The 1 thing that is catching my attention is that the ships are 2 years apart. Should be closer to a year apart, unless either the yard is anticipating a yard overhaul or upgrade or the first ship is scheduled at the very end of 2021, and maiden will be early 22,( Think Fantasy. Launched around Halloween 2011 Maiden March of 2012) with the follow on ship early 23.
I found an article by the local newspaper for Papenburg, the German town where Meyer Werft is located. In that article they were talking about the order book of Meyer Werft being nicely filled now with the new Disney order. However, the article commented on that so far there are no orders for delivery in 2022 yet and they quoted a Meyer Werft spokesperson saying that there is still enough time to get orders for that gap in the calendar and that Meyer Werft is very happy with the orders they have. So, the ships could be closer together.
I also doubt that Disney will want a Maiden Voyage after October 1, 2021. I can totally see Disney tying the launch of the new ship with WDW's 50th anniversary. And that is in 2021, late 2021, but still.
And I think you are thinking of the Dream, not the Fantasy. There it was float out October 30, 2010, Ems passage November 12/13, 2010, delivery December 9, 2010, maiden voyage January 29, 2011. The Fantasy time line is float out January 8, 2012, Ems passage January 20, 2012, delivery February 9, 2012, maiden voyage March 31, 2012. So looking just at the delivery date (which I pulled from a lovely Meyer Werft publication on the two ships they built for Disney) Dream was 2010 and Fantasy 2012. However, the original announcements for the Dream and the Fantasy to be built by Meyer Werft all talk about the ships being "launched" in 2011 and 2012. The current press release for DCL5 and DCL6 says the ships will be "completed" in 2021 and 2023. Not sure if that tells us anything though!!
