2 Nights @ AS + 5 Nights @ WL + 3 Night DCL + 2 Nights at BW = Our Vacation COMPLETE

One last picture of our door.
2009456.jpg

We had to wake up very early because our breakfast was scheduled for 6:30am :scared1:. Shawn woke me up at 5:45 and convinced me it was in our best interest for me to shower first. :)

The service at our last breakfast was HORRIABLE!!! I'm not sure if it because we didn't tip OVER the recomended amount or what... because we did tip! Who knows. After breakfast we went up to the top deck one last time.

I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THIS - the night before was the Castaway Club reception. Shawn talked to the Captain at the reception and told him that Dexter didn't get to hear the horn except at the sail away party. So the Captain told him that if we went out to the top deck at 8am (the next morning) he would play the horn just for us. :thumbsup2 Well we waited.... and waited... and waited. He must have forgotten. :sad1: That's when Shawn made the decision that our next Disney Cruise would be on the Magic. He said he didn't like the Wonder anymore. :rotfl:

Here's Dexter pointing at the map of our area... we live somewhere near Elgin.
2009446.jpg

We made it threw customs very easily. And then onto the DCL bus to our new resort (or hotel number four as Dexter called it) Disney's Boardwalk Villas. :thumbsup2

Shawn too a few pictures of the ship as we drove away.

2009464.jpg

When we got to the resort they told us that our room wasn't ready yet. :guilty: I guess I shouldn't have expected it would be since it was still early. The only problem was we were all very tired and the ground felt like it was moving. It was the strangest feeling!! It really felt like the hotel was rocking.

Since our room wasn't ready we took the boat from the boardwalk over to Epcot. But first we bought a muffin and Dexter gave some to a friendly duck.
2009485.jpg

Here we are walking around Epcot... too bad we didn't figure this out earlier!!!
2009495.jpg

We tried to find Nemo one more time.
2009497.jpg

2009501.jpg

We took some pictures with the characters before we went back to our resort.

Shawn and Dexter were not feeling very well and they wanted to stay at the resort.
2009514.jpg

So I called my best cast member buddie Trisha and we headed over to the Magic Kingdom!!!

It was extra magical hours at the Magic Kingdom... so where better to spend the night with a crabby baby. :)

Just kidding... she was happy! I guess Disney Transportation isn't that bad when Trisha is with us!
2009515.jpg

image392.jpg

We had a bunch of fun riding rides and she told me a bunch of Cast Member stuff that I'm sure she shouldn't have. :thumbsup2 One thing that was funny was... they told the college program people in her group not to make a big deal about the princesses when you see them all dressed up in the underground tunnels. Cause they are just 'people' too. :lmao: Who knew?

2009533.jpg

image394.jpg

After several rides Skylar (big surprise) started getting crabby. So we went on her favorite ride to fall asleep on - The People Mover!! In no time she was fast asleep.

image399.jpg

It was a very long day and time to go back to the resort and go to sleep! But before I was able to go to sleep I had to go and pick up the boys a pizza... they can't do anything without me. :rotfl: (it's funny cause it's true)

It was Superbowl night and they were playing it on a huge screen on the board walk.
2009539.jpg

Now it was time to go to sleep! Good Night!

Hi Natale! Longtime lurker... I had to come out of hiding to say I was so happy to see your update today! I know it sounds *insane* but I was getting worried about y'all! Your family is adorable. So sorry to hear your hubby hasn't been working. Hope the "family funk" doesn't hang around long!

Thanks for posting! I'm glad you came out of lurking. :thumbsup2 No need to worry about us. We're doing fine... even with all of our work woes we still are doing better then some of the stories I hear. Or maybe I'm in denial :rotfl: Shawn going back to work would be the best outcome -
But I'm afraid their won't be much work for him until next summer. Hopefully the Olympics will be coming to Chicago - that should generate some work for everyone around here.

I'll try to post the last few days of our trip by the end of the week.

Love the updates Natale! You are a brave mommy to let Shawn throw Skylar in the air! I would've had a heart attack! But you can just see the joy on her little face :)

Sorry you still never made it to Cast Away Cay. Bummer!

I love the location of your BWV room. How did you like that resort?

Skylar loves being thrown around! She's going to be a thrill seeker when she grows up for sure. But at least I'll have someone to go on Tower of Terror with!

BWV - It was OK... I didn't like that it didn't have a food court (and if it did we didn't find it). But It just wasn't my cup of tea... I would like to try out the other DVC resorts before I return to BWV. Although everyone is different, it's my friends favorite resort.

