Great trip report! When you talked about the date night I remember a few of those and it was very strange to not have to cut everyone's meat.

Caught up again after missing two updates. Again, I have an excuse, I've been shopping for Disney vacation stuff. Anybodey can forgive me for that.

I'm so glad that you had a great dinner at Chef Mickey's. We have never eaten there but we do have an ADR for dinner this coming August. Now I am really looking forward to it.

I loved it when I read about Skylar taking her first steps at WDW. Hunter took his first five consecutive steps at the Magic Kingdom. It's such a great memory.

Just finished reading everything! Love your family! Your children are adorable. I have to admit your trip is my Disney dream vacation -- first stay at a value, then switch to a Deluxe then off on a Disney cruise. Can't wait to read about the cruise! I've never cruised before and really want my first cruise to be with Disney.

It was my Disney Dream too. But it ended up being ALOT with two kids. Would I do it again??? Heck Yeah!!
I'll have the first day of the cruise up soon. (still taking care of sick people, including me)

You won't be disappointed with Chef Mickey's!! The dinner is better then the breakfast - of course when I went to the breakfast I was prego with Skylar and had to run to the bathroom cause I was sick. So I guess I should give it another try.

Just be prepared... once you go on your first Disney Cruise YOUR HOOKED!!! I want to be on one right now!!!!

It's so nice that everyone feels like themselves again! Dexter is sooooo skinny now!! I lost about 5-7lbs and I think Dexter did too!! 5lbs doesn't make a really bit difference to an adult BUT Dexter looks like a different person. I want to feed him ice cream and chocolate all day long so that he can get some meat back on his bones. I freaked out the first time I gave him a bath the other day.

Dexter came with me to pick up pizza last night - when we were there we called up Shawn because it was taking awhile for the pizza to get ready. Dexter got on the phone with his daddy and was telling him we were waiting of the the pizza and what was happening and he sounded so cute!! It was crazy because my eyes started to tear up because it was so nice to hear him talk now that he was better. He sounded so sad for those few days and him being happy made me VERY happy.

I woke up early since I still had a bunch to do. We didn't end up going to Trial's End for breakfast like we planned. We had a counter service left on our dinning plan so we just ate at our resort.

We also had four snack credits left so we took the boat over to the contemporary and bought a few Mint Smoothies (they are a chocolate treat... ahhhhhh I could go for one right now)

The morning when very quickly and it was already time to get on the cruise bus!!! We waited in the lobby until it showed up. Soon we were on the bus and on our way to the BIG BOAT!!!!

Maybe I should have named the trip report... Skylar Hates Disney Transportation.

She got happy once I told her that we were going on Mickey's boat... or maybe it was because I was tickling her.

They played a short movie about DCL but it was TOO short!!! It ended about 30 minutes before we got to the port. That lead to the question... "Are we there yet... are we there yet.... are we there yet???" And that was just Shawn.

It was very exciting when we started getting closer - but we were distracted because there was a lot of smoke coming from somewhere.

Turned out to be some 'controlled burning'.
We were all looking at the smoke that we missed the first view of the boat as it popped into view!!! We were all very excited once we saw it.
We went threw security and went to check in at the Castaway Club desk. That's when we got our first little present. They gave us lanyards. Very Exciting.. but at this point the excitement was so high I was happy when they gave us our room keys. I proudly put mine on. Then you have to wait in another line to get your picture taken for security. FINNALY it was time to board the ship!!!

Then you walk into another room where everyone is stopping to get their family pictures with the first backdrop. I knew we wouldn't end up buying that one so we just bypassed the lines and headed straight to the gangway.

This is the part I was not looking forward to. I'm not sure if you all had read about it - BUT a few weeks before our cruise the Gangway had fallen due to bad weather. It was now time to walk over the newly repaired gangway. I had pictures in my head of me falling with my children into the water below.

Now, John has changed his tune a little though since he started hearing all the cruise horror stories on the news. You know....falling overboard, pirates and such.

I love the shirts too. It just gave me the idea that ringer tees look much better with iron-ons than regular white tees. Thanks for that too!

Cruises are great - I don't think you have to worry about falling off unless your doing something you shouldn't be doing. (like sitting on the railing) And I wouldn't worry about pirates on a cruise ship. (cause I don't wana)

Ok... so I left off when we ran across the gangway to get safely aboard the Disney Wonder.

The DCL cast members welcomed our family and our cruise was finally about to start. We went right to our room 2500. It was all the way in the front of the ship. You couldn't go any more forward then our room. We all loved our room. I had booked a inside stateroom cat 12 and we got a free upgrade to a ocean view state room cat 9. We weren't able to spend too much time in our room right then because we were all hungry. So we headed up to the buffet on the top deck.

I'm not much of a foodie so I don't have any real details. The only thing that stands out was the dessert buffet. It was very good every day!! The weather was amazing and it was very cool to eat outside.

This is when things got rushed (next time we go on a cruise I may consider renting a car so we can get to the port much earlier). There was a DVC member meeting that I wanted to go to, so me and Skylar left Dexter & Shawn. They basically just told us the new promotions and played little games. There was also a giveaway. Someone was given a $500 on board credit!!! I won a little backpack.

Next it was time for the safety drill. We went back to our room. The kids were playing by the big window. I'm not sure if it's this way in every cat 9 room or not but we had a ledge by our window. So the kids were able to stand up there and look out the window. Well we turned our backs for a moment and Skylar fell off on her head!!!! It was about a 2-3 foot drop. She started crying so mommy came to the rescue and I was able to calm her down. But she relaxed so much that she fell asleep. This made me a bit nervous since she had just fallen on her head.

After the safety drill we went back to our room to drop off our vests and then it was time to go to the sail away party!!!

Best party ever!

This was one of the only times on our trip that I wanted Skylar to wake up.

She was fine after her nap.

Dexter like the party but I think the music got alittle too loud.

Once the boat started moving we took Dexter over to the kids clubs to check them out.

He played for just a short while before we went to explore the ship some more.

Before we knew it, it was time for dinner. At this point we were soooooo tired. It had been a very long day. I would love to take this time in the trip report to rave about our servers. BUT I can't. Our servers were horrible!! I mean the brought food in a timely manner but the didn't listen to anything we said. For instance.... I ordered Skylar her own serving of pizza off the kids menu. My little girl can EAT!! Well our server took it upon himself NOT to bring her food. So I had to take food off Dexter's and my plate for her. Then we kept on telling Dexter (when the server was there) that he couldn't have any more sweets until he ate more. WELL the head server told Dexter if he took just one more bite he would bring him dessert! Dexter took a bite and he took his plate!! Last time I checked we were Dexter's parents!

The food was OK - but like I said we were tired and our servers were idiots so Dinner wasn't the best part of our vacation.

Natale, what's a 'fish extender'? It's so stinkin cute! I've never seen that before.

Just caught up. So sorry to hear you guys were sick. My DS had a bad sickness in May and I was a wreck. He lost a lot of weight too but put it back on pretty quickly.

I love the nighttime picture of you and Shawn at EPCOT! And Congrat's on Skylar walking at WDW!!
