I am so,so sorry. That just sucks! That is a big cut to go from 12 to 3. I am also sorry you had to do the layoffs-I have been in that position before. I have heard that CBR is really nice. Have you stayed there before?? They have that redone pool and fun pirate rooms I think. I can understand about the shock-that is just rough. Big hugs to you! I owe you your favorite snack at Disney if we meet up!! Hug those princesses!!

First, Sorry for redirecting your trip report. Didn't mean to do that...

My daughters and I stayed at CBR two years ago with my Mom and Aunt for a girls week. My little one doesn't remember it - she was only 20 months at the time. I chose CBR because DH hasn't been there and it really is quite pretty and quiet. My oldest really enjoyed playing in the sand on the beach. The updated pool is a nice bonus for this trip. Unfortunately they didn't have any of the pirate rooms left but the pictures of them look pretty neat.

Thanks for the hugs. I really needed them. We should plan to meet somewhere. I think it would be fun to meet some dis friends.

I'm so sorry, that is just awful! I am glad that you got to keep you job though. Just horrible that you had to lay off your co-workers.

I guess we won't be running into each other at AKL after all. I'm very thankful that I still have a job. It could have been much worse. It is very hard to lay someone off. I have been surrounded by some really great people. Yesterday was such a hard day on so many levels.

I am glad today was a better day! As soon as we both get our ADR's lets plan a meet. There is one set for 3p on the 17th in the France pavillon at Epcot. Since that is your Dh's bday he may not be so into that. But we can figure something out!

Have you tried to make any more of your ADR's? Others have been successful booking early. I called last weekend and booked my CRT and Chef Mickey's but the CM wasn't budging on the rest of the week. I'm too chicken to try again really. We might be able to do the 3pm EPCOT meet. It will depend how productive we are at AK and what time the parade is that day. DH isn't as enthusiastic about WDW as I am so it may take some convincing.

When I called to CRT the cm was also not budging. I have since called back once but a no go. I will be up bright and early on Sun morning. That will be great if you can make the meet. I think the Jammin Jungle parade is at 345p. I think it is a little to long of a day for my little one. I scheduled another day to go back and see the parade and maybe do the safari again. I really need to make my final ADR decisions. My hubby is also less than enthusiastic. I know he will be better when he is there. If ur Dh likes an adult beverage-tell him I will get him one at the Dis Meet for his bday-thats how I got mine to come along

So, I may have waited toooo long for airfare. Prices jumped by $60 each way. Accckk. I did try and call earlier in the week but the little one came out early from her nap. I have to call because we are using vouchers from a price drop in our tickets for a family trip to Kauai. Did I mention we are going to Kauai in 2.5 weeks. For a week, right on the beach...Did I also mention it is a 7 hour flight I am the DVD player and fruit snacks. I figure if we can do this one the one to Disney will be easy peasy.

I am finalizing my ADR's for my call on Sun. Should have final choices up later.

I am soooo jealous. A vacation on a beautiful beach sounds so wonderful. I hope the flight goes well. We took fully charged DVD players and IPODs on our flight to MCO last year. I made up some bags full of surprises for the girls. I gave them to them after we got in the air. They were occupied for a long time discovering their new treasures. I put Disney themed coloring books, crayons, stickers, fruit snacks, yogos, old maid cards, princess cell phones, etc. They loved it and I didn't hear a peep out of them. Of course our flight was only 2 hours and not 7! Bless your heart...I hope it goes okay.

I have to copy the goodie idea. Ours is a 3 hour drive and then 3 hour flight. I hate flying...so maybe I need a good bag for myself? We changed to the quick service and the Pop...didn't want so many ressies with our ages AND the cm deleted all of our ressies. I only noticed because I got credit for CRT which we made months ago. Yesterday a supervisor had to do some fancy footwork to get us back into CRT, BBB and Crystal Palace. We are paying OOP for those. Ugh!

I read somewhere that airfare is usually cheapest 60-90 days out and on Tues. & Wed. I wouldn't give up yet, but it does get frustrating. I hate the whole, should I book now or wait, waiting game.

Good luck on the 7 hr flight. pack lots of goodies. I like the Color Wonder stuff, stickers, pipe cleaners and of course the all mighty DVD player!

Oh that sounds fun!! Read about your battle with infertility on another report. SO sorry for your loss. I have also done all the tx etc. ODD was ivf number 4 YDD was number 6. Would not change a thing. Would have much more $$ though. I always joke I can tell them "I can tell you exactly how much your life is worth" LOL a little infertility humor.