It's been almost seven months since we were in Disney World - so I thought I would post some updated pictures of the kids. They are getting so big!

Skylar likes poking her head around corners when I have the camera and saying "cheeeese" She likes to pose for me... silly girl!

I should have another update later.

Natale:

My goodness girl! You had so many updates it took me a while to read them all. When you get busy posting, you get busy. But, I love it!

I would have been having fits if I were on the cruise and I couldn't get into Castaway Cay. The pool sloshing over would have scared me a bit.

What's up with them not telling you Skylar had been crying. Like you said, obviously, she had been crying a while. I would have done the same thing you did, take her and leave because if I had stuck around, I'd probably have said a lot of things I shouldn't.

Oh my goodness, you guys got a lot of goodies in your little fish thingie.

Looking forward to more!

So many updates!

I'm sorry to hear about no Castaway Cay!!!!!!!!! :sad2: But, I suppose that is the BEST reason to go back, right? :goodvibes

Looks like you made the best of a day on the ship though.

That is just awful about Flounders! I would have been irate too! Ugh! What were they thinking??!?! :sad2::sad2::sad2: Your poor baby.

Love the updated pics of the kids-so adorable!

Hi- I started reading your trip report and love it! My 2 kids are the same age as yours. We also live in the Chicagoland area about 20min from Elgin, small world. Sorry to hear about your husbands job, my dad is also a union electrician, and is hoping we get the olympics. Can't wait to read more!:goodvibes

I only have a few more days to write about. :thumbsup2
If anyone needs a good TR to read - go over to mickeystoontown's TR! It's a great read!

So many updates!

We'll go on another Disney Cruise... but I don't think I'll look forward to going to Castaway Cay until we step off the boat on to the island. 1 out of 3 cruises doesn't seem like good odds we will make it there again. :)

It is a small world!! I wonder if they work in the same local!
Thanks for reading!!

We woke up at 8am - no alarm set. The boys were feeling better but I was a bit worried about Skylar. She had thrown up all over me twice during the night.
Trisha called us around 9am after she woke up. We had plans to go to Hollywood Studios (MGM). I finished getting everyone dressed and we headed over to the boat dock.

This was our view from our room.
2009542.jpg

Our joke while we were staying at BWV was, "Stop Looking At Me Swan!!!"

It was starting to rain a little, Shawn said something about bringing our ponchos but like most of the time when Shawn talks, I didn't listen. ;) It was hardly raining at the time so I thought he was just being over cautious.

While we were waiting for the boat I ran over to the bakery and grabbed a blueberry muffin. I broke off a small piece for myself, a piece for Dexter, and the rest went to Shawn (Skylar was sleeping). Shawn claimed I tried to kill him with the muffin because it was dry and I didn't get him anything to drink.

Our boat stopped at the Beach club & The Swan/Dolphin then finally to MGM. We found Trisha and headed over to get fast passes for the new pixar ride. The fast passes were for 4pm. :headache: I should have known better... I mean I DO read the Dis!!!

Shawn was very hungry (and still thirsty) so we headed over to food. It wasn't even 11am yet so no one was serving lunch. So we spent some time in the shops and found a really cute Yoda bobble head. The toy gave me an idea. Trisha LOVES Star Wars and Dexter is now tall enough to ride - SO - Shawn, Dexter and Trisha rode Star-tours while I spent sometime in the gift shop with Skylar. There was only a five minute wait for the ride so it wasn't long before they met up with us. Dexter had fun building a lightsaber and we bought a few more gifts.

Trisha & Dexter

image408.jpg

It was still raining but not too bad (we don't need no stinking ponchos!) We ate at the quick service by Indiana Jones. The burgers were nothing special but they filled us up. Trisha had to head over to the Magic Kingdom to go to work (how cool is that!?!)

Shawn & Dexter wanted to go to Lights Motor Action so we headed over. The rain started to pick up a little bit at this point but they continued to lad the theater. All the seats there are covered so the rain no longer bothered us. They started the show 5 minutes early because of the rain. Now the rain was really coming down. The show was amazing! We actually saw two cars bump into each other because of the wet conditions. After the first two parts of the show they called it quits. We've seen the show plenty of times on other vacations, so it was kinda cool to see them race around in the water.

2009545.jpg

Now the rain was coming down in buckets.... someone should really invent something made of a light plastic that would protect you from the rain . We quickly headed to the front of the park to head back to our room. We let Dexter stay in the stroller since he had a small cough. Skylar LOVED the rain. The nice thing was that it was warm out - so besides being wet it felt fine.

