2 people in 1 br

Dh and I switch between studios and 1 br.. Usually if we stay for a week it's a 1 br. If we are there for only a few nights, then we do a studio. Sometimes we stay at WDW on our way to other timeshares in Florida and then we do a studio. Sometimes we have a 3rd person ( mother or Brother), then we have them on the sleeper sofa in a 1 br. Sometimes, if my stepdaughter and grandaughter show up they get the sofa too. We usually only get a 2 br if there is another couple or a larger family group.

Nope, I don't feel guilty about a 1 br for 2 at all, infact, it's the norm for us on longer stays. Beware though, once you stay in one, and have the comfort and extra space... it will be hard to go back to a studio for longer stays.:hippie:

My mom and I always book a 1 br. She is over 50 and I am 28. I would book a 2 br if we had the points, I really don't think the sofa beds are comfortable for an adult. I've slept on the sofa beds at AKV, OKW, SSR, and VWL.

DH and I have only stayed in a studio once in 14 years of ownership. The two of us almost always do a 1-bedroom. I agree with everyone that said that the amenities and space of a villa are the main reasons we bought DVC. DH and I are adamant about everyone having their own bed without using the livingroom sofa. So if we even add one more person to the trip we get a 2-bedroom. We've even been in a GV with only 5 people before.

Once our son heads off to college next year, it will be the two of us at F&W Festival in a one bedroom.

My wife and I, shortly after buying into DVC, would book studios to save points. Then, we once booked a 1BR (at KV) and since then there's been no looking back at studios.

Now the only time we book a studio is out of necessity (lack of points, availability, etc).

We booked a studio when it was just the 2 of us and we will never do it again. The 1 bedroom is so much nicer and if 1 of you is an earlier riser that the other it is a must. We also missed the full kitchen even though we don't often cook. It just felt cramped in the studio.

Stayed in a studio and a 1bdr on our first dvc trip, after we got home added on points so we can only stay in one bedrooms. the use of a washer and dryer was great dont have to pack a weeks worth of clothes now i can do laundry half way thru the trip.

Thanks everyone, well a 1 BR it is. We are actually doing a split stay 3 nights at BLT and 2 nights at BCV and I have booked a 1 BR for my inlaws and now for my parents as well for both legs of the trip! We are so blessed to have wonderful families on both sides who love Disney almost as much as we do. We are looking forward to our next trip together and I appreciate all your help making it extra special for everyone!
