2). Or if not can I at least pick which room reservations to pull the all the credits from ?

Need more information. Are you 1 reservation (1 confirmation number) for 8 people or, 2 reservations of 4 people each?

If 1 reservation there will be one large pool if credits for all 8 people combined.

If 2 separate reservation numbers I believe each is separate pool of credits. You will have access to the credits linked to your reservation but not the other reservation. They will need to book for themselves to use their credits.

Two rooms with two reservation #
Room 1: Dad (me), father in law, two of my kids.
Room 2: Mom, mother in law, two of my kids
(I think we had to do it this way cuz grandparents didn’t have MDE acct when I booked)

I am the only one with an active MDE account and do all the reservations and LLs. Others may have an MDE acct but haven’t logged in for years.

Should my wife created an account (or retrieve her login/password) to get access for room #2 DDP credits for mobile orders. I’m concerned if I do all the mobile ordering for everyone the credits will all be drawn from room 1.
 
When we were at Disney a few years ago with two other families (3 total rooms), each room had its own pool of dining credits and each family had their own reservation. When we ordered at any Disney restaurant, the server would ask which people were part of which reservation and the credits were deducted accordingly. We never did a group mobile order, so I can't comment specifically on how that might work.

We setup a DME account for each room and found that to be the most direct way to handle things like ADR's, since one person volunteered to make all ADR's. You can then link as 'family/friends' or whatever Disney calls it so that each account can view what the plans are. You do have to be careful when using MDE, particularly for anyone not good using phone apps, so you don't delete a future plan in error. That is why I would not recommend an MDE for every person traveling, but only have one account per room. I do recall that everyone in the same room had to be on the same dining plan.
 

Seems like we’ll need a 2nd MDE acct for someone in room 2. And vary our mobile orders between accounts to make sure all credits in both rooms get used.