2009549.jpg

Skylar and her crazy wet hair.
2009553.jpg

We took the boat to The Swan and got off there. There was a bridge really close to our room, it was actually closer for us to go that way then to take it back to the BW boat dock. Back at the room I cancelled our reservations at the Wave and booked them at Spoodles. I spent the next hour packing.

Dexter was board so we took him pin trading in all the stores on the boardwalk.
2009558.jpg

2009563.jpg

When it was time for us to eat the rain had finally stopped. So we walked down the boardwalk and ate dinner. Spoodles is nice if your staying at BW - but I wouldn't travel from another resort to go there.

After dinner the rain started again. We got soaked running back to our room and were chilled for most of the night.

It's time to go home tomorrow. Goodnight.

Wonderful updates! You have been busy!

I am so sorry that your day at Castaway Cay didn't work out. That was a huge disappointment I'm sure. I can't believe the way that water in the pool was moving. Did a lot of people get sea sick?

I love the shots of you in front of the castle when it was lit up. Dexter with Tricia in the city scape was very nice also.

I didn't see allot of sick people - but - I bet if your sensitive to that sort of thing you would have been hiding anyway. :)

Great update! My parents live in McHenry and my dad works in Lake county, I think he is local 151.

Cool - I hope work picks up soon.
Shawn got called in today, but we think it is only for today. :headache:

Oh no, it's not time to go home already!

That's too funny! I think I was reading your TR while you were reading mine. :thumbsup2

We woke up around 8am. I did a bit more packing and then we brought all of our bags over to bell services. After that was taken care of we went down to The Board Walk and grabbed some breakfast. We had a bunch of snack credits left so we got some pastry's. I also got Shawn a diet coke - he wasn't going to accuse me of trying to kill him again! :lmao:

2009566.jpg

It was SOOOOO COLD!!!
2009568.jpg

We took the boardwalk boat to our 'secret' entrance. Then walked to the Kim Possible recruitment booth where we met up with Trisha. The world showcase didn't open until 11am so we had to wait to save to world. We hadn't been on Soarin (my favorite ride) yet so we went to grab fast passes. The wait time was only 40 minutes so Shawn, Dexter and Trisha got it line (so much for me going on my favorite ride... I guess we'll just have to come back :)).

Alone with Skylar.
image409.jpg

Skylar was getting crabby (big surprise) so I took her over to her 'sleepy' ride. This must have been my 100th time on Spaceship earth on this trip.

2009579.jpg

2009585.jpg

She was fussing a bit - but was asleep within minutes. I got off the ride with my sleeping baby only to find that someone had double parked behind me. Who does this? Normally this wouldn't be that big of a deal - BUT - it's very hard to take care of when you have a sleeping baby in your arms.

After I successfully threw their stroller in the gutter (just kidding) I put Skylar in her stroller. We walked around for a bit and then called Shawn. They were still in line  Oh well... at least the baby isn't crying. It was kinda fun to walk around Epcot by myself anyway. We went shopping and visiting some countries. The 40 minute wait ended up taking more like 90!
Dexter loved the ride!

We then rushed over to our Kim Possible adventure. Dexter, Shawn & Trisha got to play while I watched Skylar. Wouldn't you know she would wake up now. I think babies are built with 'mommy fun' sensors, and whenever these sensors go off they know they need to put an end to any fun (or sleep) mommy may be having.

Trisha had to go to work so we said our final goodbyes. After we were done we had to figure out where to eat. I called 407-WDW-Dine and made reservations in Japan. They were in 45 minutes... it took us about 10 minutes to walk there. :)
They said weren't accepting walk ins but they were able to seat us because we had a reservation :lmao:

2009587.jpg

2009588.jpg

Lunch was very good - BUT - it was now time to say goodbye to Epcot and wait for our Magical Express bus.

on the boat back.
2009589.jpg

We repacked our bags with some of the new goodies we just bought and waited for our bus. We were 30 minutes early but they let us on the next bus that came.

Once we got to the airport we checked in and then walked around their mall.

2009592.jpg

We were getting a bit hungry before our flight so we had some McDonald's. It was at the point in the trip where they money was all gone so I think we split a 10 nugget :lmao:

It was then time to get on our plane and fly back to Chicago. It was a very long trip and we were all ready to get back to the real world.

On the flight home they were serving drinks and I asked for a Hot Coco. Bad idea! Right after I got it there was some turbulence. We had a good laugh because Shawn was trying his hardest to hold my drink without it spilling! :) Good Times.

Our flight arrived in Chicago around 8:40pm. Time to go to sleep and start dreaming about our next Disney Vacation!
